After being a customer for 10+ years they have lost my endorsement. We recently had NW come out to our new house and after the service they provided an invoice. Standard and not uncommon to require payment for services rendered. However, they demanded full annual payment on the spot as "new policy" vs 3/4x payments per year we had in place for 10 years. Nowhere on the contract, invoice or during multiple correspondences to setup the service was this "new policy" referenced. They intimidated my wife and shook her down. After reaching out twice to get a response on why this policy was not mentioned, they went silent. I recommend going with another pest control company. read more

I was using NW Pest Control for rats in the yard. They came out and we agreed to go with multiple bait boxes around the house. They came out and placed the boxes and come back every 3 months to refill them. I was waiting for them to come back late spring, but never saw them. I couldn't log into their site anymore so I called them to see when they would be coming back. I was told that I had emailed them earlier this year to cancel my service. I hadn't emailed to cancel though and told them that. They told me that they would look into it and call me back. After 2 days went by and they didn't call me back, I called them. They told me they would be willing to come back out, but would need to put new boxes around my house and I would now have to pay $600 up front for the year. There was no room for discussion. I turned down that amazing offer and now use a different company. I wouldn't recommend using NW Pest control. read more

One of the receptionists I unfortunately had to deal with was beyond rude and completely unwilling to help. When someone in a customer service position responds with: "I'm not really sure what you want me to do for you" Id say that's a clear sign that some major training needs to take place. When I called back to speak to someone different they were able to instantly help and send me the documents I was looking for... Shocking! Aside from that one customer service representative (unfortunately didn't catch her name) everyone else was pleasant to deal with. Hopefully management can correct this for other future clients experiences with this woman. read more

Our condo has been using NW Pest Control for many years. However, they have NO passion and NO intention to help us to deal with the rat issue. They continuously reported no activities from the bait station. The reality is that they have not replaced the baits for a long time. Per the town's audit, plenty of baits are moldy inside the bait station. Rats won't eat those moldy baits for sure. They just told us this is a townwide issue, and there is no way to fix it. For sure, with moldy baits, the rats will not touch those baits. This issue will stay forever. NW Pest Control has no passion and no intention to resolve the rat issue. The way they handle it will keep the rat problem forever, and they can make a profit from the continuous public health issue. read more

I requested quotes for Wasp removal on Yelp and John provided the best price and due to the great reviews I'm glad I went with him. He was very responsive in setting up an appointment. The technician, Chris, arrived on time and explained what he would be doing. He also answered all the questions I had about wasps and shared some stories of dealing with them over the years. I was very pleased that he came into the house to tape up the openings in the window frames where the wasps could enter after the treatment. When I had this done many years ago, the technician did not do this and we got quite a few inside. Definitely will recommend NW Pest Control and will call them if needed in the future. read more

I've been blessed to have H.L. as a friend since high school & we always reach out to eachother about animal issues! Well, two days ago she reached out to me about a Pest Company that came to Everett - NW PEST COMPANY out of Waltham, MA (781-891-5313) that placed two unsecured traps on top of a house - yes, ON TOP OF A HOUSE to trap wildlife that were in their natural habitat. They caught squirrels that were left for OVER 24 HOURS baking in the hot sun - without even coming back an additional time to check on these animals. They were going crazy in these traps & CRYING - to be expected considering they were left for over 24 HOURS! We both called the company (morning & night) & they stated they only come back 1X a day to check! I honestly cannot believe these animals didn't die in these traps in the hot sun!! Heather & I both contacted SH & she was right on it!! MSPCA & Mass Wildlife were also notified! S was able to come in the morning & the guy that worked for this company belittled her - laughing at her as he took the trap out of her hand after it fell off the roof (because it wasn't properly secured) & snickered when he said he was euthanizing them & how he refused to tell her how they were going to be killed. She requested they be released & he refused!! They were trapped outside!! God only knows if this animal was injured. He kept saying he was a licensed PAC (problem animal control) agent for the state & he would do what he wants. (His license needs to be reviewed) I urge my friends to please reach out to Mass Wildlife in regards to this & ask them why he refused to release them when ordered to do so by the ACO! They were not trapped inside of a house! (stated he worked for the state) It is unacceptable! (781 682 4878) I don't care if it's a dog or a squirrel- inhumane treatment is absolutely unacceptable & cannot happen! Again, these animals were left baking in the hot sun for over 24 hours, trapped in their natural habitat (on a roof- OUTSIDE in traps not properly secured, the company refused to release them when demanded to do so & God only knows how they were euthanized.) Euthanize means to kill an animal - to put it out of its misery, not a healthy animal that's just flat out murder. The Everett Police ACO is investigating the matter & again, I urge my friends to call Mass Wildlife to investigate the company as well. I have friends that run pest control companies & would never do this!! Such a disgrace how this company operates!! If this post reaches one person then I've succeeded in what I am trying to achieve! Reached out NW Pest control via yelp for a Raccoon Problem and was contacted by Brad immediately who understood my situation and provided me with the best available options at the lowest price. Within 24 hours my Raccoon situation had adjusted. We were able to lock the mother out and now only had the issue of the babies. We contacted Brad the next day with the updated information, and to my surprise, Brad actually provided us with a solution that cost us ZERO DOLLARS! While I can't comment on NW Pest Control as a business, I am forced to review one of their employees. Knowing Keith Parrish from a business networking group and speaking with others about his abilities as an exterminator, I asked him to handle a mouse problem at my office. The first visit went well as he showed up and apparently plugged holes that he thought were where they might be coming in and maybe set some traps although I can't be sure. Unfortunately, that is where any service ended. I tried on multiple occasions via text and phone calls to schedule follow-ups and all were ignored. When he did answer his phone he told me that he was unable to talk but would call me back. Not one call or text was ever returned until he finally spoke to me and assured me that he would be at my office on a certain day. Sadly, he never showed and again did not return any calls or texts. I'm sad that I have to write this awful review especially when I know the person in question. Complete lack of courtesy and professionalism was shown by this employee and I hope it is not reflective of the company itself. read more

We had a large hornet's nest in our yard, and from the moment I called NW to ask if they could potentially reach something twenty feet off the ground to when Patrick, our tech came over, everyone at NW was incredibly friendly and helpful. Patrick climbed our neighbor's garage roof and used an extension pole to get rid of the nest, it was very tricky, and definitely a precarious position, but he did an amazing job. Super friendly, professional, cleaned up the remains of the nest and was kind enough to explain to our neighbors everything he was doing as he did it. I hired this company to spray a six family house for roaches. They told me it would be $150.00 four times a year on a quarterly plan. After the second treatment they told me I used up the plan and it was only for thee apts. Ridiculous...That's not what my contract read. We have quarterly pest control service from NW Pest Control in our 2-unit condo in Cambridge. The condo association has had service with them since before we bought our unit 2 years ago. I plan to cancel their service going forward after today's experience with them. NW Pest Control charges us $360 per year ($90 per quarter) for basically visiting our house for 10 minutes and re-baiting 4 rat-bait boxes. We have caught more rats with our own traps, and NW Pest Control's boxes have had no perceivable effect on addressing the recurring pest issue we have had in our backyard -- despite a spotless clean driveway and covered trash bins. Over the last few years we have been having an issue with rats burrowing tunnels underneath our (asphalt) backyard. There are three holes in our backyard---the entry/exit points of the rat burrows---which keep re-appearing repeatedly after sealing off the holes with fresh hot asphalt. Our asphalt contractor Oceanside Paving, has graciously come out and refilled new asphalt into those holes thrice, but clearly this is a pest issue that is beyond just repacking asphalt. I had an appointment for NW Pest to come out today (Saturday, 9/19) between 10-2, and was supposed to call me 30 minutes before arriving. I got no phone call, but the guy did arrive at 2:10. He was very angry from the moment he showed up since he was having trouble finding a parking spot. When he came in, and looked at the holes, he said, "okay, what do you want me to do? fill asphalt in these for you?" I said, "you are the pest expert; you should tell me what is the solution here". He said, "I cannot do anything!". I said, "okay, let us then cancel our contract with NW Pest Control, since you don't have a solution for a pest issue". He angrily walked away, saying, "ok fine just call the company, f*** you". Then suddenly he came back with his phone and said, "I need to take a few pictures to send to my management". I didn't let him come back into my driveway, and asked him to leave. Don't hire these guys. read more
