He's great with communication, and his estimate was right on point. I had some drainage work done at my house which trashed my entire irrigation system, so I needed to have it replaced, both in the front and back yard. The McKay crew did a bang up job of it. They came in on time and on budget. They had the whole system laid out and running within about two days. Then Sherman spent some time with me to make sure I knew how to operate the controllers. In fact, they do more than irrigation, and I will likely have them come back and put in some new plants and do some other work in my backyard. They did such a good job with the irrigation system that I have high confidence they will make quick work of the other jobs too. I strongly recommend them.

He didn't charge me for his time, but did give me a quote to install a professional system as well as expand coverage to the entire back yard. His quote was reasonable / competitive, and I was lucky to get quickly scheduled. He and his crew came out and in a couple days were able to install a brand new Hunter system with sprayers and multiple drip lines. Despite having to trench through my yard, when they were done it looked as good as new. They took special care around existing landscaping and did not damage anything during the installation process. It's been a few months now, and the system is working great. Grass is green and plants are blooming. Sherman is easy to work with and super responsive. I'm extremely happy with the outcome and I'm sure you will be too.

Ricardo was the one of the store managers, I think, and was always helpful and funny and just an overall fun guy to see whenever I made trips to Watersavers. He will be missed. I am a DIY weekend warrior. Yet when I come here I am still treated with respect and the staff here are always very friendly and eager to lend a helping hand when I have questions. They have a great selection of anything you will need for your drip irrigation project. Not only do they have a better selection than places like Ace Hardware or Home Depot, the prices here are competitive as well. Highly recommended.

I called Brad and he was able to see me right away. He and his assistant spent hours repairing and replacing sprayers all the while telling me it wasn't as bad as I thought. In the end he even reset my timer box so that all the stations would fire on the right days at the right time. He charged me $390.00 for the visit plus an additional $65.00 for parts. The appointment came and went, and he never showed up and never called. What a waste of time. EDIT: He says I didn't confirm the appointment, yet I have the texts proving otherwise. He texted me at 5:24 the day before to confirm. I responded at 5:32, 8 minutes later, confirming. Yet somehow it's my fault that he doesn't know how to use his phone? In one day's work, they removed a non-functional line, replaced it with a new one, installed a pressure regulator, fixed several leaks, and extended irrigation to reach a couple new plants. It's spring of 2020 in the middle of a pandemic. Our 28 year old drip irrigation system has baked…read morein the sun over the years & been patched multiple times. Our big water bill clues us in that we have a leak. Although we're finally allowed to have outdoor gardening services again, of course everyone is swamped and few are specialized in repairing irrigation systems. The irrigation supply store Watersavers in San Rafael recommended David Melendez of Marin Landscape Service so we gave him a call. What a great recommendation! I can't say enough about how professional, courteous, knowledgeable and supportive David is. Unlike a competing irrigation professional I talked with in Fairfax, he came out without charging a fee to assess the problem and then scheduled a prompt follow-on visit to repair the system. Our controller was shot and we needed a replacement controller of approximately the same size that could be placed in the same location. David listened to our needs and found a programmable controller with more capabilities than the one we had that allows me to control the irrigation with an app on my phone. I love not having to go out to the controller and sit on the ground to have to change the settings. Even better, our irrigation controller is now updated to a more water saving technology that adjusts the watering automatically by taking into account the local weather, including higher or lower temperatures and rain in the forecast. In addition to replacing our ancient controller, David repaired 2 of our valves that also had problems and patiently stepped through how to program the controller while I filmed his lesson on my phone. He also recommended how long to water during the current season. You can't go wrong with David Melendez at Marin Landscape Service for your irrigation system repairs.
