I don't do many reviews. It just so happens, that I met someone really exceptional. Taylor at Valley Center/ Greens Self-Storage really is a people person. I was there a few months ago with my little old dog while we were moving some things. It was so hot. Taylor gave her water and even a doggy treat. Taylor knew where we could get some good food close by while we were there working. She was so friendly and helpful. She worked with the shipping company to assure my move went smoothly. Honestly, I was so thankful she was there! It's hard to put into words. Taylor is one of those sweet people that you won't forget. My husband and I used to own our own business and we would of loved having someone like Taylor be the voice they hear on the phone or the sweet smile you see when you come in. Thank you Taylor!! Amazing experience. Moving is very stressful especially moving from out of town and having to make it to storage by closing hours is difficult. Arlene was amazing at helping my friend move who was running late due to traffic. She offered to stay late and wait for him so he would be able to check in and get his unit and unload his truck the same day. I live closer so I went in and handled everything and she truly was helpful, and made it a very easy process. My friend finally got there with his U-haul after 9pm and everything went smoothly. Highly recommend this facility, the staff is very friendly and they really go above and beyond to help you. My friend rented a unit on the second floor, I did not notice a huge temperature problem like other people mentioned. They have a freight elevator that fits 2 dollies, you load it up and send it up, walk up the stairs and unload the elevator. They also have a U-haul drop off! The facility is huge and clean! I must say this is an amazing facility and they have best people I've ever met, and I'm writing this based on my multiple visits and long term tenure and assessment by my family. We never had any issues. We as customers need to be reasonable, respectful, truthful and realistic. Reach out to the manager to raise any concerns, give them time to fix it and try to resolve the issue if any. We are all humans. So called unhappy customers here can be clearly seen unreasonable and are clearly running away either by hiding their identity or staying away from confrontation and followup. Live and let live guys!! I suggest you can completely ignore the negative remarks. I referred my neighbors and received good offers under their referral scheme. I wish the Greens guys all the best. You can see in the photos, how clean it is. It truly is spot on clean inside and out. Very kind, considerate, understanding, patient, will help if they can. They seem to have life all together at any time. Arlene S. has a sense of humor; but is very Professional ! If You don't even get a storage unit, You've got too see the facility, absolutely amassing!!P.S. Did I mention that they also do U-Hall, only up too a seventeen foot rental. Their facility can only take two vehicles at a time; this is good for a drop off, only if You tell them on the other end, that's were Your drop off will be. The facility in Valley Center is well organized and clean. While we stored our household during a lengthy move, the staff provided excellent customer service at every visit to the facility. Rachel, always friendly and helpful, was very professional and communicated policies and procedures very clearly. I stored my things at Valley Center for a year and a half ... at one point I was going to move everything because I was so unhappy with the service, care and attitude of the owner. Recently ... a few months ago ... it came under new ownership and I am so thankful. They are very helpful, take really good care of the facility and truly care about their customers. This storage facility has been so great. I looked all over San Diego for a place to store my RV and and Valley Center Storage has been perfect. The staff have always been so friendly even helping me when on their lunch break. The place is always clean and I feel very safe there as a single woman going in and out different times of the day. We used Greens Storage, Valley Center for outdoor storage of our motorhome. We had intended to store for only a short time; however, Covid-19 extended that time. Perfect experience for us. We were staging our home for the time it was on the market, and needed a place to store our junk. The folks at VCSS got us into an appropriately sized unit, without prior notice, and then two months later after the home went off the market, assisted us with vacating the storage space. When the Post Office continued to raise my rate substantially every time I renewed my PO Box, I decided to try Green's storage. Their rate was less than half of what the Post Office charged and I received excellent service. The only reason I left was because I moved out of state and they have been great at forwarding my mail. Storage units are clean as well as the entire property. No rodents or spiders and property is well kept. Doors rolled up well and not a struggle to get open like other units in town. Awesome location for storage BUT mostly a very helpful staff. I recently had 3 U Boxes delivered there and Vicki was extremely helpful in being there when I couldn't be. They took over the facility from SunRay. What a difference! Greens Storage found that my RV had been in the wrong stall for years! Never a word from SunRay. Sunray told Greens my RV had been abandoned, yet they continued to collect storage fees and never contacted me. So happy a professional company runs the facility now. read more
