One thing I really appreciated was that they identified a honey bee colony on my property. Instead of simply treating it, they let me know so I could have the bees safely rehomed before they started producing honey inside my walls. That level of care and attention really stood out. The quarterly exterior treatments have been well worth it for me. Wasps and ants are a recurring issue around my home, so keeping up with regular service has made a big difference. If I have a specific problem between visits, like a wasp nest, they're quick to come out and take care of it. Most of what I need is included in the annual service. Mosquito treatment is an additional charge, but that's separate from the standard plan. I also appreciate that they don't push unnecessary interior treatments when there aren't any issues. Their pricing is competitive, and their payment and scheduling system is excellent. It's easy to manage appointments, and they're very responsive by text whenever I have a question or need service. Overall, I've been very happy with Atex and would definitely recommend them.

All of the technicians have been stellar, but specifically I wanted to mention Burton - he has come to our house on multiple occasions and is always very polite, informative and thorough. Burton always goes the extra mile to check everything out around the house before he leaves, beyond the areas we've mentioned, and always chats with me on his way out to let me know what was applied, how it was applied, and any follow up steps (an engineer's dream). He even mentioned we should shoot him/Stride a text in 1-2 weeks to let him know if our attic ant issue is resolved. Thank you Burton! Stride really cares about their customers, and they do a killer job. There's a reason they are rated 5.0 stars on Google, Yelp & Facebook, and not 4.9 or lower.

After talking to a few pest companies, not only did they get the species of ants wrong (acrobat vs carpenter) which affects the bait being used, but they also can't get their story straight. I contacted them about an ant infestation inside my home. The technician who came out placed sugar bait inside to eliminate colony. He told me that an exterior treatment was not necessary at that time. I accepted that recommendation, due to potential exposure for my active dog. Months later, I called to follow up because the ant problem had not been resolved. I was then told the $216.50 treatment of simply adding sugar bait for the interior also included exterior treatment during the original visit. That was surprising because I was never told an exterior treatment had been done. When I asked where it had been applied, they did not give me a clear answer regarding the exterior. Paying for another treatment isn't the issue. If the ants require another visit, I'm happy to pay for it. My concern is that the explanation of what was actually done has changed. Now, they're saying I have to pay another $216 for their services again. Something just isn't adding up. If there's a reasonable explanation, I'd like to hear it. Based on the conflicting information, I have little confidence in their service.

Todd is amazing, I highly recommend him and his services! I would give 10 stars if I could! I have lived in a very old neighborhood in Austin ( Clarksville) for over 40 years. The first 30 years I had no problems with rodents, but for the past 10+ years, due to the density of the population, the drought and all the restaurant dumpsters in my area, the rodent issue has at least tripled. I have been plagued by rodents and wildlife from possums, raccoons and most recently rats! Rats are the absolute worst! I have had over 10 different Pest Control Companies come out over the past 10 years and try to do exclusions and eliminate my problem. I have now spent over $3000. Some have even stated that my house was "as tight as a drum" and been on their way! Todd found the rat's nest, set 10 traps in the attic, got the Alpha female and found 13 areas to screen over!!! He has come by multiple times to check on everything. I wish I had known about Todd before now. Todd is easy to contact and schedule. For me, he was always on time and dependable. I was very impressed with his kindness, integrity, fairness, and concern. He really cares and wants to help his customers. Todd Schramm is a very knowledgeable, efficient and overall nice guy. I purchased a Groupon for pest service. We had a flea problem. The Groupon did not cover that, however, the add on was reasonable. While Todd was here, I mentioned that we have rats in the attic. He did an inspection and gave me an extremely reasonable estimate to plug the holes where they were coming in and setting the traps. He has been on time to every appointment we've set and I've never had a hard time getting hold of him. I highly recommend A Killer Instinct! Very leased!!! read more

Before this recent freeze I received an email from yard doc saying they were available to help prepare our plants and outdoor equipment. They sent a handyman to the house to make sure my water softener and plants were winter ready! I even got to meet the owners who came to check on my water softener winterization. Really a stand up company with honest reliable employees. We highly recommend them.
