I've had this place bookmarked for a while. I had their porter at spuntino tapas in Garden City great place by the way but anyway the beer was delicious! I asked where it was from and was told Greenport at this point I really wanted to make my way here. Friday morning Jay. O asked me what brewery did I say I wanted to go to I said Greenport. It's about 1.5 hrs away from us but we decided to go. We also decided to stop at the Riverhead tanger outlets to make a day out of it. After a expensive stop at Movado and a few other stores off we went to Greenport. We got there around 5:30 and I thought the place was closed! I was so disappointed and was ready to give them a call. We got out of the car and we then saw the crowd of people. This place is so spacious! My regret was not coming sooner! It would've been better on a nice fall day on Friday it was freezing!! We started off with a flight $13 dollars. They hold your credit card until you return the flight whale holder. We were told people kept taking them! So no problem hold the card. The beers were delicious! After I choose their porter as my fav and had a glass. We decided to try out the food as well. There's a restaurant section. We had their fried pickles and brisket tacos. Fried pickles delicious! Just wish it came with more than 3 pieces, The sauce for it was delicious! I was a little apprehensive about ordering the brisket tacos but Jay O. was interested in trying them. This dish was disappointing. The tortilla was very cold it lacked a lot of flavor but surprisingly the brisket was okay better than I expected. I can't wait to come back to this place and it's also very dog friendly! read more

Came here with my boy last Saturday, we were both off for once on a weekend and decided to go for a brewery trip. One thing that caught my eye was their gigantic yard on the side, beautiful lawn with some extracurricular activities one might one to indulge in. I was a tad hungry, ordered their chicken tenders, which was surprisingly good but I'll be quite frank, it was too over priced for 3 pieces of tenders. I did enjoy the sauce it was paired with, I don't know what it was but it look homemade. Me and my bud tried out most of their brews and I gotta say, they weren't too bad. I personally liked their Mango Shandy (I think that's what it was called, drank too many to remember haha). All in all, I had a great time here, it was worth the 1.5 hour trip getting here. We have a such a good time every time we stop here. The beer tastings are always great and filled with a variety of choices. Not to mention that my favorite beer of all time is Greenport's Leaf Pile.. In addition, the food pairs well with ravenous patrons hoping to soak up some of the alcohol of the day. My personal favorite is the large pretzel with the two dipping sauces. We've played cornhole out front and had an absolutely blast. We usually make it a point to stop here when we're out east. read more

The ambiance is fantastic! The band was amazing and brought our group in to celebrate a birthday. The food truck was good but over priced. The biggest turn off by far unfortunately was the customer service. When entering we had to dump our water bottles or chug them before we entered the premiss. Even on a hot summers day you would think they would welcome people hydrating while drinking alcohol. Then a $5 cover? REALLY!!?? The cherry on top was when we were told we could bring a birthday cake in for our friend AFTER Barbara the cookie lady was finished selling her cookies and after the band stopped playing, and then the manager reneged on the promise! We all left and had to cut the cake and eat it in the parking lot. Not worth the drive to be nickeled and dined then, underhanded by the manager. We will see the band elsewhere. read more

What a great stop on our wine trail tour! I am more into beers than wine so this place was a welcome stop. The brewery has mostly good beers and I was able to try many of them amongst beer flights and samples. The group favorite on tap was the Tiki Paradise which was a Berliner with lots of pineapples that almost had a piña colada vibe. Some of the IPAs were nice as well. The best beer we had from Greenport was actually the Boysenberry Table Fork which was a Saison they were selling in bottles. Absolutely delicious- wish I had bought more to take home. They have a decent selection of cans and bottles to take home. The brewery has an extensive food menu including daily specials. We tried the cheesesteak and really enjoyed it. One of the best parts of the brewery is the outdoor space. Many lawn chairs, a tent to stay shaded and some lawn games allow for hours of enjoyment and entertainment if you are inclined. Cool place to hang out on a hot day or night and enjoy some beers and good food. We ordered the fish tacos, calamari and pretzel. The pretzel was huge and came with a cheesy dip and mustard. Fish tacos were a bit small on the fish end but the topping were fresh and tasty. Calamari was good and had an even better dip. You order at the counter and find a seat, they will buzz you when food is ready. It was a hot day so we opted to dine indoors which was comfortable. The one annoying thing is you have to go to the bar to order the flights. It was not too crowded but they had only 1 bartender and she was a bit overwhelmed. They also hold your credit card so you don't run off with the cool LI/Whale shaped glass holder, that is somewhat tricky to maneuver. Lift straight up or risk spilling your drinks. The best beer in the flight was Maibock, the Facing East and Over and Over Again both tasted like grapefruit. The Over and Over Again notes indicated guava, apricot and peach but I did not get that taste. Large outside area with lots of adirondack chairs, cornhole and giant jenga games. Fun for all ages and species. Dogs are welcome outside but not inside. Interesting local artwork displayed and for sale. This building was formerly a Ford dealership. GHB bought the property and transformed it into a brewery and restaurant. Fantastic reuse of an existing commercial building especially out here. read more

Forget this place. The first time I went to get a beer they did an 8oz pour that seemed a little less and was nicely asked "is that all?" Instead of saying something nice back the bartender said "that's what 8oz look like." Ok, so that bartender has no sense of humor. We came back for a second round. We were a party of 6 and were totally calm. No one was loud or anything. They wouldn't serve us. For no reason whatsoever. We had ubered here and we're surrounded by people stumbling and acting like assholes and they were still being served. One lady in the group turned down a flirt from a bartender and suddenly we weren't being served. Fuck this place. read more

What a delight. We went cruising out there Tuesday and saw the brewery in Greenport but they were closed. So instead, we went to Peconic and to the restaurant and brewery to get a bite. And of course a few beers. Interesting food menu and all very good a nice large portions. The beer was also excellent, of course. Self service dining. Pets allowed in the bar area but not the restaurant. Not really a restaurant but rather a place to sit with large wooden cafeteria style tables. Ordered at the bar. The server was quiet and efficient but she was not especially personable and did not make any effort to establish a rapport with me or my guests. But, still, I enjoyed it and I would love to come back on a weekend. One other point. Decorations. Some very interesting and unique decorations around and some very clever bearish kinda décor. What an awesome place to hang out, whether it's for the day or just a stop along the wine/brewery trail out east. There's a large indoor and outdoor area. Inside there's picnic tables in the bar area and typically there's live music. There's also a restaurant side, though I haven't personally tried it so I can't comment on the food. Outdoors are more picnic tables and some lawn games like cornhole. Dogs are welcome too which is a plus! There's tasting options or you can buy drinks by the glass, or even the growler. Greenport Harbor brews good beer, hence visiting their brick and mortar was a no brainer. We were aiming for the original Greenport location but accidentally ended up here at their Peconic location thanks to Google maps. The place is nicely designed, decorated and very spacious. With a huge outdoor area of grass turf, equipped with lawn chairs. You'll have a good time here, but don't come hungry unless you are willing to carve out a small hole in your wallet. The 5 tasting sampler runs for about $12, which is on a pricier side when it comes to visiting brewers in general. Thankfully they aren't stingy on the sampling pour, and it is worth trying out all the different beers they have that aren't bottled and sold at your local liquor or grocery store. Out 6 that we sampled that day, most were easy to like and one was an absolute darling for me. Below is the list, with tasty notes provided by the brewery. -"Black Duck Porter: American Porter: light body - chocolate - espresso" (Pretty good porter. We got a 6 pack before we left.) -"One Love: Lager w/passionfruit: refreshing - light - tropical brewed exclusively for Rhum & Cowfish" -"1972 Pilsner: American Pilsner: soft body - crisp finish - brewer's choice brewed exclusively for The Paramount" -"Bed & Breakfast: Ale w/lactose, cinnamon, vanilla bean & blueberries: french toast - maple - hearty" (My favorite. It was hearty in flavor but not in body for me. It was a super fun beer to sip on and savor. I was disappointed to find out that they don't have bottles of this to take home.) -"Pure Sunshine: Breliner Weisse w/pink guava: lemonade - tart- tropical"" (This one fell a bit flat for me as a sour beer. Later on we got to try Fuzzy Flamingo, which was a much more flavorful and interesting sour beer.) What Greenport Harbor Brewing place didn't do for me was the food. Not that I'm expecting to be enchanted by some food at a beer hall (albeit that would have been nice....) but from the description to the price point, the food we ordered was a let down. We ordered fried calamari and grilled fish tacos. The calamari was good, the seasoning was bomb but charging $12 for a serving size about a small bag of chips was ridiculous. The $15 fish tacos came with 3, with sparse protein but seemly fresh shaved corn served on stale crunchy single tortillas. I guess they grilled the tortillas to make it like tostadas, but by the time I'm eating it, which is right after we got it form the counter, the tortillas were in this lackluster texture between not crunchy and not soft. Thumbs down. We would come back, only for what Greenport Harbor seem to best best, beer. read more

Drove out to Greenport last Saturday for a day trip with my boyfriend and on the way home we stopped at this brewery. They had live music outside on the lawn and games like giant jenga to play. There were plenty of chairs to sit and listen to the music while enjoying your beer. I tried the pumpkin beer which I believe was called pile of leaves (maybe?) and my boyfriend had the summer ale. Both were delicious! I also sampled a beer that has raspberry in it and it was really good too but it was a little chilly and I was in the mood to have my first pumpkin beer of the season. The beers were $6 each and they even had a place outside where you could purchase beers if you had cash. There is also a whole kitchen with a pretty large menu for a brewery. Finding great craft beer breweries is one of my favorite kind of trips. My girlfriend and I came to this spot, from recommendations, and it was awesome. We started out getting the OG Double Otherside IPA. This beer was amazing. I love IPAs, and this brew was spectacular. Another one of my favorites here was the pumpkin ale they had. I love myself a good pumpkin brew ale, especially outside of the autumn season, as it's harder to find. This one did not disappoint. The perfect amount of pumpkin spice and other great flavors. I also tried the black duck porter and inner glow stout, as I love my dark beers as well, and every beer was delicious. While we were here, they also had live bands preforming, which was a nice treat. Plenty of seating as well. We did not try any of their food options, just stuck to beers all night. The staff was super friendly too. Overall, this was a fun place to visit, with amazing craft brews of all styles. Highly recommended. read more

Greenport Harbor Brewing is awesome!!! Our first visit to the brewery was two years ago and at that time the tasting room was in a second floor space in Greenport and it was nice but small. Our visit today was to the beautiful new brewery and restaurant space. This is not only an outstanding brewery from a design perspective but the beer is fantastic. The space is super modern with concrete floors and tables made of rough cut wood and metal. Dogs are welcome on the brewery side. We tried a flight of 5 beers for $12 with a wide flavor profile. The tasting comes in a adorable whale shaped tasting board. We tried their spicy pepper beer which I didn't enjoy but I appreciated the boldness of the flavors and the balance of the beer. I know I don't like a spicy beer so that was fully my fault. Each of the other beers was well balanced too, with the hop forward IPA leading the pack for me. The porter was a close second. Greenport Harbor has joined the New England hazy and hard to get IPA game and we walked away with a four pack (cans only, available only at the brewery to be consumed off site). I'm looking forward to enjoying that post haste. read more

This was my first time at this location and it really had a nice feel to it. It was a perfect spot to have something to eat and a beer. The lawn is huge and had tons of seating available even on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. I ordered the pretzel which was to die for! I actually think it was deep fried, whatever it was, it was delicious. The price is a little steep, but expected for food at the brewery. They lacked a ton of options for food, but I'll take what I can get. The only things that really stuck out to me that were missing off the menu were wings. We contacted the brewery prior to make sure they could accommodate our large group. I had email proof that they had asked we present upon arrival. After showing the email a security guy pulled me aside and told me if he lets us in the head of security is going to mad unless we "throw them something" (they wanted cash) we gave them the cash and we're escorted to the back of the establishment we're literally they kept all there excess crap literally sheets of metal on the ground. Later the guy escorted us through to a bunch of tables-- many tables that we should have originally been escorted to. I think he only changed our seating because I was like what are we doing back here. read more

I was so excited to visit this brewery for the first time. I had the most delicious beer I've ever tasted, and ordered the lamb sausage sandwich that absolutely blew me away! It wasn't until the end of the night that things turned sour. I was at the brewery with 4 of my girlfriends on a Saturday night. There was live music, and the space was decently crowded for an evening in January. One particular bouncer decided to take in interest in insisting that my group of friends call an Uber and leave, despite the fact that we weren't bothering anyone. We were approached by this man 3 or 4 times, who asked us if our Uber had arrived yet (we had not called one, since we originally had no intention of leaving at the time), and eventually he recruited a woman from the kitchen staff to pester us as well. The man was incredibly rude and aggressive and made us feel threatened and unsafe. We finally decided to leave, since we were feeling so attacked and could feel him watching us while we were just trying to enjoy ourselves. Upon exiting, I made a comment to him to the effect of, "Next time, you could be a little nicer about it," which frankly was far nicer than what I wanted to say. He replied, "Next time, you don't have to be such a nasty b*tch about it. Don't come back!" I was appalled. I understand that a bouncer needs to be aggressive, but only in situations that warrant that kind of attitude. Later on, I found out another one of my friends had a similar situation with the bouncers there as well, so this wasn't an isolated incident. Had an awesome time when I came here this past July with friends! We stopped here after going to a vineyard because some people I was with were in the mood for some beer instead of wine. We optioned for a flight, and then eventually a glass of our favorites of those. The beers were great and it was tough deciding which to get a full glass of. The outdoor areas is awesome for large groups! We came on a weekday and it was still pretty busy. Luckily, we were able to play with the large Jenga set and had fun playing a few rounds of that. I saw on News12 there are farms growing hops to support the growing East End beer manufacturing base. That's just smart and responsible, keep everything local. We walk in and zero in on the empty bar but yet there are people everywhere. 'We're closing early for a private event" I'm told Drats! I wanted to do a long tasting. I ask for a taste of one the beers, grab a six back and bolt out the door. There are about 8 different beers on tap and I loved what I tasted. A really nice place for tasting local artisans beer, play games and enjoy the garden. If you are in the North Fork area for a weekend of wine tasting, maybe you will need a beer at some point.. So this is the place you should go. It's on one of the main road of the Fork, close to farmers stands and wineries. It's pretty big, with a much appreciated sign saying buses and limousines are not accepted without reservation. Over the weekend I bumped in too many groups of drunk women and large buses tours touring large vineyards, so this sign was really nice to read and acknowledge. The list of beers is pretty long, but the bartender was really nice and gave us samples and advice. She was particularly knowledgeable of options and differences of their products. We picked a few seasonal specials and a tasting option. All of them microbrewery top notch. We seated outside on comfy large wooden chairs, and played games, while listening their nice music selection of reggae and blue grass. It was a perfect Sunday morning! I've been on a local beer kick and it seems as though Greenport Harbor Brewing Co is one of my current favs. I love their Summer Ale and it's readily available near me. So on a recent trip to the East End, my wife and I stopped in for a couple of drinks. I say drinks, because my wife is not a beer drinker. No problem here, they had wine, so my wife was happy. We were also able to bring our dog too so that was a plus. It seems like many places out east allow our four legged friends to tag along, but always check before you go. After a couple of cold ones we decided to grab a bite at the food truck located in the parking lot. Nothing fancy for us, just some burgers and a pretzel. The burgers were great. They were a double burger, and since my wife wasn't that hungry, our pup got some lunch too. The pretzel was awesome and came with a cheese dipping sauce and mustard. Overall, I'm sure this place is worth more stars any other time, but I visited here on 4th of July weekend and things were slightly different from normal. They weren't offering any flights which was a bit upsetting. The crowd around 1:30 on Saturday wasn't that big so I can't really understand why they wouldn't offer flights. The beers I had were both really good. I had the Summer Ale which is really drinkable and the Little Park IPA which was really good as well. We also sampled the Berry "OG" which comes off more like a cider than a beer. They have a huge field outside where you can hang out, play corn hole and just chill. There's a food truck too, it's a bit pricey though ($25 lobster roll) I would really give this a 3.5 stars but I can't so I have to go down to a three. I'll def come back, hopefully not on a holiday weekend, because I love doing Flights at Breweries. read more
