But the taste? The bacon a little off-key. The burger tells you it's frozen. The bread sings the loudest, carries the whole song. Onion rings? Nice harmony nothing unforgettable. This is a great lunch spot or stop in for a quick bite with a friend or a few family members. The interior space is on the smaller side so I wouldn't recommend dining here with large groups. Super fast cooking, we waited maybe 5 minutes for our burgers. Quick & friendly service. Loved the Mac & cheese bites! I enjoyed the Avocado bacon ranch burger - the Jalapeño sourdough bun is A MUST! (Even if you're like me and spicy isn't your thing - it's so good!) I enjoyed the tater tots (super crunchy!), my husband found the fries to be average. Overall, a really good burger and nostalgia-inducing spot. I love how they showcase/support so many local businesses on their tables and walls. I've been here before many times. It's definitely a hole in the wall. My friend ate the bacon Cheddar Ranch Burger and ate the Avocado Bacon Cheese Burger and we shared the fried zucchini. We needed something to eat after the pumpkin patch and this was the perfect place to go. It's a small local burger joint. You sit down and go up to the cashier to place your order. I got the regular burger on sourdough bread, to be honest it tasted like a regular bun and not true sourdough. The burger was good and made on a grill top. I got it all the way. I wasn't crazy about how the onions were huge chunks rather than slices or diced, but that is my opinion. The crinkle fries were good, nothing special. The Mac and cheese bites were good, super cheesy! I don't really have any real complaints. It's a nice little local burger place. read more

We love this place. We have been here several times and it only gets better as we become more friendly with the staff. This is a family run business that does a great job locally. There is not a single time when we have been in here that there aren't always several others inside, and I think they also have outside dining. Next time I go, I will confirm. Anyway, the burgers and fries are delicious, and worth every penny. The sourdough bread the burgers are served on is always fresh, soft and soaks up the grease (in a good way) to perfection. Not once have they ever messed up our orders, and we do have specific requests when we order. Mike doesnt like onions or tomatoes, and his meat has to be well done. I love onions and grilled jalapenos, and I am all for a medium burger. They hit the marks every time. As far as I can tell, they are open every day until at least 8 or later every day, and they are in a perfect location in the heart of Montgomery. Super friendly guy, he's actually only been running this location since 2017 but I've noticed every time I come here it's perfect. I love how they support other small businesses by having an area to leave business cards. They offer blue bell, and have home cooked burgers that are seriously worth the price. (Prepared in plain sight is always a plus!) the 1/4 lb patty is perfect as it doesn't over shadow the great co- stars! Regular or jalapeño sourdough grilled buns (what wouldn't taste good on that!) The menu board includes anything you could imagine between two pieces of bread. Cute little ice cream corner set up with Blue Bell favorites. One burger on lettuce, nothing except meat was on the lettuce. Had to repeat several times. Had to go back to get tomatoes, onion etc put on. The burger was so dry and not very good. Ladies bathroom needs deep cleaning. As well as the kitchen area. Says masks required most customers no masks. The register wearing gloves, handles money and was taking food out to customers. The place looked dirty. My drink cup had something nasty on it and was greasy. It's a shame that this place has gone so down hill. Ordered three Avocado Bacon Ranch burgers and two LG Onion Rings. Waited for 40 minutes, in this small and very hot restaurant, while sweating profusely. Sign on door stated "Masks Required" but only myself and one other patron were wearing them. At 40 minutes, having watched every person come and go, I inquired about my order. Was told they were making it at the moment. CLEARLY A LIE, as I stood there and watched someone whisper something to the lady on grill and saw her scrape cheese off the patties on the grill and add bacon. 10 minutes later I am handed two bags and walk out with my burgers and large onion rings. {At least they were supposed to be large orders of onion rings.}. Y'all! Four onion rings in a box does NOT make a large onion ring! What the hell!? Speaking of the Onion Rings. Imagine the taste of nothing. Yep, absolutely NO flavor! I'm not a salt person and even I know a little salt would have been a drastic improvement on what I was served. Lots of breading, with very little onion. Just odd! I have to say, I dont know where the other reviewers have been eating. This can't possibly be the same restaurant. Not one of my burgers looked even close to the burgers displayed in others photos. Not one of them! 50 minutes, and over $30 for this....Never again! Honestly! This place is not good! All three of my burgers looked like this (see photo). Patties were charred and buns burned. This place is a great mom and pops but more like a Pops and Son. They have the best burgers in the area and located in the quaint downtown Montgomery area.
