Everyone truly cares about each individual, and they tailor the regimens to each person. The daytime nursing staff - the nurses and the aides- are all caring and even though they are worn thin and always running around, they take the time to get to know you as a person. The night shift on the other hand is a different story. I'm not sure what the issues are, but trying to get someone to answer your call bell can take 30 minutes. There is always a lot of very loud conversations happening, and the aides hang out in chairs in the hallway. A few of the aides seem to be really tired from trying to accomplish tasks while others just hang out by the nurses. Overall the care is good, the therapy is awesome - however the food is almost completely inedible.

My husband John and I have experienced several rehab facilities over the years. Some so-so, some…read morevery bad. John came to Glendale for rehab in early April 2025. What a wonderful place! John and I are very impressed. His private room is very spacious with three large picture windows looking out to lovely fields and woods. It's immaculately clean. All the staff are wonderful, especially OTs and PTs. They have given John many hours of therapy with great compassion, kindness, and professionalism. He is in a lot of pain. The aides and nurses are so caring and kind to him. In his younger years, he had a band which played at Glendale often. We love that there is entertainment in the Multi-Purpose Room about twice a week, including everything from folk bands, DJs, and even an Elvis impersonator! Last week, an ice cream social was held outside with a singer and Mr. Ding-a-Ling giving out ice cream. This type of thing helps relieve boredom which can happen easily when confined to a bedroom. Also, once a week religious services are given. As devout Catholics, we appreciate mass and communion each Tuesday. The Director Todd visits every resident to make sure they are happy and asks if there is anything he could do to help them. We never saw this before in other facilities. John says the food is wonderful. I wish I could eat there every day. A menu is given a month in advance so you can select all of your meals. On Thursdays, pizza is delivered by a local pizzeria. Every place is spotless. If you have any concerns, they are addressed immediately. So I thank everyone who works at Glendale Home. You make my life and my husband's live very much better. Thank you. Mary's Meadow was recommended to her and our whole family is so grateful she had access to the care there. The staff genuinely care and are so kind, professional, knowledgable, and helpful. They go above and beyond in many ways, including giving my mom uplifting words of encouragement and helping her stay positive. Also, all the meals are hand-made and nutritious. We were all relieved my mom got the nutritional support and oversight she did while there. She regained a lot of strength from the food, which was always delicious and delivered on time. The whole place is clean and comfortable. There are doctors, nurses, and other caregiving professionals (e.g., physical therapists, nutritionists, etc.) on hand. If the facility couldn't handle the number of residents based on staffing shortages they shouldn't have been constantly admitting more. The employees were doing their best but there are only so many bells they can answer at once. It is a management issue not an employee issue. Perhaps if the working conditions improved so would the staffing.
