Update: I came back and tried their salmon sandwich. It was soooo good! It was supposedly smoked, but it tasted as fresh as the type they use in sushi. I loved the side salad and sweet potato fries that came with it too. I'm most definitely ordering it again. I also tried their energizer juice. It was different, but tasty. read more

Loved it! Vegan and Vegetarian friendly. Super fresh. Fast and friendly service. We ordered the Shrimp Ceviche, the Heart of Palm ceviche, a blueberry waffle, the mango shrimp salad and all were fantastic. read more

very good food but if you don't speak spanish then there is a chance you'll struggle ordering. i also think the ambiance is fair, just wish there was low music so there weren't awkward pockets of silence. but overall good food! really love the poke bowls and juices. read more

I got a poke bowl and it was very good. At first I though the portion was fairly small, but after eating a bit, I was having a hard time finishing it. The poke bowl actually has a lot of fish in it and was very well made. This is a vegan/vegetarian friendly place so I recommend you coming if you have been having a hard time finding a place that accommodate your diet well. G&L will turn 3 years old later this fall; how is it that my wife & I are just now eating here for the first time?! The owners are Mexican; their parents are Lebanese. And both cultures shine in the enormous menu, where you can find chimichurri chicken beside grape leaf dolmas, hummus, and gyros. Salad bar midday; extensive juice menu. Broad vegan menu. We started with the hummus appetizer; the biggest hummus platter I've ever seen. I got the gyro: smaller than most but very satisfying. Mrs got "The Drowned," a chopped beef sandwich with a sauce poured over the top bun; she loved it but had to box half up to take home because it was so big. The food was good, I appreciate that the waiter didn't mind me changing around some things in my sandwich, which turned out great (was a turkey sandwich on Ezekiel bread w avocado etc but I changed it to chicken on ciabatta w avocado etc.) The cucumber -lemonade was ok. Hubby liked his "drowning " sandwich, despite the name and that he had to eat it with a fork. We noticed the wall was a little dirty, would be easily cleanable. Seems like the clientele is mostly Spanish speaking so I felt a little out of place, but I would go back for the food. Glad to find a healthy, tasty restaurant in the Valley. The taste and quality of the food here is great! I had the chicken sandwich on Ezekiel bread and the hummus as an appetizer. It was really good and filling. The sweet potato fries that came with it were also good and not greasy. It serves healthy food which is hard to find in the Valley. That being said, they take advantage of it and have high prices for thier food. The sandwich was $9.99 which isn't bad, but the hummus was a little pricey at $8.99. I have only eaten at this place twice now. First time, very nice. Food and service all good. Second, took my college student daugther there for lunch and it was not very good at all. Sad. The menu is great; the staff very nice. Cute little place, too. And not far from STC. I liked the humous, tabouli and falafals the 1st time we went. Sweet potato fries are also a nice option. However, the 2nd time we visited, the falafals were super bland, undercooked in the middle; just plain soggy. Guh. I am hoping that they will master a more consistant product here, as I wish this littel local owned place the best of success. Just had our afternoon meal. We love mediterranean food. My wife said it was the best tabouleh she ever has. The chicken kabbob included pieces of smoked turkey bacon. The entire place is very clean and quiet! We enjoyed it very much. Expect to spend $20 per person before dessert. Worth the price. However, there's only one server for the entire restaurant consequently making service to all customers painfully slow. Based on the reviews, a group of us went in to give it a try. I appreciate the healthier menu, but none of us thought anything we ordered was more than OK. My couscous salad was less than ok for me. Too much yogurt for my taste. A friend had the quinoa burger and was underwhelmed, two others had the salmon burger and thought it was ok, but the small salad on the side got good reviews. We are not from around here and we were looking for a restaurant that had vegan options. We found this restaurant on the Happy Cow app and we were very pleased! The staff was very knowledgeable and hospitable. I had the quinoa burger, my sister had the flounder tacos, and my boyfriend had a salmon croissant sandwich. Everything was so good and so fresh! I am vegan with gluten allergy and LOVE this place. I love going for brunch because their pancakes are excellent! The vegan enchiladas are the best around...their vegan sandwich is good but not gf...I believe they use Ezekiel bread...I had it once thinking it was gf bread and had a reaction...my husband is not a vegan, so he enjoys the green enchiladas. Food is on point! Hummus could of been fresh for it's the whole point of restaurant quality. I did not appreciate the service though, since I walked in and had to wait a long while before someone acknowledged me, my guard went up. There were only two tables with customers so? What was the hold up? I got seated but had to move on my own because they cleaned up the area next to me with extra Fabuloso and the scent was overwhelming. Finally after ordering, received my drink, food and no complaints about that. But, I only got asked how I was doing with my meal ONE time when I was finishing up...before that I had to get up on my own to go get napkins because my waitress was nowhere around me. Mind you while I ate I heard her with the rest of the customers chatting away. So it's a no for me and what a shame! I won't be returning or recommending this establishment.
