Everyone here is overworked and they get rid of hard working staff very easily. Everyone is replaceable apparently.

Ask the Community - Legacy Post Acute Care

How many days does Medicare pay?

I think it is two weeks, although certainly check with Medicare.

Is this facility covered by Kaiser? Or does the state cover any expenses? If not, how much is it?

They do not have a Kaiser Contract so unless Kaiser specifically approves of the admission or your loved one is on Kaiser Senior Advantage (which is a combo of Kaiser and Medicare) you would have to either have another insurance (medicare/medicaid)…

Good morning my name is Lorraine Betha and my husband's name is Jerome.we r looking for a in patient physical therapy rehab do u specialize in that and do u take VA insurance?

Unfortunately they are not contracted with VA not KAISER.

RJ is incredibly hands-on, approachable, and genuinely cares about both the residents and the staff. His leadership style is proactive and present -- you can see him involved, listening, and making meaningful improvements. Hannah consistently advocates for quality care, accountability, and a culture of compassion. Together, RJ and Hannah are building a strong, supportive environment focused on excellence and resident-centered care. The care they provide for their residents is completely unacceptable- the nurses all seem to have attitude problems and provide bare minimum care to extreme cases of tenants. I do believe if this place continues like this - there will be more corrupt personnel who will take advantage of the elderly here. EXTREME ELDERLY ABUSE! This facility has been officially reported to department of health and rent board.

I had to make several scheduling changes due to my mother's changing care needs and the care coordinators were able to accommodate. There was one time that they could not find a caregiver and did provide phone. I would say that the majority of the caregivers that they sent out were competent and my mom really liked them. The rest did not interact with my mom and just sat in the chair, saying nothing. One caregiver watched TV the entire night she stayed with my mom. I let the agency know and I asked them not to send those caregivers again. I was glad that we had access to caregivers but I think I may try to use another caregiver company if the need arises.

The MA Pam is consistently rude. I came in right when they took over and got everything squared away as a new patient and then didn't see them for 3 years and they told me anyone they haven't seen in 3 years gets removed from the system and is no longer a patient.. and I'd have to be scheduled as a new patient and they didn't have any openings for 9 -12 months for new patients. So because I'm healthy and had no issues for three years they deleted my 30 years of records from Hobert and removed me as a patient. I've heard this exact story from other Hobert patients. My parents were still with them up until recently when they told us they were no longer working with their healthcare. We called the healthcare who said that wasn't true at all and then called back to tell them they are willing to pay and if they send them the bill it will be taken care of only for them to tell us they are lying to you and rudely told us they weren't arguing about it anymore (after only 2 quick phone calls) and that they were no longer using that healthcare and we could only pay out of pocket or find a new healthcare. Each time I've talked with them on the phone I felt as if I was at the dmv. The drs seemed okay even though the one time I came in I felt like I was being rushed out the door or I was just being used as a training situation, and my father felt as if he was never listened to and almost always rushed out the door. It's a shame they took over a staple in the community only to reject that community.

I have worked for similar companies and have found that the staff, from the owner on down, seem to consistently lack the personal touch and genuine compassion that I see in the owners and care staff at AHC. AHC is a small, family owned business with the motto, "Treating Your Family as We Would Our Own" and it really it does say it all, they truly do treat each client with the utmost respect and personalized care that they would a family member. They also exceeded my expectations when it came to their home care aides. All staff are carefully screened with criminal and DMV record checks, They are also bonded and insured, but beyond that, AHC really takes the time to match a client with the perfect caregiver to meet their needs. As you walk into the office you can't miss the "Wall of Thanks" which is a collage of letters and notes sent to AHC from clients and their families. Photos and thank yous and dozens of "we don't know what we would have done without you" messages adorn the wall and it really gives me a great feeling knowing that I am working for a company that has done so much to help others and continues to do so.
