It was all I could do not to gag. When I went into the kennel area, it looked clean and didn't smell as bad as the front desk area. While there needs to be an extreme make-over to the facility and some serious organization, our pets seemed fine at pick up. The price is very economical so if that is what is important to you, go for it. Our dogs are used to a nicer/cleaner environment so we will not be returning.

I was heartbroken obviously, and at a loss of what to do. With the hope of going home for the holidays, I was in serious need of someone who was willing (and most importantly, capable) to handle such responsibility while I was away (visits 2x per day and administering pill's each visit... no easy task!). I began the hunt for a trustworthy pet sitter. I found Christa from Wiggle Your Tail through a client of mine who belongs to a pet sitting Facebook group who posted about my situation, and Christa was the first to reply to the post. I met her and 3 other pet sitters, one was even from a cat-only company which I assumed would be the most qualified, but I was pleasantly surprised when Christa came over for the meet & greet. She was HANDS DOWN the most sweet and comforting to my cat, as well as the ONLY one Puff didn't run away from before they entered my home. I do have to mention she also was the most communicative/responsive out of all companies. I instantly knew she had a special love for animals, you can tell by the way she tried slowly introducing herself to Puff during her first visit. I'll make the long story short here - I was having HUGE issues administering Puff's meds for more than a week, and I was beyond frustrated. I felt pretty hopeless as he was being SUPER difficult and non-cooperative (more than the typical cat I'd say), and although we didn't nail his meds the first meet & greet, Christa came over multiple times after to try and try again. She was so sweet and understanding of our situation, and after a couple attempts and trial and error, we FINALLY got it down!!!! Puff was NEVER afraid of her, always calm when she was over, and I can't begin to tell you all how above and beyond her customer service is. I am SO INSANELY GRATEFUL for finding Christa. In the end, my heart was telling me I should stay home with my sweet boy this holiday season as it may be our last together. We were too fresh into our new routine that I just didn't feel right leaving him quite yet, so I let Christa know right away as she graciously held the holiday time slots for me until I felt comfortable to make that decision, and her response was nothing but professional and supportive. I told her I wanted to continue using her after the holidays to do drop in visits when we need a little help here and there, so we plan on having a few more visits in the new year so she and Puff can become super comfortable with each other by the time I need to leave town again. I can honestly say at this point I wouldn't trust anyone else but her to confidently take care of his medical needs while my sweet little baby is still here with us. If you made it this far, you probably are super nervous to leave your pet with anyone, but please PLEASE know that your animal will be in amazing hands while you are away. THANK YOU CHRISTA!!!! Instead of returning them in a sturdy shipping envelope or box, Christa took a piece of regular white paper and folded it and stapled it into an envelope. Regular white paper! It was not strong enough or meant to ship house keys. And I didn't receive them right away, and when I contacted Christa, she didn't respond back. I thought that was pretty unprofessional. I would recommend insisting that Christa deliver your house keys in person, if she ends up moving again.

Leaving a pet behind can be difficult, but the facility provided peace of mind from the moment of drop-off. The environment is described as a "pet's paradise". The grounds include spacious meadows and pine forest trails where dogs play and explore. LOLA appeared to enjoy the outdoor time. Beyond the facilities, the staff makes a difference especially Nick the Manager. The experienced and caring team treated LOLA like family, providing personalized attention, fun activities, and companionship. The 24/7 staff and a state-of-the-art veterinary hospital provided a sense of security if anything happened to our baby. Lola returned home happy, healthy, and relaxed, which is a testament to the care provided and happy to see her Family. Donte's Den is described as "The Best Place to be a Dog". My heart is broken! I adopted Levi from Donte's in April 23' with an $800 fee. He had been a part…read moreof a Puppy Mill rescue (so I was told) out of Miami. Levi had several health issues but we loved him all the more. We racked up thousands of dollars in Vet bills with several opinions from different vets ~ as to what was wrong with Levi. He was ultimately diagnosed with Immune-Mediated Hemolytic Anemia (IMHA) is a life-threatening autoimmune disease that occurs when a dog's immune system attacks its own red blood cells. Poor baby was just on and off again with meds, pills, potions and lotions with multiple vet visits etc. At one point, I was told by the Donte's Operations Mgr that they would take over ALL medical care for Levi. The owner, Marsha later called and told me she was not going to do this. Time and space will not permit me to list all the details of this terrible horror story! Long story short, I made a call to a staff member at Donte's who told me to bring him out there and they would examine and treat him. So, I scooped him up and headed out there. I was on the verge of a nervous breakdown, crying uncontrollably and took him out there in August. Unbeknown to me, in my total distress, weeping uncontrollably with Levi sick in my arms, I was given a piece of paper to sign that said I was "surrendering" Levi to them and could never have him back again. I had no idea that is what they had me sign. I called him every day to check on him and texted as well. I sent him all of the Vet medical records. He kept promising me that I could get Levi back but that he needed "a little more time with him to make sure he was well". I was given dates but that date never came. I have pages of text messages/emails going back and forth with them. I called there to see if I could pick Levi up and and was told that he did not work there anymore! I was in SHOCK ! I then called the owner immediately, Marcia and was told that my baby Levi had been adopted by someone. She wanted to know if "she could get us another Yorkie". Our family is devastated! I have never experienced such dishonesty and deception. They have NO COMPASSION. Our baby is GONE and we will never see him again. TODAY she posted a photo on their Facebook page of the new owner holding our baby Yorkie :( I have since found out that they have done this to others as well. They are liars and thieves. We do not know how to handle this at this time. Please do not trust these con artists there.
