The Frame & Eye Care Center took good care of me when I recently came in for an eye exam. The store…read moreis small, but they surprisingly had a large selection of eyeglass frames to choose from. The waiting area is not much of a waiting area, more like four chairs up against the wall in the main room. The doctor was running about 20 minutes late for my appointment so I took a seat and waited. Unfortunately, there is absolutely no service at all so bring a book or a magazine to pass the time. The eye doctor was thorough and knowledgable, taking a complete medical history of myself and also family members. My prescription changed slightly and he emphasized that even though the prescription needed was slightly stronger, it was going to make a huge difference for me. I took his word for it mostly because it was the time of year where I was due for a new set of glasses anyway. After the appointmentI went to the front desk where a woman assisted me in picking out a new pair. She asked me what I liked in a frame. I showed her my current frames and told her something like those but maybe something a little bigger, more of a statement. I sat back and this woman did all the work. She went around the store and picked up frame after frame after frame, handed them to me and then gave me her opinion for each and every one. I did not feel rushed, it was so nice having someone who knows what they're doing assist you with this process. We narrowed about 30 different frames down to three and I couldn't decide. After 20 minutes or so of putting on pair after pair after pair I was still indecisive and the lady told me to take all three pairs home, wear them around for the next day or two and then make a decision. I couldn't believe she was letting me do that! I took all three home, did exactly what she said and finally made a decision. This was so helpful. Turns out I went out of town and completely forgot to return the frames and the lady called and left a voicemail, kindly asking me to bring them back. OOPS. Don't take advantage of the nice gesture like I did! Anyways, once I decided on frames, I called and let her know, she put the order in and said they would be ready in about 4 days. The lenses came out great but the frames were lose around my ears and needed to be tightened. Perhaps I wasn't measured properly when I came in but I think all they need is some adjustment. Very satisfied with the overall experience for the most part!

This is a very professionally run store from the Angelica who also keeps the office very hygienic and cleans everything for Dr Corrine Blum. Dr Blum does a comprehensive eye exam and told me my eyeglass prescription is way too strong for me. She's great at explaining everything step by step. I forgot to take pix of my eyeballs so I'm going back on Thursday.

Last Saturday, my daughter went for Eye exam at Huntington Station. Good part: Vision test is taken…read morecare well. My daughter has two insurances, and she provided the details of both, online, prior to her vision test. Bad part: Billing department failed to apply proper insurance (ex. Eye exam is free with $0 copay, but they applied $39; CL Fitting co-pay is $40, but they charged her $126); They failed to inform my daughter about the insurance coverage or the cop-pays at any stage and did unnecessary exams (ex. Retinal exam). At the end of the visit, she was charged almost couple of hundreds dollars extra. I went in person, and submitted insurance details again. They promised they will contact me and adjust the billing; No call even after 5 days and when I reached out to them, I was told that they have already billed insurance (for the insurance part) hence they can reverse or adjust our billing. Trying to exploit both the insurance as well as the patient.

I can't say enough positive about OCLI, and whike I'm not done with my care.... I did want to post…read moremy thoughts. My eyesight had deteriorated after leaving the hospital, and went to Pearl for a long overdue exam. The Dr immediately said there was a bigger issue than he could handle and referred me to OCLI. While waiting for my appointment in Massapequa, I woke up largely blind in my right eye with long black strands over my field of vision. We called, and they were kind enough to move up our appointment... but in Huntington. Lots of tests and looking and meeting DR Bloom and Dr Brennan. I had bad cataracts on both eyes.... very bad in right along with what appeared to be some bleeding. To make a long story shorter..... Dr Bloom did both eyes, with the left being better IMMEDIATELY.... and ending up with 20/30 vision! The right did have some bleeding, but thankfully no retna issue.... just blood. DR Brennan tried several shots to clear it up, but surgery is necessary. We'll do that 11/19, From both doctors to everyone at the office, I've felt cared for and lucky to have found OCLI!

I am sick over this she spent the day in the ER, and the doctors there TOLD HER THE DOCTOR MAJORLY FUMBLED THE BAG HERE MISSING KEY SIGNS AND ADVISED US TO NEVER TO RETURN!!!!!!!! I will never return and I will make it my mission that everyone I know that comes here never returns my poor grandmother. His license should be revoked !!!!!!

Minimal wait time, comprehensive exam from Dr. Viviani with the latest equipment, and beautiful, well made strong frames and lenses. My children and I have also had several emergencies, through the years, and Dr. Viviani fit us into her busy schedule. True professionals from the receptionist, optician and doctor. I would not trust my eyes to anyone else!

While there they had Donna Karen frames at 50 off and the light bulb in my daft head went off and said, duh woman ya need two pairs. Once again, so great. Just picked up my funky glasses black frame but the inside is orange and I'm so glad! I can switch em out according to my outfit and mood. I picked up…read moremy glasses in February and left for Florida two days later. while in Florida I found the glasses to be heavy and too large but wouldn't be back in NY in the 30 day exchange period. I called and spoke to Christal, the manager, who agreed to replace them when I returned. I was able to replace them for glasses that I love and got them the same day! Excellent customer service!
