    Zero stars. Awful customer experience. Had a Bosch dishwasher repair that would be under warranty…read more They send a tech out, he complains about working on Bosch dishwashers. They have to order the part. Couple of weeks later the same tech is out with the part. He complains to me again about hating to work on Bosch. The tech breaks the part and they have to do another part order. No word from Mr. Appliance for a couple of weeks so I call them and they tell me the part came in that same day (sure, what a coincidence). But they won't get me on the schedule for over a week. Supposed to be out today between 12-2pm. I call at 2:15 to ask if they are coming, owner Dennis tells me yes. They close at 5. I call close to 5 and ask Dennis again, and he goes on a rant about how Bosch won't pay his guy enough to work on a poorly designed dishwasher. That may be true--but it doesn't excuse the lack of ANY customer service at all. Their own website brags saying "Your local appliance repair technician arrives on-time, every time...". I had to call after weeks of no contact about the part. Then had to call after no contact about missing your appointment. Then had to call a 2nd time that day when they STILL hadn't arrived at closing time. And then to have the owner Dennis get snotty with me and then he even complained just like the tech did about Bosch having poor designs. I'd buy a brand new appliance before I'd let this awful company in my door again.

While the sales staff was responsive, the overall service offering raised several red flags. #1) Overly restrictive contract terms Both appliances were labeled "special order - no cancels / no returns," despite being standard Bosch 500 Series models. That level of restriction is excessive for mainstream appliances and shifts all risk to the customer. #2) Installation risk pushed to the buyer The terms require full payment upfront and place responsibility on the customer for confirming all measurements and site conditions. If installation cannot be completed, return-trip and additional fees apply. This creates unnecessary exposure before installers even see the space. #3) Opaque and inflated add-ons The quote included mandatory installation parts ($99.99) with no clear breakdown, an overpriced stacking kit ($149.99), and a steam kit added ($29.99) to a dryer that does not have a steam option. These line items reduced confidence in the accuracy and necessity of the quote. #4) Pricing certainty concerns The contract allows post-order price adjustments due to tariffs if delivery is delayed, which undermines confidence in the final price after payment. #5) Liability limitations Damage claims must be identified before installers leave, and liability is tightly limited in the fine print. This heavily favors the seller in the event of issues. In the end, although the appliance prices were competitive on paper, the combination of restrictive policies, unclear add-ons, and customer-unfriendly terms made the overall offering less attractive than competitors. I would recommend that prospective buyers read the full contract carefully and compare not just price, but risk and flexibility.

They claimed that the glass cooktop couldn't be installed as their signed contract called for. We had to buy a new countertop as their signed contract had the opening cut too large....     We moved to Des Moines and bought a new home. Our A/C was having trouble cooling our home from the…read morebeginning. It was getting worse so we needed to get a company out to look at our Unit. We liked the name, "Golden Rule". We thought we a name like that they would be a Good company to deal with. We had them to come out and fix our 4 treat old A/C. The builder went cheap and put in a 3.5 ton unit when it should have been a 4 ton. It was being server over worked to cool our house. I knew it needed a Freon charge. That sometimes means you have an A-coil or line leak. I get it. The two tech's that came out said they would not recharge the system because we needed an entire new unit. They said it would run over $7,000.00 and they would work up an exact estimate for me. I asked them how much I owed them right now for the service call. They told me $100. I said I thought that was a might steep for them to come out and not really do anything but tell me I needed to pay approximately $7,000 for a new until. I gave them a check and I told them to get out. I called another company that came out and done what I wanted them to do. Recharge my unit. They did it and my unit ran another 3 years before I had to have it replaced. I called them again when I could afford a new unit. They came out and installed a proper 4.5 ton unit and charged me $4,500. No problems since. Golden Ruke is good at training their tech's at extracting as much money as possible from the clients and not at repairing the problems. I called the company and complained after the giving the two tech's my $100.00 check for basically doing nothing to fix our problem on a very hot day. They apologized and refunded our money. To be fair this was my only experience with this company and it was a number of years ago. They may have changed management or owners since then. All I can recommend is buyer beware. Good luck with any repairs you need and get other opinions and quotes before getting worked done.
