This is the only place I trust to destroy old hard discs and to do the recycling safely. They are always friendly and helpful; they patiently sort through my old office electronics for the pieces they can take for free. The fees for the things they charge for are comfortably low. Great place for recycling! I take all my number six Styrofoam here instead of throwing it away. They charge a very small fee and it is worth it. You can also recycle VHS tapes here as well. read more

Have been here multiple times and it's THEE place to take your electronics and similar items to recycle. They even take styrofoam but you have to pay a very small amount for that. Certain items they take for free and other stuff they just put on a scale and charge you very little. Personal or business this is the place to go. read more

Staff here are extremely helpful and welcoming. Drive-through drop off is very convenient . A lot of stuff is free and other stuff is just a dollar/pound. They also take Styrofoam if I recall 30 gallon bag of it for five dollars hard to beat. read more

I love this place. GreenCitizen has been around forever, and I'm grateful it still is, esp. for recycling old kinds of media (like CompacTapes--remember those? yeah, me neither!). They're located just off of 101, near SFO, and decently easy to get to with your car full of media. Super friendly, too. I'll be so glad when I've digitized all my family's home videos on VHS, and when I do, I'm totally taking those tapes to GreenCitizen. read more

I dropped off a big bag of Styrofoam. They were very helpful. I'm so glad there's someone on the peninsula here that can recycle Styrofoam. It costs five dollars to recycle a big black garbage bag full of Styrofoam. read more

I had a giant haul of e-waste from clearing out our offices at work and Green Citizen took it all! I had 11 computer items that needed destruction, which they facilitated onsite so I could witness the process. I coordinated everything with Angelina Guerrero their Sr. Sustainability Account Manager's who provided me great service, and excellent communication. Thanks to her clear instructions, I was able to find their location with ease. Upon arrival I was greeted by a friendly staff member and their team helped unload my truck. Their team worked together to open all of the computers brought, located and removed the hard drives, and reassembled each device. Then Max (I may have his name wrong) walked me through the destruction process of each hard drive. He was through in his explanation and showing me proof of destruction for each device. Green Citizen will now be my go-to for any e-waste/destruction needed. Not only was their service professional but I appreciated that each person I encountered was friendly and knew what they were doing.
