We stopped in last night for the fish fry. Somewhat busy but we were able to be seated without a wait. We were camping nearby and found this place on yelp. Overall it was a great experience. Food was cooked well, came in large portions and at very reasonable prices. We got a combo basket as the starter and it came with so much food! We had the curds, tenders and jalapeño poppers. All of it was great but I just couldn't get over how much food was there! Also, great bloody Mary's and my spotted cow was only $2.50 regular price. As for the fish fry, you have the option of perch or haddock and your regular sides. I had the haddock and it was lightly breaded, not greasy at all and while nothing spectacular, it was good and satisfied my fish fry craving. I don't eat tarter but I heard from others in my group that it was kind of weird. Lastly, we had absolutely wonderful service. Our waitress quickly picked up our indecision and offered suggestions and was just very friendly and likeable. Also saw her talking to other tables with kids and she was so sweet and friendly. Best pizza in the area! We make an effort to try pizza at many recommended restaurants and find this to be outstanding.

Food is very good; pizza can be had as regular or gluten-free. Very good service and Northwoods atmosphere. Always enjoy ourselves.

Had the Shrimp Tacos last night, awesome! I don't like hot spicy foods (if you need to drink water or something with every bite, what's the point) these had just the slightest bit of spicy heat to them. So good. Cocktails are good and consistent, friendly atmosphere, if you don't know someone or met and talk with someone new that's on you. We enjoy The Log Cabin, and recommend. If you're hungry and want to eat right away, make a reservation or go early. They get very busy (especially in the summer and snowmobiling season). We tend to eat later on the weekends so we usually don't have a problem being seated right away. If you go, I hope you enjoy as much as we usually do. read more

I have had a cabin right down the road from log cabin for the past 4 years. We loved the log cabin when we originally bought our cabin. We love Dave, he's always been good to us. However I believe her name is Mel who I believe is the bar manager, had a stroke when I took a bar stool that my my family was sitting at for our high top tables right the behind the bar. Granted we only called to request tables if the entire bar is full we needed two two tables, they said they would reserve two tables if they were busy and they said that was no problem to reserve two tables. We showed up with the rest of our group realized that they weren't busy & used the bar tables instead of the two we reserved like I mentioned. I got yelled at for grabbing 2 bar stools that we were using so we could sit at bar tables instead of normal dining tables because they weren't full. I have worked in the bar industry for 4 years... If it was busy I would have left the stools at the bar, it wasn't. I got yelled at for needing 2 extra bar stools at the table because "we don't make the rules you can't take those " I love the north woods, but the way in this was handled which was heated and not nice in a bar that did not need bar stools when you have 13 people who want to be here at a table was rude. I haven't gone to log cabin in almost two years & for a good reason. Rude as af even if they don't make the rules, no one was there. She did not offer an alternate seating option or be in the least bit accommodating. The bar has and will always be half full because of the rude staff. The service to get on the list was bad. They said it was a 2 hour wait. When we came back they said they gave out spot away we put ourselves back on the list only to be told they wouldn't see us because of a comment they thought we said very unprofessional. Do not go here if you want good service and food go to buck shots, they don't care about you only the money they make and think they are entitled not to serve you if they don't like you. It's sad bad business like this exist so not support this business or owners you can get way better service and food elsewhere read more

You come for the location on the trail and stay for the warmth and free flowing drinks. It's hard to find consistent service but whenever it's in freezing temps you tend to love the $.49 wings on Monday and the ability to warm yourself before getting back on the snowmobile. Definitely a great stop on the Bo Bohen Trail! read more

So went back in after almost 3 years to see if the pizza has changed. It is terrible. No flavor what so ever. took one to go and they even charge extra 1.25 for a box to put the pizza in. The owner walks around doing nothing. He should be checking the quality of the pizza they are sending out. Wont be going back there anymore. read more

We stopped for breakfast while snowmobiling. I had an of eggs with hashbrowns. The hashbrowns were great, very crispy and brown - just how I like them. The egg had a little off flavor and I didn't finish it, like maybe soap - not sure what it was. In addition, it was freezing in there. Our waitress was very friendly and the service was great. We stopped in for food and the bar room was very loud. There were three tv's playing and the radio blasting over them. Less than 20 customers there at the time so, not busy. We had been here many times before for the pizza and it was always so much better! We ordered their "special" pizza, but, out came a plain cheese pizza. We were asked if the plain cheese pizza would be "ok". Really? I couldn't even believe she asked! No, if that's what we had wanted we would have ordered it in the first place! So, we waited for an additional 25 minutes for the one we ordered. Our pizza tasted good but had very few toppings.....looked NOTHING like the photo pictured. So disappointed .... Came here the other night with family and I live all the way in Florida. Had terrible service from Brianna the bartender and waitress Pazia . Called my fiancé and hoe and Brianna said "if they don't like the food tell them not to eat it" after me and my fiancé both found hair in our food. Waited 30 minutes because Pazia said she was coming back to offer us a full refund and never came back. My whole family had to go up to the bar where Pazia and Brianna started arguing. It's really hard to find a bad place up north. This place is our go to for Friday fish fry and we also always share a pizza for an appetizer. The service is always friendly. It is a little crowded here on Friday so be prepared to wait. The pizza here is outstanding. Very doughy. Fish fry is great and I love the potato pancakes. Pizza is good, but not what it used to be, service can be good but a toss up at best. Last time we stopped in on the 4th of July weekend and our order was all screwed up, food came out missing stuff, salad came out after the pizza was nearly gone along with a friends burger, waitress was not interested for sure, place was not busy either, actually on the late side for dinner but we were on the road all day and within serving hours easily. I still stop in with friends either on the bike or on snowmobile for a snack or pizza but I think there are better options for sure. read more

If you want traditional Wisconsin Friday Fish Fry this is the place! My wife and I have been coming here to the best kept secret in the area for years and consistently get a great meal. The atmosphere is genuine North Woods and the staff is friendly, but the Fried Perch dinner keeps us coming back time after time. The menu has enough choices to keep everyone happy, but the pizza is outstanding as well. Yes, you might have to wait 20-35 minutes for a table in the summer on a Friday night, but it is well worth the wait. Large portions, cold beer and everything seasoned just right...and they swipe your card right at the table with an iPad. read more

Had a great GARLIC STEAK SANDWICH, FRIDAY FISH FRY AND PIZZA!! We eat here regularly and it is one of the best, reasonably priced places around. Get here early because it fills up fast! The wait staff is always friendly and efficient and the bar staff the same. This is a place where you feel people connect on a regular basis and know each of the staff. The Garlic Steak Sandwich came with grilled onions and mushrooms and a choice of potato, salad or fried onions.. The steak was cooked perfectly at my request for medium rare and came on a giant ciabatta bun. It was so tender I could cut it with my fork. The pizza is CHICAGO DEEP DISH style, LOADED with ingredients and cheese. Delicious! Prepare to be hungry! The Friday Fish Fry was moist, lightly battered, haddock, four pieces, with a choice of potato (get the homemade potato pancakes, they are great!). It is all you can eat of the fish! We've been going here for breakfast for about 2 years now, usually about every other weekend. The food is always great, but with the service we had the last time we were there, we will never be going back. Our waitress was rude and disrespectful, so we left her a tip that reflected that. Our group was standing outside when we were done, and she walked out, handed us our tip back and told us that we didn't tip her enough. Our visit was a scandalous experience! My wife had her own order of fries while I had an order of fish. She wanted to try the fish so I gave her a piece off my plate and was charged an extra $2.00 for this. $2.00 for this!!! I won't mention the pieces of fish were incredibly meager and wimpy. When discussed with the owner, he agreed this was correct. This was a 'plate fee.' The customer is WRONG here. To make matters worse they don't serve beer from the local brewery - Tribute.
