This one has been on my Long Island brewery checklist for a longtime -- glad I finally got to check it out. The place is kinda small but the vibe makes up for it. The upstairs where the bar has bright colors, local artists art decorating the walls, and open space. A few tables and chairs and a wrap around bar. The service was good. The pourer was friendly and professional. Staying on top of if people needed another, or wanted to try something. Now on to why we're all here... The beer!! They have a smaller selection on tap, but have cans available. From Sours to Stouts IPAs to Porters they got you covered. They offer 2 sizes and flights which is really helpful to control your adult beverage intake. Keep in mind parking is pretty much nonexistent by the brewery, you'll need to park on Main or near Front St and walk over. It's only like a 5 min walk.

A chill albeit noisy scene. I'm sorry I didn't get to try the milk stout that was on tap a month ago. I tasted the Bramble Paradise but ended up getting a can of the Peach Convocations, should have stuck with the Bramble. My dad's Lightwork Lager was mild and generally easy drinking, but not remarkable. If I'm in the area again I would definitely return to try the pretzel.

An off season middle of the week visit found the brewery open and ready with their brew. It is a pretty cool location in an old fire house next to the old jail. Lots of character. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the brews. I tried the black duck porter which was nice. Favorable and not too heavy. They also feature artist's works for sale.

Never been here before. Came Friday evening in August. Live rock band was pretty good. You need to go upstairs to the tasting room to get beer. Very chill vibe. Good beer. What's not to like?

This is a great place to check out while visiting Greenport! The beers around the Fall are great ! My boyfriend and I got a beer and they came in plastic cups which was fine. There's an upstairs which is quiet and a downstairs which is quiet as well. We visited in the evening and it wasn't crowded at all. The whole place was set up nice, clean and friendly staff! They have great merch there too! We bought sweatshirts with the logo on it! Will definitely come back again soon!

Small and unassuming yet nice and quaint inside. It's a very chill vibe with large windows to view Main Street and a cozy seating area. Tried the glass of the Bed and Breakfast which I thought would be a dark porter but was actually more of an Amber Ale. It was delicious and surprisingly light. Love that local artists are displayed and their work can be purchased.

Fun little place in Greenport. Friendly bartender and nice atmosphere. It is small and can get loud very quickly but if you're hanging out in the area, you should definitely stop by and have a tasty beer and check out some merchandise. They do have some of their less mainstream beers here so you might get something you haven't tried before!

Had their beers yesterday at the Maritime festival served from their cool old fire truck. Had the Pilsner which was light refreshing and perfect for the hot day. They had several beers on tap and some in cans too. Seems to be a very popular beer amongst the locals and local restaurants too. I visited the brewery when I was here a year ago and I liked it but the vibe was very low key. Think we caught it on a slow Fall day. It's above an old firehouse- that's why the old fire truck theme. Someone told me the brewery is also a good place for lunch but I didn't have any food while I was there. Greenport has really changed and it's a great place to visit for a day or a vacation. Don't miss the brewery while ur there. It's a cool addition.

The Greenport Harbor Brewing Co. should be renamed the Greenport Harbor Brewing Co. Tasting Room. I don't think they make the actual beer at this small location but its a great place to buy a sampler or a pint. You walk upstairs to a small loft where you can sit and sample the various beers. The cool part is, I drink this brand of beer. They have seasonal flavors like Summer Ale, Pith n Peel, Harbor Ale (my favorite year round), Black Duck Porter and during the fall they offer Leaf Pile Pumpkin Ale. I like coming here on the weekend with friends, drink a pint or two upstairs and just kick back in peaceful Greenport. This past weekend we were with friends, the husband puts up with beer but likes to drink a good Scotch. Here's the great thing about Greenpoint Brewing, they have OUTRAGIOUS seasonal beers. I started with a Spring Turning Rye Saison beer. It's made with spicy Saison Yeast, Rye Malt, Pilsner and Vienna Malts, Saaz and Golding Hops. That's a lotta things happening but the end result? Man... That's a beer I could call baby girl. My scotch drinking buddy, I bought him a pint of Black Duck Porter which he was totally vibin' on the dark beer. The Greenport Harbor Brewing Co is the pride of Long Island, always buy/drink local!

This is by far my favorite Long Island brewery out of all of em. It's gotta be something in the water I'm thinking? A couple of outstanding brews, in my opinion, is their Leaf Pile and Summer Ales. Both blow my mind and taste buds away for sure. Summer Ale in particular is balanced so well that every single tasting note rings off like a perfectly tuned xylophone. Over the top description you're thinking? Get your hands around a cold point of it (if you can find it) and get back to me! Truly a hidden gem tucked hidden away on LI's North Fork and I hope it stays that way, although, on my last visit, they told me they are opening up another tasting room in Riverhead somewhere. Oh well. Highly recommend getting your butt down to Greenport and treat yourself to an extraordinary and enlightening tasting experience. Perfection in every way!

A great brewery located in a great town. The brewery is located right next door to the towns old jail, which is really cool, and if you get to rowdy they can lock you up. The brewery itself is nothing much, basically an attic, so get there early to get a seat. The beers are very good, though I was upset that the were not serving beer flights all labor day weekend. Also I wanted to buy a taster glass but the taster glasses and pint glasses are both 10 bucks, taster glasses are only ever 2 or 3 bucks max. I did not have a beer that I did not like, all great, bar tenders were nice as well. They also have half growlers which not too many breweries have but they are catching on. I would just come here to get growlers to go instead of drinking here.

Super disappointed, came here with a party of eight 2:30 on a Saturday 10/2 and we were turned away because we arrived in a Chauffeured van. This "policy" is not listed anywhere on their website. Apparently this business is an advocate for drinking and driving. We watched a party of 7 walk in right after us and get seated immediately. I'd suggest making this policy public or just put a sign up saying you don't welcome parties unless they're drinking and driving. Happy to bring our business to Whiskey Tavern.

Greenport Harbor is definitely one of my favorite breweries in Long Island. Located in the heart of wine country, it is a great place to escape the grapes and enjoy some hops. They always have a huge variety of different beers on tap, so you are always able to try something new. The outdoor area is the highlight of the brewery. You can choose to sit at tables on the patio, or kick back on an Adirondack chair in the open field. With oversized jenga, Cornhole and Kan Jam, as well as anything you choose to bring, there are a lot of ways to enjoy the warm weather with friends. They recently opened up a restaurant within the brewery, which is a huge upgrade from the food truck they had previously. There are many good bar food options and a large seating area inside, but you are welcome to enjoy the food outside. Many factors make Greenport a go-to summer spot. Between the location, food, outdoor activities and overall vibe, I make the drive out east many times in the warm weather to enjoy all it has to offer.

Turns out it's a real brewery, unpretentious and disarmingly charming, the kind of place that reminds you not every date requires someone attempting to expense Cipriani. He arrived in boat shoes and the easy confidence of a man whose fund has already exited twice this quarter. I ordered a blood orange IPA because it sounded sporty, he got something called "Summer Shandy," which is essentially beer for people who are afraid of beer. I wore a vintage Cartier Tank Cintrée, my Chanel 1990s flap with 24k hardware (bags had integrity before the euro), and Khaite slingbacks I immediately regretted on the gravel. Beauty, like industrial real estate, comes with inherent risk. Then the pretzel arrived and I understood why people believe in divine intervention. Bronze, glossy, saline architecture. Flaky exterior, pillowy interior, just enough malt to constitute its own food group. It came with beer cheese that could convert the strictly devout and a whole-grain mustard that bit harder than a Kirkland & Ellis term sheet. I made Ryan order a second pretzel, purely for due diligence. He talked about last-mile logistics and "mission-critical square footage," and I nodded because I recognize a solid warehouse play when I see one--predictable yield, limited volatility, the kind of man who could fund both my supplement regimen and my theoretical early retirement without needing validation. Mid-pretzel, I had a moment of clarity. This is what they mean by "quality of life"--warm carbs, cold beer, a man who understands cap rates and doesn't feel the need to perform. No marble counters, no waitlist, no one explaining their "journey" to me. Just a genuinely excellent pretzel and someone who thinks infrastructure is sexy, which, if we're being honest, it is. The Brewery itself: 4.7 out of 5--effortless, genuine, the kind of place you actually exhale in. In finance terms, that's roughly 40 minutes without checking Bloomberg. The pretzel: 5 out of 5, a revelation, the carbohydrate equivalent of finding undervalued assets in a frothy market. Ryan: 4.2 out of 5 currently, 4.6 if industrial cap rates hold--he's cash-flowing, ego-free, and respects a good pretzel when he sees one. If the market turns, I'll be in Sag Harbor claiming I valued him for his personality; if it holds, I'll be back here in September, hair down, pretzel in hand, thinking maybe compounding doesn't only apply to the Mag 7.

Unfortunately, my partner and I didn't really like any of the beers even after trying four or five. (They were out of the hazy, which I might have liked a bit more.) However, sitting outside at the picnic tables with a cup of beer was nice. We were told we had to order food (is this a covid-19 thing?), so we got the pork sliders. For the price ($10), they were pretty small, but they were moist and sweet and tasty. Had to dock a star for the bathroom. It was just a bit dreck, and over the course of the 1.5 hours we were there, there were no paper towels. Pet peeve!

Ever since that first fateful trip out east and over the pond I have wanted to experience 18 Bay. Being a resident Yelper and fatty, I can't help but check out all the best restaurant options in given areas; when I stumbled upon a restaurant that changes their menu weekly with what's available, cooks you what they choose, makes your mouth water endlessly, o through it right onto my bucket list. It didn't happen, I never made a rez at 18 Bay, year after year now I've been going to shelter island brewery, walking the preserve, but never was I able to go for what I truly wanted while being there. That is until last night. Last night, the menu held such delights as lamb, striped bass, swordfish, wild boar, rabbit pappardelle, sweet pea salad in an almond vinaigrette... peach and ricotta cake; I was floored! It was a hot day, a long day, we weren't fully prepared to go to some nice establishment commando looking like sweaty pigs before our beach bath moments before snagging a last minute reservation but let me tell you!! These people are so accommodating, so sweet, so seemingly proud of the food. The staff has a tough gig learning a new menu every week and to me, share their nights with a lot of coworkers. I suppose pooling the tips here though isn't so bad as you're going to be spending $200 for a table of two give or take depending on your drinking habits and conversation game. All in all... I was blown away! We were both blown away with the sheer excitement and creativity of this place. The set up, the execution, the entire vibe last night was just so magical. Shelter island can be... eccentric... elevated... elaborate... yet still so charming and understated. 18 Bay fits right in! What happens here is you get all four Antipasti, a second course, a choice of entree (we had two to choose from) and desert. We got a couple drinks and a glass of incredible wine each. We sat at 7:15 and stayed until about 9:30-10:00, slowly enjoying every little morsel of eachother and the meal in front of us, this night could not have been much better thanks to 18 Bay. It would be a disservice to rank what my favorites were, just take a look at the menu pic I post for June 30th, the antipasti plate, and the Lamb pic I snagged with candle light. I would have taken pix of everything as it was truly beautiful but I was so focused on shoving it (oh so elegantly) in my face. If you have the opportunity to dine here, I highly suggest it as an experience to not forget. Check the menu online as it changes often, make a rez, show up, take the ride; you won't regret it. Food as a true work of art, an experience, my soul buckled with happiness.
