My Hawaiian BBQ mix and Cajun fries.
    Rob M.

Jacob gave a very friendly Hawaiian greeting and started my experience off to make me think I was back on the islands! He recommended a couple of popular items so I selected the Hawaiian BBQ mix. This mix had short ribs, BBQ beef and a sweet sauce with the chicken breast. Why not go with a favorite of mine - Cajun fries. Growing up with passion fruit, I chose the Hawaii Sun passion fruit drink. I took my food and went to a nearby park to eat and enjoy the sun setting. A nice causal takeout with an island flavor!

Ordered A3 the bbq chicken, bbq beef and bbq beef short ribs. My wife and kid ordered the mini meal kalua pork. Each of their meals come with a side of rice, cabbage and Mac salad. The mini meals are a good portion if you want a half portion. They're a good value as well. For my first bite from my Hawaiian bbq combo, I had the bbq beef and it's delicious. Every bite is crispy charred and tender. Ther beef has a chew but it's sweet and caramelized has a nice crispy exterior and soft inside. You get one short rib that's a quarter inch thin and about a foot long. It's definitely enough. It has nice fatty bits and has a nice sear from a hot grill. The short rib is delicious as well. Had a bite of the Kulua pork and it's excellent. One of the better smoked pork I've had. I've been to Hawaii and it's juicier than what you get at some of the big luau. They have a nice spicy sauce that adds a good kick. My kid usually doesn't like it and ate half of it with my wife. The pork is smoky and nicely seasoned. The spicy red sauce goes well with it to add some slight sweet and a small bit of heat to it. Overall, would definitely go back again to support this place.

We had two orders, 1 bbq chicken and chicken katsu and 1 bbq beef, short ribs, chicken. They messed up 1 order. Instead of having the chicken katsu, they gave us pulled pork. No biggie because we were excited to try their food. As we were eating, we found something green in the pulled pork. It looked like a piece of a sponge you use to wash the dishes. Everything lacked in flavor besides the bbq beef. We don't know if we came on a bad night but we will not return.

First timer here but not first time for Hawaiian food. It's in a shopping strip. Walk in and order your food and sit and wait for you food. We ordered 4 plates, 2 orders of musubi, and extra mac. It was about a 15 mins wait. The clerk was very nice. He told me for every order of $30, you get a free soda. He brought our food out to us and came back and asked if we needed anything else. The food was good. Isn't the best I had. I had the BBQ Mixed. Came with Ribs, Steak and Chicken. Not as sweet and I thought which I like. The beef was a little chewy. I ate of the musubi and it was good. Just needed a little more sauce which they gave me on the side. The mac was just a tad bit bland. Other than that, everything was good. The only bad critique I had is that they need to fix their AC or have fans going. It was so hot in the store. Not good if you're eating hot food.

Oooooh my goodness!! if you have never been to a Hawaiian barbecue place this place is MUST TRY!! I've tried others but this place delicious!!! And my new Favorite !!! my husband and I tried the three meat combination. Portions are big you get what you pay for ... The beef was very tender had an amazing flavor. The chicken was so tender full of flavor...you just enjoyed your food and their macaroni salad. Oh my goodness which is one of the sides the dipping sauces, not overbearing, but a lot of flavor very much enjoyed our lunch !! I'm ready to come for dinner .. lol

Just opened and checked them out. Great flavors and decent helpings but not quiet as generous as Islander's helpings... Which are usually much larger portions. Overall thought, it fed us well and were satisfied with our meals! You know it's good Hawaiian food when you struggle to stay awake on the drive home after eating! Lol

My wife and child and their friends came here after church. The food was pretty good. The short ribs was meaty and the Kailua was tasty and the fried fish was light and airy! The service was adequate. We would come back again!

When we walked in, the hostess had a poor attitude and was off putting. Unfriendly and borderline rude. We made sure to get there as soon as they opened because we knew it would be dead, and we'd have better luck at quicker service. Unfortunately, they sat us outside because we had our ESA animal in an enclosed carrier after grilling us about what services he performs, and I believe we were forgotten about since we were the only ones on the porch. It was a very warm day with high humidity. I asked the hostess if she could make sure the fans were on since it was so hot, and she asked, "So, you want me to turn them off?" We only ordered two apps of Roti Canai, one order of the twice friend wings, and an order or the donuts (all were ordered at once to help speed things along since it was so hot outside.) It took quite a while, and the wings came out soggy and cold, which is not the norm. A thunderstorm was coming in, and we had been waiting on our donuts for at least 20 minutes at this point. My husband informed the hostess that we would have to either cancel the order or move inside since it was about to start raining. She flippantly said that she would have to ask the manager first if we were allowed inside. We were so turned off that it really ruined the experience, and it was not the way we wanted to celebrate Mother's Day. The donuts finally came out (also cold), and I had my husband just give her the credit card without the check so we could hurry up and get off the porch before it started coming down. We rushed through the dessert and left. Not loving our experience and not sure if we'll be back until the attitude and service changes. We're bummed because we were always a fan of this place until now.

And the food is authentic. Hot Hong Kong milk tea and French toast are my favorite breakfast items and that's exactly what I got. If I were in Hong Kong, I would get them in the morning. But I wouldn't mind having them any time of the day! The milk tea was great. I liked the aromatic, bold black tea. It was fairly creamy and smooth. The French toast was delicious also. Fried golden brown, it was toasty on the outside, and nutty, buttery (with peanut butter filling) on the inside. I liked the condensed milk drizzled on top, instead of syrup, which I normally use at home. They also have other Hong Kong style dishes, like the baked cutlet pork chop with rice, fish fillet in creamy white sauce, and iconic street foods like curry fish balls, radish, and pork rinds (yummy!) This place is fully decorated with so many Hong Kong street items, like the big wall pictures of busy, beautiful city views, signs of major streets, shop signs, etc. If you're not from Hong Kong, they may not mean too much to you. But if you are, they're invariably nostalgic. If you want a delightful experience of Hong Kong food and ambience, come give it a try.

The green onion pork chop rice was flavorful and comforting. The pork chop was tender and well seasoned, and the scallion soy sauce soaked beautifully into the rice. Simple and satisfying, exactly what you want from a classic HK café dish. The standout was the stir fried flat noodle with beef. It came out piping hot with steam rising, and the texture was spot on. The noodles were perfectly chewy without being greasy or clumped together, and the beef was tender with that subtle smoky wok hei flavor. You can tell it was cooked fresh, and that heat and texture really made the dish shine. The salted lemon soda was bright and refreshing, while the Yuen Yeung was strong and smooth with that classic Hong Kong milk tea and coffee combo kick. The tofu pudding had an authentic Hong Kong flavor. Served warm with a light ginger sugar syrup, it was silky smooth, delicate, and not overly sweet, bringing back that nostalgic HK dessert shop vibe. If you're craving classic Hong Kong cha chaan teng comfort food, this place absolutely hits the spot. Prices are reasonable, portions are generous, and it feels like a true neighborhood spot. We will be back.

The "lunch special" side feels more Americanized. Food came out fast (about 10 minutes). My favorites were the litchi-shaped pork, 老酒蛏子, and the three-braised combo. The pork was very lean with great sweet and sour sauce. The 老酒蛏子 was fragrant, tender, and full of umami. The three-braised combo was braised just right and very flavorful; didn't need the extra sauce on the side. Only one person was working the floor (the boss lady), who was very chatty since it wasn't busy. Overall, a decent spot.
