I was recommended this tire shop by my co worker. I called them to make sure they had the right tires for my car. The guy on the phone asked for my car info and tire size then he checked his database and found the exact Goodyear tire match. Their price was very fair and way less than what the dealer quoted me. I thought I had to wait for them to order the tires but I was surprised to find out they would have them ready same day and after my work. The place is easy to find is on a corner off Vanowen. There's also a huge sign that says Greens OK Tires. You can't miss it. The parking is easy you just drive in and don't have to mess with street parking. While they were working on my tires they did a courtesy check on my brakes and said it looked great. I knew my brakes were good because I got them changed at the dealer a month ago. I appreciate them checking and being honest. That made me feel good about getting my tires from them. The whole thing took about 35 minutes and my car felt so good on new tires. I'm from Pasadena. I came all the way to North Hollywood because these guys know what they are doing with wire wheels on classic cars. Most of these use tubes in the tire. Luis knows to use talc as a lubricant when mounting the tire. This skill is being listed, and i am pleased that they are keeping it alive. I had very lightly rashed a chrome Lexani rim on my Porsche, and sent it out to Mr. Chrome, aka Greens OK Tire after exchanging a few emails with Ron. He explained in detail the process and the cost of each step. Nobody else I emailed went into such detail, and so I went with these guys, and boy, am I glad I did! They made the rim perfect again at a very reasonable cost. And talk about fast! I had the rim back in less than a month, even though I live all the way on the other side of the country. I've used Green's OK Tire since the 80's getting my wheels chromed. They've consistently provided top quality product and work. I live in Washington State now and I had trouble finding a wheel for my 2002 Jaguar. I emailed Ron and he searched and quickly found a wheel for me. He chromed it and then mailed it to me. Fantastic spot to get your car worked on! Had a flat, have them a call and immediately Chad was able to give me a quote. The tire was in a warehouse so it took a day to get it over. Chad didn't leave me hanging though! He didn't charge me a transfer fee to get the tire to the shop AND he even offered to put a tire on for me so I could drive safely on the highways until next day delivery of the tire!!! On top of it all, the shop has an "open-door" policy, meaning you can come in and watch while they work on your tire!! They have nothing to hide!! MOST AFFORDABLE, QUICK, RELIABLE AND DILIGENT TIRE SHOP I'VE EVER EXPERIENCED!!!! I just had him quote me for front brakes on my Range too. I was in need of an alignment for my car. I contacted many shops for their prices and this location gave me the best price! $65 for a 4-wheel alignment for my 2005 Honda Accord. I have a BMW with sports low rim wheels. I was at a local dealer when they told me I had a crack in my rim, my heart sank. I asked the dealership what we were looking at he said $1000 for a new rim + $ realignment. I asked coworkers and friends if they knew anyone. When my coworker told me about Greens Ok Tires. I called and talked to Ron, he was friendly and understanding, he gave me a rough idea of what the cost would be to fix the rim. I got there early one morning and he had a loner tire so I could still drive my car while they took the rim to fix it, (my car doesn't have a spare). He called me a couple days later, he installed my newly fixed rim while I paid which was in the range he had quoted. It was so easy. 3 stars because of the guys behind the counter.. The tire prices are a lil higher then Tires By Mark, but the service isn't quite as pit-stopish. If you live in the area and don't want to drive to TBM, call this place for tires. If you want an alignment however, go somewhere else!! Yes they have an alignment bay, but the guy working it is a worthless cheat.. I thought I'd find a one-stop place for everything, turns out that was a mistake.. Buy tires and wheels maybe, but nothing else.. I'm having my alignment redone today because the a-hole didn't want to do anything correctly and coped an attitude... I was referred to these guys from a friend who used to work at Community Cheverolet in Burbank... She said they always sent their cars there for almost everything. I went there about a year ago to get 4 new tires and they gave me a great price as well as telling me about my options as far as tires go. Not only where they friendly and super informative, they also gave me an oil change (even though they don't technically do those types of things there). That made it WAY easier on me since I didn't have to make another stop somewhere for that. Just yesterday I called them up again asking about a funky noise my brakes were making. They knew right away what was wrong and told me to bring it in the next day and they'd have me in and out in about an hour. We all know how tough it is to find a trustworthy mechanic, and I think I've finally found one! I dropped off my car at about 12 and they called me back not long after to give me an assessment and let me know how much it'd run me. They also told me they'd give me an estimate on my struts since they were pretty bad. I went to pick up my car not long after and paid a very reasonable price for new brake pads, oil change, tire rotation (free since I bought my tires with them last year) and all labor. It was so painless! Did I mention I'm a 28 year old woman? Haha... I know it might not mean much to you, but I've been put through the ringer with mechanics because they assume I'm clueless. How many of you lease your car? Raise your hands...OK, that's a lot of people. (You can put your hand down now). Leasing is a great way to get more car for the dollar. However, there's a catch: the "normal wear and tear" clause. Since leasing is all about the monthly payment, and "normal wear and tear" affects the residual value of the lease at the END of the lease, you don't hear much about it. But every lease company's opinion is different on what's "normal" when it comes to wear and tear. Where they all agree, is that the lessee (that's you) should pay for all the wear and tear that's not normal. And if the lessor (that's them) has to do the work/repair, then the lessee (you, again) should get seriously gouged. Which brings us to Greens OK Tire (bet you thought I'd never get to the point), and their never-ending battle for truth, justice and the American way of saving us consumers money when it comes to "normal wear and tear". First, when it came time to turn in my last lease car, the limitations of my completely inept "park by feel" system became obvious - the fancy custom wheels had been scraped and scratched by numerous encounters with curbs. The estimated repair cost from the lease company - huge. On a referral, I went to see Greens OK Tire, who gave me a stunningly lower estimate, put some proper "loaner" wheels and tires on my car so I didn't have to leave it, did the wheel repairs in the promised 48 hours and gave me back four custom wheels that would do better than pass any company's definition of "normal wear and tear". Fast forward a month or so, to a rainy SoCal Monday morning. The RFL, the dog and I are about to head off for a few days R&R. I go to put the luggage in the car, and can't help but notice it's sitting at an odd angle, courtesy of the flat rear tire. The rear tire's flat courtesy of what looks like a railroad spike in the sidewall. Repairing it is not going to work, the other tires are unidirectional so switching them around isn't possible, and there's not much time before we're supposed to be on the road. Plus, the wear on these Pirellis is ridiculously bad, so they need to be replaced before the car lease ends, anyway. Multiple problems, and all of them solved by a quick call to Greens OK Tire. Not only do they have the right tires in stock, they're a high-quality replacement at a bargain price, and I hear the magic words: "Bring it over as soon as you can, and we'll get you out as fast as we can." I did, they did, and we were soon on the road to Palm Springs with new tires (handled much better than with the Pirellis, too). Now, if I'd wanted to put on Pirellis, Greens OK Tire would have come up with those at a lower price than I saw on Tire Rack, but the Falkens they did install worked just fine for the remainder of the lease, and there was no problem about exceeding "normal wear and tear". And recently, when we needed a new lug nut for some odd mag wheels on another car, Greens OK Tire was the only place that could figure out where to order a new one. Chad and the other gentleman who are behind the counter are always friendly and more than helpful, and Greens OK Tire always delivers careful and excellent workmanship. The location is a tad difficult to find, but it's worth looking for. Even if you bought your vehicle instead of leasing it. read more

I own a very weird car that I guarantee most of the people reading this review have never even heard of, a Coda EV. It's an awesome car but "rare" and when it needs work I need to jump through hoops. Recently I needed new tire sensors installed that I had to order directly from a vendor myself. Most tire shops would not even touch my car or tried to up-sell me on something that I didn't need. (Like no, you really can't program my sensors for $50 each - there are like 5 code readers in the country that read this car and I promise you don't have one). Anyway, everyone at Green's was great and did none of that and they didn't try to sell me any of that. They listened to my situation and understood what I needed and followed the annoying instructions about the placement of specific sensors (Yes, I'm kind of the worst). The price at checkout was the same price that Ron (who I assume is the owner/manager) quoted me over the phone in under an hour.
