I had their Krispy Kuntry Katfish with mixed greens, hush puppies and a side salad I have been coming for years and it's consistently delicious with friendly staff.

I remembered a good visit so that's why I returned. Vernon's has its own parking lot and is a table service restaurant specializing in catfish among other seafood items. I ordered a small order of fried catfish with hush puppies for $17. Two sides come with the meal and I chose mashed potatoes and fried okra. First to arrive was a large amount of fried hushpuppies to nosh on and they were enjoyed. Within 10 minutes later the meal was delivered. 4 pieces of fried catfish fillets, a bowl of mashed potatoes with gravy and a decent sized serving of fried okra. It was a lot of food! I was surprised how large the catfish pieces were and they tasted very good being nicely battered and with plenty of meat. I can see why Vernon's is famous for their fried catfish. The mashed potatoes and okra were delicious too. It was a filling meal for sure. Finally the table service was warm and friendly in a neighborly way. I like Vernon's Kuntry Katfish and understand why it's a popular pace to dine.

I had to come leave a review for our experience at First Watch on I-45 in Conroe because WOW. From…read morethe moment we walked in, the hospitality was unmatched. I came in with my mom, nana, husband, and my service dog, and our server Makayla genuinely made this one of the best dining experiences I've had in a very long time. What shocked me most is finding out she's actually pretty new, because she handled that busy brunch rush like a seasoned professional. She was incredibly attentive, kind, patient, and so thoughtful the entire time we were there. She made sure my family's coffee cups never went empty, constantly checked on us without hovering, and somehow managed to keep everything flowing smoothly even while the restaurant was packed. One thing that really stood out to me was how caring she was toward my service dog. Not everybody pays attention to those little details, but she did immediately. I ordered the Trio Breakfast with a plain waffle specifically for him, and without me even having to repeat myself, she made sure there was absolutely no butter or syrup on it because she remembered it was for my dog. That level of attentiveness meant a lot to me. Now let's talk about the MILLION DOLLAR POTATOES. Whoever created those deserves a raise immediately. As a pregnant woman in my first trimester, eating has honestly been a struggle lately because almost nothing sounds good or stays satisfying. Those potatoes were one of the first things in a while that actually made me excited to eat. They were savory, comforting, flavorful, and honestly addictive. I was so invested in those potatoes that I can barely even remember what the rest of my family ordered . I asked Makayla what was in them because I was genuinely blown away, and she took the time to explain everything to me so sweetly. She also made sure our food came out hot and quickly, and you could tell she truly cared about people having a good experience, not just "doing her job." I even asked to speak with her manager because excellent service deserves recognition. Aaron, the manager, was just as wonderful. You could tell he genuinely took pride in hearing positive feedback about Makayla, especially as a new hire. He thanked us for coming in, was extremely kind and informative, and honestly helped create such a welcoming atmosphere overall. I told my family I wish I could throw Makayla, Aaron, and the million dollar potatoes into my suitcase and bring them all back home to California with me . Unfortunately, there are no First Watch locations in California, which honestly feels criminal at this point. To Makayla and Aaron: thank you for making a pregnant woman, her family, and her service dog feel genuinely cared for. In a busy brunch restaurant, that level of hospitality is rare, and it absolutely did not go unnoticed. We will remember this experience for a very long time.

Why 4 stars? Because pancakes + nostalgia carry the day here…read more --- --- --- As a kid, I recall the pancakes here being absolutely amazing. Sometimes, you remember something in your head being better than it really is, but despite not visiting a Cracker Barrel in at least a decade (maybe two), those pancakes are exactly how I remember them: perfect. The rest of the food? Yikes. We ordered a cinnamon roll skillet and it was pretty terrible. First off, it was mildly warm, at best. It looked like it had been sitting in the skillet for a few hours and tasted no different. I reluctantly finished one of the mini rolls but it was not worth the calories. And I also ordered a campfire skillet. This is one of those situations where when you almost exclusively eat at highly-rated, mom & pop restaurants, you forget how bad these big, corporate chains really are. It was passable when I masked it with some ketchup, but the eggs look like they were spit out of some giant machine that makes 1,000 plates an hour. It shouldn't take that much effort to make decent eggs, which leaves me confused. But between the pancakes and the museum of rare candies in the shop, Cracker Barrel is still an enjoyable experience. We all agonized over what candy to take home because there were so many good options. And everyone who worked here was super friendly. Just don't come in with high expectations for the non-pancake portion of the menu.

It seems to make no difference if it's morning/night or even different days of the week, it just varies a lot. Additionally, there has been a smell in the women's restroom that absolutely reeks for going over six months now that they just have not gotten rid of. The only part that keeps us coming back is my son's enjoyment of the chicken and the servers are often quite friendly. Granted many servers are new whenever we go (so I believe there is a lot of turnover) but they all are generally quite nice.

The portions were very generous. We all ate off that buffet all day long! The food was delicious! The tortillas were obviously homemade, the guacamole was creamy and fresh, the fajitas were juicy and oh so tasty. The hot melted cheese sauce and ground meat "sauce" on the nacho station was outstanding. We got 1/2 refried beans and 1/2 charro beans-- I love charro beans and these were some of the tastiest I have eaten in a long time. Chocked full of chopped bacon and sautéed onion bits. I highly recommend Zully's to cater your next event. Elvyn will take great care of you and your guests!!

The ambiance was top tier - which I wasn't expecting. You can tell a lot of locals dine here. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. The menu is quite extensive. I feel there's something for everyone - including children. Because my children have a LIMITED PALETTE! There was nothing appealing for my three year old. However my five year did enjoy a plate of garlic noodles with chopsticks- she is a pro at this point. Yes, they have chopstick helpers for beginners. As for the adults, I had the the Lychee martini (cold and refreshing), spicy soup, two hand rolls (tuna and yellow tail). My husband ordered the Salmon hibachi, and the miso soup (which was fantastic). I will definitely be ordering this next time. He also ordered a specialty roll - don't ask me which one. I can't remember - it was deep fried and he was happy with it. Overall we had a lovely experience here. I look forward to coming back here
