There is a giant rock wall on one side, and most of the path is dirt. It's very cool with the canopy of trees overhead. The only downside is the runners and bikers; otherwise, it's a nice walk. There is a parking lot with a bathroom beside it, and the two paths are labeled. Maybe next time we will take the other loop.

It is just another addition to the 28 mile, or so, loop around Lake Georgetown. I like to park at Overlook Park and walk over here. Lots of beautiful scenery with Blue Hole, that famous hole that never dries up, just a mile or so from San Gabriel Park. Booty's is home to the John Ischy Archeological Site which is protected by the North Rim of the San Gabriel, which I've yet to find. Also home to Booty's is the Georgetown Challenge Course. Along the trail from Booty's to San Gabriel Park are a couple of cool spots for bird watching and star gazing, and, of course the challenge course. Lots of the trail is lighted and offers three different surface areas like concrete, crushed granite, and, asphalt. It's beautiful and peaceful. Please help keep it that way. This park is isolated with only one way in by vehicle, but, several options by foot. Whether or not you do the full 28 miles around the lake, you will enjoy yourself here. Not only can you get your exercise on, but, this is a beautiful place to just come and veg out, read a book, or have a picnic. There is also a large covered pavilion that would be great for large gatherings. Booty's is good for the entire family, and, of course dogs. Please scoop your poop.

Those are narrow and the grass is high in those sections so keep that in mind. There are some nice canopy areas with trees that go over the path providing shade. This seems like a park you'd go early in the morning to walk. Parking was scarce. We found a tiny lot near the entrance so be aware. The river is nice and you're sure to see some turtles and birds here.

I sought this place out because it has a number of nice hiking trails. There's even a look trail that will let you go close to five miles without having to turn back. While it looks like the trail dead ends at a fence, if you continue climbing the hill you'll see that the trail continues on to the left about halfway up. Tip: The loop trail is actually a figure eight; not only that but the scenery is very pleasant; there's even cliffs and a small cave :-) The trails here go through an Austin City Park, but the land is actually owned by an HOA so please be respectful and take your trash and dog poop out with you leave.

The neighborhood mailboxes just happen to sit directly in front of this park. The park itself is surrounded on three sides with a nicely constructed wooden fence. When we asked to purchase a park pass she directed us to park and enter the office. We parked and met with another kind employee who explained that a park pass would allow us entry to various other WILCO parks - but NOT Garey Park! So don't ask. Haha The pass will also get you certain discounts at other WILCO parks. After paying for our pass we went ahead and ventured to the first trail we could find. I will say this is a beautiful area! Nice, clean, and a fairly easy walk. Don't forget you water though. We ran into an older woman who was walking with a friend - they didn't have enough water. There are plenty of trails to walk but I will say the maps are not the best. If the park would add a teeny little sticker that said "you are here" it would be a load of help. Also, some of the markers are a little confusing. The park did add QR codes to scan so that you could pull a map up on your phone but it takes some time considering it doesn't pin your location. All in all, excited to come back to see what else the park has in store for us. It has great potential. Just need to see more of it. (And fix the maps!... might just be a 'me' problem though.)

Inside the park is a huge parking lot making it great for housing Hutto residents for big events like Fourth of July, but there's also a large pond (or two large ponds) which are usually well stocked with fish, an amphitheater that is used for park events though sadly Brushy Creek Amphitheater is not currently booking events, and plenty of other space for roaming. The gazebo area is very nice and gives you beautiful access to Brushy Creek itself. There's not much pathways for running though, so I don't recommend this place for working out I do think this place will become less populated once Fritz Park is completed as that park is going to be fantastic, but until then, this is a great spot for Hutto. RIYL: A big ol' park.

This park is tucked into a quiet neighborhood just a few blocks from Anderson Mill Road. It has two…read moreentry points, the main one being on Gholson Road and the other at the intersection of Zeppelin Dr and Rambler Valley Dr. In between these two points, you'll find covered picnic tables, but no grills and a fountain. There's also a children's play scape and some exercise equipment next to it. There's no sign on the property denoting this as a public or private park. There is a nice wide paved trail that winds around the park, which is about 3 acres in size. Lots of cedar and Live Oak trees throughout the property. Street parking only. Informative photos included.
