I have been a client for over 2 years. I have had nothing but a great experience with Cheryl and so has my baby yorkie. My fur baby is always happy and healthy after her visit . Cheryl loves dogs !!! At every visit she asks if there is anything different I want done or if there is any new health issues. I chose her because she doesn't use the neck noose that most groomers use where the dog cannot sit without being choked. She uses a sling that is more comfortable for the dogs, especially older dogs.She uses a large play area for just my fur baby when she is done. As the owner of Paw Print Essentials, she does all the grooming there . She was tired of other groomers not preforming to her standards. I am in shock that there could be any bad reviews for PawPrint Essentials. Her own fur baby always looked beautiful . Not a hair out of place, and always happy as is mine after her visit. read more

Wow! What an obnoxious place. Must be nice to have so much business that you really don't care of the customer. We resent let moved into the area and was looking for a place to groom our dog. We inquired and they were really snotty. They had so much business and didn't need any more. I wouldn't recommend there are many other places that value the customer and business. I hope they treat the dogs better then their owners!!!!! read more

After going to Paw Print Essentials for approximately 2 years I was let go as a client. I dropped my cockapoo off for his appointment and I received my schedule for the next 9 months. When I returned 2.5 hours later, I was told they cannot groom him anymore. The reason was because he was too matted and it's too hard on him and the owner. I thoroughly brushed him before going in. His beard was matted because I couldn't get him in for 2 months, other than that, he was not matted. This is disappointing because I'm a responsible client, keep my appointments, take good care of my dog, and always leave a tip. Being let go as a client was NOT WARRANTED. read more

I took my Golden Retriever to Pawprint today and it was a horrible experience! We moved to Florida from Virginia and need to have Max groomed. I explained to the groomer to cut his bum short and trim his paws and to give him just an overall trim. Instead she shaved him to the bone. The backs of his legs are actually scalped and red as is the area around his bum. He is shaved uneven all over. My poor dog is traumatized! I think this is criminal to do this to a defenseless animal. When I called the groomer she was very defensive and said I told her to shave him. Who shaves a Golden Retriever? It's not the whole thing because it is incredibly long, and basically makes excuses for how the owner was not able to keep quality standards for their own business... and blames their employees for the issues. ;tldr The owner admits that quality of service has apparently been horrible unbeknownst to us. Blames employees. Snippet From the Owner Email ---------- ... As many of you may know, I have been a business owner for many years in several other industries. I have always believed in doing things right and that does not always equate with doing things the easiest or quickest way. Over the past several years I learned that the work ethic in this industry is severely lacking + I have grown tired of "babysitting" groomers for lack of a better word. For example: - i had no choice but to implement a weekly check of each groomer's tools to assure they were, at least, cleaned once a week. You cannot imagine how dirty + full of hair + dander their tools were. The groomers were instructed to clean their tools the last day of their work week + leave them on their grooming tables so I knew they had been cleaned. - On week two I found out that one groomer was leaving her tools on the grooming table, uncleaned, so I would think she was cleaning them. Ok, the scary thing here is that the groomers only cleaned their tools once a week + only when I did a mandatory check. - Groomers tools are their livelihood. Many times over the years groomers would use broken tools including some that made it very uncomfortable for the pets they were grooming. I provided the majority of equipment needed to groom + often purchased grooming tools for the groomers, but their personal tools should always be clean + in proper working order. - Occasionally, some pet guests may have a few mats. The groomers' response when combing them + your pet yelps in pain? Your fine! That was nothing! - You should expect that when a groomer brushes your pet's teeth that a mere 5 seconds is not sufficient! That is another issue I addressed several times with groomers. - Groomers were constantly on their cell phones to the point that I told them they could not use them while grooming + would need to go outside to take/make calls. - Talking was non-stop while grooming. How can you concentrate on grooming one of our pet guests while engaged non-stop in conversation with another groomer? - I allowed ear phones (in one ear only) so the groomers could listen to music of their choice rather than our spa music that has been a staple here since day one. Apparently, one groomer was watching + listening to movies on her cell phone while grooming. Ok... end of ear phones. Constantly changing your grooming appointments to accommodate the groomers' personal schedule. - The list goes on + on but I believe you get the picture. I have policies + procedures to assure that your pet is in a safe, clean + caring environment. Stay away from this grooming salon. They seem to have a big turnover with groomers. The last and final straw was when I picked up my pup and noticed she was limping and couldn't walk on her back legs. In addition the groomer scalped my pup down her back. Her skin was showing!! I also asked the groomer if she gave my pup a blueberry facial, which is included in their services, she replied "what's that "!! Left messages on answering machine and with receptionist for the owner to call me back about the horrible experience and she never called. I love and adore my pup and trusted them. read more

First trip to the groomers for my 2 year old Aussie. Jessica did a great job listening to what we wanted and following through. Groomed off a lot of heavy undercoat, minimal trimming, as requested and clean and shiny coat. The environment is clean, peaceful and very pleasant for the pets. BEWARE!!!!!This groomer apparently has no problem tossing aside consistent good paying customers. I have beeN taking my dog to them for over 3 years every 5 weeks. I spent good money here not only on grooming but also in their store. Even giving goodies at Christmas to all. I get a phone call this week saying my appointment in 4 days has been canceled as well as alL future appointments which I booked out for 1 year! I was told all the groomers are gone and only the owner is left after I asked, no real explanation given! Hard to believe but it is an incredibly horrible way to treat good long-standing clients especially leaving me high and dry right before an appointment and in snowbird season when no appointments are available elsewhere! I say BEWARE!!!from reviews here and elsewhere I am not the only one to be treated so badly! Same thing happened to me a cancellation call on a Sunday afternoon telling me my groomer no longer works there and that the owner was only doing her clients and I would have to find somewhere else during season! I've seen the other posts and wanted to put out there that the groomers I had Nicole and Shannon were and are the best. I would highly recommend them any time. The Paw Print was a disappointment as a grooming service! I notice my two dogs nails were not clipped! Also both dogs were constantly itching themselves after they were groomed and they were scooting on the ground (I doubted their anal glands were done) whenever they went outside! This all happened in February 2017! Upon our return to Ohio we had the dogs groomed at our groomer that we have used for years! Our groomer confirmed that their nails were not clipped! I did call Paw Print about our concerns, but did not take our dogs back to be re-groomed! They did not call us back! Paw Print has poor service and is over priced! Do not use them!!! read more

I'm not sure where the negative reviews are coming from, but we are new to Venice and have been taking our shih tzu There for a year now. We consistently have Nicole and she is amazing! After trying several others groomers for my Terriers, I'm so glad I found Pawprint Essentials! My boy looked great the first time we visited, with a traditional Scottie clip. The second time I decided I wanted more of a puppy cut, so I showed some photos to Nicole and she nailed it. When my five month old Cairn needed a bath and pedicure, Nicole did a great job and was even able to attach a bow to her forehead. We are on a regular grooming schedule. I'm not sure what the other reviewers were doing, but your pet's groomer is like your personal hair stylist: it might not be perfect the first time you go, but you have to communicate to get it right the next time. I recommend Pawprint Essentials to all my friends who have dogs - they are the best! read more
