They didn't put my call through for her birthday, so I sent the police to check on her because she is now catatonic. She cannot speak either due to with a severe head injury I am unaware of, or severe depression due to them not allowing me to see her, she went catatonic. So, in retaliation the filed a legally binding affidavit that I called the administrator and threatened to kill myself. It needs investigated because it's slander. When you write something down and it's not true, you are liable for slander. I am educated enough to know this. Well, I was cleared of insanity, or hopelessness and I am ready to do what I did threaten then with. A LAW SUIT for starving my mother to death and covering it up with nutritional drinks. When my sister brings her food, she eats the whole thing. The hospital was trying to guide me on how to help my mom and said my sister is actually abusing my mother too because she is not doing anything about it.

John and I are very impressed. His private room is very spacious with three large picture windows looking out to lovely fields and woods. It's immaculately clean. All the staff are wonderful, especially OTs and PTs. They have given John many hours of therapy with great compassion, kindness, and professionalism. He is in a lot of pain. The aides and nurses are so caring and kind to him. In his younger years, he had a band which played at Glendale often. We love that there is entertainment in the Multi-Purpose Room about twice a week, including everything from folk bands, DJs, and even an Elvis impersonator! Last week, an ice cream social was held outside with a singer and Mr. Ding-a-Ling giving out ice cream. This type of thing helps relieve boredom which can happen easily when confined to a bedroom. Also, once a week religious services are given. As devout Catholics, we appreciate mass and communion each Tuesday. The Director Todd visits every resident to make sure they are happy and asks if there is anything he could do to help them. We never saw this before in other facilities. John says the food is wonderful. I wish I could eat there every day. A menu is given a month in advance so you can select all of your meals. On Thursdays, pizza is delivered by a local pizzeria. Every place is spotless. If you have any concerns, they are addressed immediately. So I thank everyone who works at Glendale Home. You make my life and my husband's live very much better. Thank you. Mary's Meadow was recommended to her and our whole family is so grateful she had access to the care there. The staff genuinely care and are so kind, professional, knowledgable, and helpful. They go above and beyond in many ways, including giving my mom uplifting words of encouragement and helping her stay positive. Also, all the meals are hand-made and nutritious. We were all relieved my mom got the nutritional support and oversight she did while there. She regained a lot of strength from the food, which was always delicious and delivered on time. The whole place is clean and comfortable. There are doctors, nurses, and other caregiving professionals (e.g., physical therapists, nutritionists, etc.) on hand. He was treated with dignity, respect and concern, every step of the way. They listened and treated him and my family awesome. Unfortunately he is no longer with us, but the fact remains he was happy and very comfortable with his care all the way through.
