We recently switched to Greener Texas Pest and Lawn Services, and we couldn't be happier. Every summer, we get more than our share of roaches, spiders, and silverfish. They just seem to come in from everywhere. We have a baby at home and wanted something that would be safe to spray indoors (and outdoors) with our little crawler. Chance came out and did a thorough job spraying our home. He called ahead to let us know he was on his way, and he was very easy to talk to. He sprayed the inside, and I also observed as he did a thorough job spraying the outside of our home as well. I've learned the hard way that if both the inside and the outside are not adequately sprayed, the treatment won't be as effective or last nearly as long. Greener Texas Pest guarantees their work for up to 60 days. Although the first spray reduced our pest problem substantially, I put that guarantee to the test because we really do get more than our fair share of roaches, and they came out to spray a second time. UPDATE: We've been working with them for over 6 months and the rodents are still there. Today we hired another company- super expensive and frustrating. I'd recommend them for quarterly sprayings only; not exclusions/rodent removal. . . . Greener Texas Pest is a great company and has been spraying our house for over a year now. They're great to work with and the customer service is outstanding. I also love that their product is organic and much safer for my children and pet. Rick Wood and his staff are absolutely amazing! We have used other pest control companies, which did not really help with our scorpion problem. We would call them up to discuss it, but the attitude was one of "Oh well!" Rick is completely opposite and is dedicated to making sure the customer is happy with the service. In fact, he has come by our house to check on things, just because he was in the neighborhood. His use of organic, natural products are a huge plus for us, and the fact that they work... tells me he knows his stuff and has researched the products. We had a roof rat infestation in our attic. After many frustrating and unsuccessful months of trying to take care of the issue ourselves we called Greener Texas to help out. Joe came out, sealed entry points into the attic, and set numerous traps to catch the rats. He then came back every two or three days to check, empty, and reset the traps. As it turned out, one entry point was initially missed, but Joe immediately came out, closed that entry, and reset the traps. We are now rodent free! I highly recommend Greener Texas. We had Greener Texas, specifically David come to my mothers home today and to help her out while she was out, I stayed for his visit and explained what we have going on. Basically, she lives next to a green belt and its a great place for ants, scorpions, spiders and all those lovely pests to build their nests, lay their eggs and eat and destroy whatever they can. David was very thorough with everything, he spent a good amount of time listening to the issues she was having with pests, he took a look around, found the issue and explained in great detail what was going on and how to resolve the bug issue with their services. After a fairly good amount of time, over an hour and a half, he had gone in the attic and sprayed, the inside of the house in all the rooms, the perimeter of the outside of the home, the trees near the home, the deck, the doors, the gables of the home, under the gutters, you name it, it was sprayed. After he was done, he went over everything and stressed that to maintain a safe home, that is, no intrusion of wood eating ants like we had, its important to spray every three months. In the event that in a few weeks the ants are back or other bugs, they will honor their guarantee and spray again, no charge. The initial cost was $165 and follow up should be around $80 every few months, its a little pricey but the service and time spent is well worth it. David was very personable, he listened and was so patient with everything. I would like to see military and senior discounts, thats why I didn't give a 5 star review because I feel like they do have a higher price and should have some perks for those who serve our nation and those who live on a fixed income. I've been using this company for the last 5 years and have always been pleased with them. Rick Wood, the owner, and his son go beyond the norm. They tell me every time after our visit that if we experience any problems with scorpions, spiders etc after they have sprayed, they will come back and re-spray. I had these sugar ants in my kitchen that another pest control company just did not seem to know how to treat them. That company came out (reluctantly) several times and the ants were not deterred. I called several companies and Greener Texas sounded most knowledgeable and had specific strategy with different pest. They came that week to treat the ant as well as the whole house. I would like to recommend Greener Texas, Pest and Lawn Services. I had no problem getting an appointment for an estimate and treatment, but when Joe arrived at the agreed time, I explained I had a problem with Carpenter ants. I hated to see him have to go into my hot attic to treat the nest, but what I got was insect treatment thoroughly inside the house, attic, garage, but also all outside my house! He used three different tools to spray, did not rush through it all, and besides being a very competent, professional and really nice expert, the estimate was honored, which I never dreamed would be that reasonable! I have already spread the word to two other family members how good they are and affordable and I plan on sharing the recommendation to any friends who need such a service.
