Not happy with the final project. I wanted weed protection fabric under the mulch and Brad refused to use it. The mulch is inundated with weeds now. Everyone has a different opinion whether weed protection fabric is good or not. I, the customer, wanted the weed protection fabric but Brad refuses. I spend approx. $18,000.00 on this landscape design and at the very least, Brad could have given me the weed protection fabric. I do not recommend this company at all. read more

Please do some research and have a good idea of what you want. Know the difference between a 1gal plant and a 5gal plant. My ignorance was to not really research and hopefully rely on the professionals to do their thing which I wasn't happy with originally. These guys were amazing. They expected to complete the job in 5 days but actually finished in 3. It's just incredible what they can accomplish in one day. I love my new desert friendly landscape and it will be home to hummingbirds, bees and butterflies in the spring. Over the winter, the shrubs and tall grasses still look great, even as baby plants. My only complaint is that one of the workers was a smoker so I keep finding cigarette butts in the decorative bark! read more

It's been almost a year since Greenbee transformed my front and back yards. What follows is a text I sent to them in early May: I was just out front smoking in the shade and talking on the phone, when I saw a weed sticking up. As I chatted and smoked, I wandered about gently pulling up and weeds that I found encroaching on any of the plants. By doing so, I became aware of how much is happening around the yard. The Jasmine has some delicate white flowers starting up. There are both red and purple flowers on the guys in the first picture. I watched a bumblebee going from bloom to bloom making those yes/no decisions as I do when at the grocery picking through potatoes or apples, and each time he alighted, and crawled deep into his chosen trumpet, I silently cheered him on and felt honored that my garden was good enough for him. The back yard has the same thing going on with the fig tree blooming yellow flowers with those those crazy red stamens (I think that's what they're called) in picture #2. There are big pink flowers on nearby bushes that pop open each morning, and shut down each evening. And I can't ignore the succulents: some are flowering and the plain ole ones are just plumping up and looking gorgeous. I want to say that what you've done here, has given me an unexpected happiness in having such a wonderful environment right outside my front and back doors. Thanks!! read more

I called them prior to the appointment day to ask a few questions so I could be prepared for them. During the conversation I had mentioned that my husband would be at work. Had a xeriscape project done by Greenbee. Results were initially great, but one red flag was the owner being argumentative with my dad. It is not unusual for Brad to be combative. After the work, we signed up for monthly maintenance. The first maintenance was excellent. They weeded and everything looked great. But there was constant turnover of the staff and the people they employed over time were less and less helpful and less thorough. After a year or so we wanted to replace a couple of sprinklers with drip irrigation. Greenbee took the job, and came out and did half the work. They told us they'd be back to finish the job, but month after month went by and the staff always said "we'll be back with the parts next week" but then played dumb. I emailed and called Greenbee several times to ask them to complete work I had paid for. They finally did the work. I'm giving 2 stars for the initial work (which was five stars), and zero stars for the rest of their work. read more

GreenBee has helpful staff members who are ready to assist you and give you information about the plants. They have a pretty decent selection of drought-tolerant plants, but honestly, their selection was a tad better than the average Home Depot or Lowe's. I don't know if maybe they were understocked because it's spring and everyone is planting and buying... Something that was a big turn-off was the fact that only some of the plants were labeled with the price. That made shopping very inconvenient because I couldn't tell if the plants I wanted were reasonably priced and within my budget. After calling a few landscape businesses here in the AV, trying to schedule measurements & quotes, Greenbee came to our rescue. We needed a basic, easy upkeep yard but we had some requests. We needed St. Augustine sod, I guess that's not a common request out here lol. We have 2 large dogs that are rough on grass, St Augustine is hardy pet friendly & kid friendly. We also needed cement poured, patio & extend driveway. Brad took our requests in stride. This company got to work & gave us two beautiful design plans. We had to stick with a budget (ugh!). Brad spoke with us & reassured us we could do 'phases' or they do financing (yay!). Brad & Dave worked with us to figure out what were the essentials & what we could do in phase 2. I sincerely commend Brad with his patience of all of my phone calls, texts & emails of changes & questions. Of course everyone wants complete paradise when they walk out there door, but landscape/irrigation costs. These men came during our horrible heat wave & worked when no one wanted to be outside. They removed huge amounts of flagstone & gravel. They checked all of our existing irrigation to make sure of all areas were getting properly watered, replaced broken ones. Also, installed new irrigation/drainage in back. Prepped areas for our phase 2. Absolutely awesome workers, very professional. Unfortunately, these guys don't really worry about the long term. They provide very small plants, saying that they will grow big within a year. They don't. They say they will replace plants that don't do well for up to one year, they did one at 6 mo. They didn't bother coming back when we said others didn't do well. To be honest, the product wasn't even what they promised. They had told us that we would have a nice flagstone patio area. We have... 3 individual flagstones? They claim that the materials crumbled when they arrived. Ok so I don't get what I paid for? The irrigation drip system appeared to have no issues, but we have had many issues with irrigation malfunctioning and our water running for hours. They claim dust got into the system. Ok, why don't I ever have this "dust" problem with my other irrigation systems? We have added several of our own plants to the landscape to distract from how small their plants are. They are costly and not good on their promises. I will always remember their poor quality and lack of commitment to their customers. read more
