Food is all prepared fresh- in front of you if you sit at the bar like we did. The fried cheese is reminiscent of Corn Dog 7's cheese on a stick. So so yummy!! The hot dogs are all beef, and cooked perfectly. The buns are toasted and have a hint of sweetness that just works with the dogs. Buldogies never disappoints! I've had a review on Google for years, but this is my first review for Yelp. Anyways, the food is always phenomenal no matter what you order. I get the Wyatt Earp hotdog everytime I go - it's topped with their delicious caramelized bacon and Sriracha that just brings everything else together. I've tried every hot dog on their menu, and I can say that none of them will disappoint you and you will leave satisfied. Their desserts are just as good as well. Your traditional carnival eats jazzed up to the Nth degree. Trust me when I say that you will find something to eat here that will satisfy any craving you have, and you'll leave here feeling 'fat and happy ' as they say. The service is great too. While a two person crew, Jamie and Breian always do their best to make sure every customer is 1) Taken care of, and 2) Always served a meal that hot, fresh, delicious, and worthy of being called Buldogies. The food is decent but holy hell it is the worst service I have ever received in my life. The guy with the goofy goatee treated everyone who walked in like a nuisance including my family who I had brought in for their first time to eat there. He also proceeded to berate one of the male staff in front of the whole restaurant which was extremely odd. Another woman standing in line had 0 clue where to even put her ticket in to order her food, then she told him that she'd been standing there and he laughs and goes "you've been standing there???". The Reuben-covered hot dog has to be tried to be believed and the pulled pork on top of another one was as good as many barbecue restaurants. This is not your regular old hot dog joint, They use premium Hebrew National hot dogs that are cooked (not steamed) on a flat top grill. The buns are Buldogies own design being grilled on the outside and soft inside with a sweet flavor . These buns will hold up to any of the wide selection of topping you want on your hot dog. There are other items on the menu as well, I tried the BLT on my second visit. Buldogies Bacon is so good with a very tasty carmelized sweetness . I look forward to trying more of the items on thier menu. I highly recommend trying Buldogies as soon as you can for a really memorable meal. read more

This place was busy busy at 7pm on a Friday night, and the staff warned us it may be close to an hour before we'd get our food, but that wasn't enough to scare us away. Several at our table ordered the Wyatt Earp, and unfortunately they were out of that one, so our crew all opted for different choices. (Isn't the whole world out of sriracha right now?) I picked the Montgomery Texas and it was shockingly scrumptious. When reading the menu, you're wondering if the ingredients will go together, but in your mouth, that thought is drowned out by the flavor! Very impressed with the way they can dress up a hot dog and make it something worth going back for. Update to my previous review, I got a response from the owner. He basically said I was "Staring" at them which was "awkward". What ? [[HIGHLIGHT]]He blames me for seeing the filth on the floor because I came after a "lunch rush" . Nobody was in any " rush" to clean it up, apparently[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. As for the roller grill, he says they always used it. Maybe, but letting a hotdog turn into jerky and then serving it to a customer is still very poor performance. He refuses any responsibility whatsoever for any of my concerns . Typical. That's why the place is what it is. I've had that same experience with a few restaurant owners in the past. Watch "Kitchen Nightmares", 1/2 of those people are in denial as well. Raging Denial is apparently a possible side effect to owning a restaurant. If the guy responded to me even slightly apologetically , I would have revamped and changed my review score. I waited to review Buldogies until after my 2nd visit to make sure it wasn't a fluke and I'm glad to report here to the good people of Yelp that Buldogies is no fluke. So far I've tried the following dogs: the Wyatt Earp, the Jesse James, the Chicago, and the North Carolina. Of these 4, the Wyatt Earp was far and away the best combination of flavors to me -- smoky, salty, sweet, & spicy. My 2nd favorite was the Chicago dog -- classic hot dog flavors with a high end touch. The Jesse james would be my 3rd favorite of these 4, but this dog is dominated by the flavor of blue cheese. If you don't like blue cheese you should probably skip this one. The North Carolina would be my 4th favorite. It was good, but I'm a bbq snob and the pulled pork on this dog just didn't have what it took to draw me in. All in all, service was friendly and ambience has a good vibe. Each order is cooked to order, so keep that in mind in case you're tempted to think of it as fast food. I just moved to the west side of Conroe and I can see many visits in my future. Great experience that's a little confusing at first but once we figured it out by reading the signs it went fine. Atmosphere: small, so not great note to owner, if you added closed storage in the hallway instead of open shelves, the atmosphere would improve a bit. Menu: hot dog focused but lots of options and sandwiches plus plenty of carnival type sweets. Service: service was exceptional but one of the owners/cooks and he has an eye like a hawk and made sure we were all happy including when I forgot to say no relish. When he saw me scraping it off (though it was completely my error) he was very happy and adament to remake it which I refused and enjoyed my meal just fine! (Actually the relish was pretty good so maybe next time Ill leave it on, on purpuse. It would have been helpful if our greeter/order takeriner would have explained to fill out the order form or how we pay. Parking: strip mall with no issues as a few palcea aren't in business. We went on a weekend tho and the place was full but not issues parking. Value: not a cheap place as a single Chicago dog is around 9 or 10 but it did fill me up decently so its a better value then you initially realize. Note: I would say if you have littles, it's a small place and on our day we were the only family so our loud little ones seemed a bit out of place. So, you have a choice of which "type" of dog you want...Hebrew National or Nathan's. Both great dogs, but the HN is the way to go! They have varieties of dogs (many based on old West characters and characters from Tombstone). There is a dog with corned beef, cheese and kraut...so you're getting a dog and a Reuben. There is Philly cheesesteak version...the New York (with mustard, relish, onions and sauerkraut). Everything was great! The fries...the tater tots...the lemonade. Easily one of the most impressive hotdogs I've ever had! Had this place in my bookmark list for a while; finally had a chance to stop through here with a buddy for dinner yesterday. After perusing the menu a little while, the Wyatt Earp kept jumping out to me so I took a shot on it. I didn't regret that choice! On top of the perfectly cooked beef Frank sits some well seasoned and tender pork burnt ends, sauces that has a nice sweetness and mild heat to it topped off with some chives for a small added finishing crunch. They also did something rather unique, the bun was fully toasted. Being from Chicago, I've had my fair share of hotdogs in my lifetime but never had one with a toasted bun; at least not from a restaurant. It elevated the taste from just your "standard" hotdog that you can just cram down at a BBQ to a "gourmet" restaurant-level hotdog. Every bite was enjoyable! This place is totally awesome!!! The hotdogs truly are delicious as well as the desserts; you have to try the deep fried Oreos; simply delicious!!! The food is made by the owners with such precision & expertise. They take their time to make sure that each item is made just PERFECT for each customer. When we first sat down we had to do a double take and that is when we realized that the owners were doing all of cooking and carefully placing each item on the dish. The owners were gracious enough to come over and greet us as well as snap a photo. They were so kind with such gentle & humble spirits, which is rare these days. I have been wanting to try this place for a while but am never out in Montgomery on a day they are open. The wait does not disappoint. I tried the Wyatt Earp hotdog (bacon, burnt ends, chipotle Mayo, sriracha) and the Johnny Ringo corndogie (bacon, creamy peanut butter, raspberry jelly.) It sounds bizarre but it was so good!!
