Our waiter was friendly and spoke great English, brought out pan con tomate to start followed by the first paella listed on the menu (recommended by our waiter) and the squid ink. Both were phenomenal, and we were able to see the paella being made! This was a great way to end the day, and the restaurant is right on the beach- perfect for a night stroll.

We were a party of 4 so without asking they put 2 tables together. We were thirsty so they brought us our drinks pretty quickly. The waiter had no English and the head guy only had some. He came out and with virtually no Spanish we explained that one in out party was a vegetarian and we wanted tapas. He said he would pick for us and I gave the thumbs up. They brought out olives, a tomatoes and goat cheeses salad, chips and guacamole, cheese pizza, olives and boneless sardines, toast with cheese and bushutto, potatoes and cheese, toast jam and cheese, and a had brownish and cheese dish. Needless to say we were swamped with food and they only charged 25 euros. It was all good except the sardines were really salty. The potatoes with cheese isn't something I'd order again. Everything else I'd definitely order again. The only downside is it's a dog friendly park so there are flies. Also they don't take credit cards.

Check the website to confirm the hours because the Yelp hours weren't correct and we ended up coming about and hour and a half before they closed. The staff still welcomed us in but we tried to be polite and finish early. We order drinks. I got the sangria since I wanted to try it while in Spain. The alcohol was jussssst right, if you know what I mean. I think, altogether we order just about everything on the menu between us and the portion sizes were great for being able to share amongst the table. I ordered the Indian curry with rice. We also shared the baked cauliflower, mushroom puffed pastry, the honey miso aubergine, and the goat cheese mixed greens. Every last dish was wonderfully seasoned and the flavors were AMAZING, in my opinion. The only thing that wasn't up my alley was the aubergine. This is no fault of the chef. I just am trying to love aubergine/eggplant but just haven't found a dish that makes me swoon. It's a texture thing I think. Anyway, I really loved the mushroom puffed pastry and I normally have an aversion to mushrooms as well...texture thing yet again. The desserts were great too. I literally sucked the caramel flan in three bites. It was deee-licous! This place definitely is on my list of places the next time I'm in Barcelona. The decor and lighting was great for the ambiance, the staff were very nice, and the food came out fast and tasted perfect especially after a long day exploring Barcelona. Cheers!

We had the mushroom croquettes, the bread with tomatoes, and the burrata with nectarines on brioche which was the best of the three. We finished with the pumpkin pie with cardamom and the flan. Disclaimer: I am an omnivore. I *love* a good piece of meat, whether beef, pork, fish, or fowl…read more Whenever I visit a restaurant that includes "vegetarian / vegan options," I avoid them. It seems those places try to accommodate the person in the group that doesn't eat meat, and usually serve a bland glop. Well... When going to a restaurant like La Riera, where ALL of the menu options are vegetarian or vegan, you know that they'll understand spicing. Nuance. FLAVOR. La Riera absolutely does! Our party of four walked in a bit late for lunch (it was almost 3:30, after an extended tour of Camp Nou) but they graciously seated us and were happy to explain their dishes in English. I had their "menu al dia," which included three plates and a dessert, plus either a white sangria or a juice. (The entire table shared a wonderful pan integral and a large bottle of water.) The mushroom soup was certainly in the top five I've had. EVER. The vegetarian paella was flavorful (although the texture of the rice was a little overdone). My third plate was a wonderful vegetable and tofu combination that was absolutely spectacular! The apple tart I had for dessert was very tasty indeed, and a generous portion. We dd not feel rushed, AT ALL, even though when we left an hour later we were the last ones there. All of this for € 10 per person. I'll have to find another excuse to visit that side of town again, if only to return to La Riera!

For 10 euros a person, each table got free bread and a bottle of water. You could select five different courses and they were all magnificent. Glad it was my first meal in Barcelona. For 50 euros, our family filled our bellies with delicious food!!

This place marked the spot. There's plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. I preferred an indoor seat this evening because of the heat. First, the paella comes in a hearty serving. Definitely will fill you up. I arrived around 7ish for perspective and they made this to order. The paella was made wonderfully. Me personally, it seems a bit too rice heavy and not enough seasoning for my preference, but that is more an indictment on paella and not this place. They did have plenty of other options so I'm sure people are satisfied regardless.

Very filling, and such good vegetables. The fish/meat substitute was super good. Really well done. Reasonably priced for LA standards. Not sure what standard BCN pricing is but my entree was ~15 euro. Had a small amount of leftovers. Ambiance was great, too. And staff able to speak English if you have any questions. Great allergen labeling. All around stellar spot. PS my walking tour guide said Born is much cooler and less touristy than the Gothic District- if that helps you choose which location. And the church across the plaza is free after 6 pm so pop in and look for the FC Barcelona window.
