First to arrive was a large amount of fried hushpuppies to nosh on and they were enjoyed. Within 10 minutes later the meal was delivered. 4 pieces of fried catfish fillets, a bowl of mashed potatoes with gravy and a decent sized serving of fried okra. It was a lot of food! I was surprised how large the catfish pieces were and they tasted very good being nicely battered and with plenty of meat. I can see why Vernon's is famous for their fried catfish. The mashed potatoes and okra were delicious too. It was a filling meal for sure. Finally the table service was warm and friendly in a neighborly way.
