We have not had a professional experience like this ever. They are wholly untrustworthy, dishonest, evasive and very unprofessional. I had to endure several months of "mistake quotes" trying to get us to pay more, as well as numerous phone calls, ducking complaints, etc... finally in the eleventh hour we had to back out. I looked up their website and on the homepage is reads "Free Estimate" I called asking for a quote and right off the back I was told that their is a minimum charge of $500.00 . Their was no mention of coming to look at my place to view what work was required or a lighting plan. I was also told that after the first time, I am then only charged labor cost. I was told that "Josh" would call me back. Still have not heard from Josh. read more

We tried to work with Greenforce based on a neighbor's experience. They gave us a bid, which we had to spend DAYs trying to correct. They just kept trying to include things we didn't want in the bid. Finally, we got it set and arranged installation. Day of installation, the installers said they couldn't reach our roof and left. I am not sure why the person who did the bid said they COULD. So, I have some VERY disappointed kids who were looking forward to fun holiday lights. They are responsive by phone, but could not come through with what they promised. I hope now that I can get my money back from them. I will look for a more professional company next year. read more

Just wanted to update my review... almost immediately after posting it, Jaeame contacted me about fixing the stucco on the exterior of the house. It was done within a few days and they have been very good about calling to let me know when there would be a delay because of weather - and then to follow up on making sure the work was satisfactory. Greenforce did a fabulous job lighting my trees and house up!!! Very professional and at a reasonable rate You can not beat it!!! I would recommend them to anybody who wants the light up there tree or house. They also clean windows! read more

I communicated with Greenforce almost entirely by email, which is extremely convenient for me. Their response time was very quick and they gave me a quote which I found to be quite reasonable. I wanted to make a couple of changes which they did and then sent me an updated quote. They did let me know a few days prior to my install appointment that they would not install in the rain. Since rain was in the forecast, they wanted to give me the option to reschedule. I thought it was great that I was given that choice in advance. The day of the install they were running late and did not let me know until I contacted them. The install itself was slowed due to some rain that came in, but I didn't need to be home so it really did not impact me. The guys who came out to do the install were very nice and professional and took great care to be careful with areas of the house I was concerned about, like the trim around our front door. Scheduling take down was just as quick and easy and I look forward to using their service again next year! read more

Greenforce went above and beyond to donate their time and materials to help a family with a child that is terminally ill. They came to Gilroy from San Francisco and worked late into the evening to make sure everything was just right. They were responsive in their communication and very professional. We recently used Greenforce to do our exterior Christmas light decorations. The experience was nothing short of excellent and really affordable. They did everything from installing to removing the lights with amazing skill and customer relations. After they left, I felt as if Saint Nick himself had been here. Last year I signed up with greenforce to put my Christmas lights up. I called on the phone, and apparently they look up my house on Google earth and gave me an estimate right over the phone, which I thought was pretty cool. Thinking it was a bit pricy ($765.00) but not knowing what all was involved I went with it. Here is the but, after they installed the lights (which they must of used a box of staples to do) and the GFCI (which is nothing more than a GFCI with a timer and a plug outlet on one end and a plug inlet on the other and about 3' long) something I believe you can buy for less than $50.00 at Home Depot I was greatly disappointed for that amount of money to say the least. GFCI $125.00 labor to plug it in labor $85.00 40' of icicle lights 210.00 cost to staple them to my house labor $30.00 Outline with mini lights around two small windows $34.00 Labor $24.00 Line my walk way to my porch with 5 candy canes on each side $45.00 labor $12.00 But they said they had to order the candy canes, which held up the time to have my lights put up. In the end they couldn't find them so I told them to forget the candy canes. I found two sets at Home Depot of 5 candy canes each for about half the price greenforce wanted, and it took my 11 yr old and I about 10 minutes to install them. And the price to take the lights down was Labor $200.00 Total material $414.00. Labor $351.00 Wait this just gets better. After the install I found about a 1/2 box of staples dropped in my front lawn. Which I had to pay my lawn guy extra to vacuum up with his leaf blower/vacuum before he would mow the lawn. Wait this still gets better. On Feb 13 2012. I sent them an email asking for my lights to be taken down. On Feb 14 2012. They sent me an email asking for my ADDRESS. REALLY!!! Wait for it, .... Wait yes it still gets even better if you could believe it. Now my lights are down, and were done right? Noooo I had used my credit card to put the 50% down. After they took the lights down they charged my credit card the other 50%. One problem they never took off the candy canes that I never got or were installed. $57.00 worth. Since I check my credit cards weekly I caught it right away and phoned them up and told them of there mistake. Still gets better, they told me they would send me a check for the $57.00 but it would take 3 or 4 weeks. By this time im fed up so I just said ok. Still gets better. On March 15 2012 I had to send them this email. Here is a copy of the letter and your bounced check. Please send me a GOOD check for the amount of $79.00 as the bank charged me $12.00 for having to return the check to me. This yr I asked for them to return my lights, cords, GFCI. What I got back was two small bundels of lights, some broken or missing, one bundel lit up the other did not. One string had black wires, one had green. Last yr all my lights had white wires. My GFCI I got back was a GE model #15102. Its a cheap timer not even a GFCI, I looked it up, it costs $16.00 and its not what I had last yr. One 12' extenion cord and a 3 outlet power strip 1' long never been used still in the box. A Home Depot bag with about 100 or so plastic clips that don't go to anything I have and were never used on my house last yr, As I still have staples sticking out of my house when they removed my lights from last yr. The only thing that came back that is working is the icicles with white cord for outlinging my roof. read more

We used Greenforce Outdoor Light and definitely will use them again this year. Communicating is very easy--we got connected with a sales person quickly and worked out how we wanted to decorate. Costs were very clear on the proposal. The team who came to put up the lights came despite the rain and did a very nice job. Then with an appointment, they came down to take down the lights and we didn't need to be here. And they store them until next year. So easy! and saved us so much time You can always make changes the following year as well. You only pay for labor in the subsequent years. I do wish the price increase on the labor from last year to this year was less, but that is my only suggestion. read more
