UPDATE: After seeing my reviews, Ghazala gave my family and I a full refund on the disappointing arrangement. She also decided to admit fault and apologize. I appreciate what she did, therefore I bumped my review to 3 stars. I originally ordered one standing spray and upon receiving friendly service over the phone, I decided to order another flower arrangement. They were accommodating to customizing my arrangements and even including Chinese on my personalized note. Everything changed when I received a picture of the spray. The lilies were not bloomed at all, and the whole arrangement looked empty and extremely sparse. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and asked if they thought the lilies would be bloomed the next day for my Grandpa's service. Ghazala (the manager) said "they are the freshest cut, and hopefully they would be bloomed." Then, I wanted to compare the online picture of the standing spray that I fell in love with to my sad arrangement they sent me a picture of. And upon further inspection, I noticed there were only 16 roses on my spray while I counted 20 roses in the online picture. So I call them again and questioned it and Ghazala puts me on hold for a bit and then tells me that 2 roses are hiding and there are 20 roses in the picture. I tell her that there are only 16 visible in the pictures she sent over. And she continues to tell me she sees 18 and 2 are hiding and asks me to recount. I start to get very upset because I know she is clearly lying. Ghazala continues to lie through her teeth and gets extremely defensive saying that they tried their best. I say that if there is not 20 roses and the lilies aren't bloomed for the service, we will have a big problem. She also has the audacity to tell an employee that I was causing trouble. She then tells me she will have the florist driver take pictures for me to prove that there are actually 20 roses. I later find out that she went to add MORE roses and some bloomed lilies herself. I am so glad she finally decided to do what was right but its SO embarrassing and shameful that she initially thought lying to a customer and being stubborn was the best option. As l Unfortunately, the standing spray was still sad looking on the day of my Grandpa's service, the lilies were not bloomed at all. The arrangement cost over $200 and was not worth the AWFUL customer service, therefore I would NEVER recommend Greensleeves. read more

I spent $550.00 for an arrangement and delivery. If I could leave NO STARS I would. UPDATE: The owner has called me repeatedly. I had to tell her to stop harassing me. Today I received this text from the owner: "I am reaching out to you because your review is not truthful and I will be taking court action against you. I am giving you the opportunity to remove it or face the consequences" First the good stuff: Great on duty florist and assistant. Beautiful arrangement. Now the bad. The owner. Rude. She could not have cared less about me, the $550.00 I was spending, or my delivery needs. I had asked for a specific delivery time as well as a repeat delivery time if necessary. I would pay whatever the cost. She showed up to her store after the first delivery attempt, and then told me why and what she couldn't do. She gave an "I don't care about you" attitude so much so I felt compelled to remind her I was a customer. She then told me what she couldn't do for me, then after turning her back, made an insulting comment about the arrangement to her florist. Next they botch the delivery. How do I know? Because I followed their delivery van. I watched the driver get out and go to the WRONG HOUSE, despite the numbers on the house. He said "O I have never had an experience like this In a florist shop. I started speaking with Peggy at Greensleeves in late August about my son's wedding on October 29th. She said she had that date available and we spoke about the arrangements and a small bouquet and boutonnière - nothing elaborate. My mom's been going to Greensleeves for as long as I can remember so it was a no brainier when I wanted to get her a custom Valentine's Day arrangement. I went in on a Thursday evening with pictures of several design I liked and shared that my price range was between $50-$60. Beyond that, I left most of the creative design up to their team of florists. When I came to pick the arrangement up on Saturday (they also deliver), I was thrilled - it was far more beautiful than the pictures I had originally showed them! Not only were the flowers exactly what I was looking for, but the employees were extremely helpful and super nice!! I was very unhappy with the premium arrangement I ordered and would give zero stars if I could. This review is being prompted by my most recent experience but I have had many many bad experiences with this florist--all about quality and service Most recently, I purchased the largest "premium" arrangement directly from their website because from prior experience this florist under sizes their arrangements based upon the description on their website figuring they will get it at least in the ballpark. I really should have just learned my lesson by now. But, I needed a delivery so I gave them another chance and it had been a year or so since my last encounter with them. Hope against hope that they had changed--not! Also,never, never order from the FTD website for this florist. When I complained on a previous order made through FTD about this same issue as I am having now, I was told by the owner that if the order comes from FTD.com, that the flowers will arrive smaller than ordered because they have to pay a royalty to FTD. This is a total sham because I ordered directly from their website and got the same result. For the price paid and the description of the arrangement, I was completely underwhelmed and disappointed--again. Why order a premium arrangement if all they do is stick whatever blooms they had left over in a vase and call it good--no design and about half the number of blooms as mentioned in the description? This is the last time I will use their services. They are cheap and do not deliver the arrangements as advertised. I did not receive the value nor the arrangement ordered. Nor did they follow the delivery instructions. They left the flowers outside on the porch in direct sun. Who does that in 90 degree weather? Go to Wegmans for beautiful flower designs and value rather than waste your money at Greensleeves. I just wish Wegmans delivered. read more

This review is in response to the review written on 06/08/18 giving Greensleeves a one star from someone who stated Greensleeves did not deliver an arrangement. I was the one that received the arrangement in December 2017 and this person now submits a review, six months later. Who submits a review six months after having an arrangement of roses delivered? I want to state, the arrangement was in fact delivered to me. I had only been home for about 5 minutes when I got a knock on the door. I opened the door and was greeted by a man who looked very scared or concerned who delivered a huge arrangement of red roses. I clearly remember becoming concerned by his look on his face. It made me look around and wonder if that person was around somewhere. As it turned out he was, just read his review where he says he followed the driver. I took the beautiful arrangement into my house. I am writing this review because the owner of Greensleeves reached out to me asking if I received the flowers. And I did, so I am trying to right a wrong review. I have almost forgotten this person existed until now. I hope this person does not read my review because I don't want him reaching out to me. I feel bad such a wonderful florist received an incorrect review. Please read the other reviews of Greensleeves, they are more accurate. Update on this order. Greensleeves has (of course) not contacted me or reached out for any sort of refund or replacement flowers. Teleflora finally returned my calls and emails (including pictures) and only issues me a 50% refund. I will never EVER use Teleflora or Greensleeves ever again. SERIOUSLY the worst flowers I've ever received in my entire life, so incredibly overpriced and RUDE service. read more

I placed an order here (because I'd prefer to go local than ProFlowers) and not only did they not deliver the flowers, when I tried to talk to them about it I was yelled at and told that their driver's word was more valid than mine. There were four people home at the time they said the flowers were delivered, one of whom even noticed a flower truck in the neighborhood, but the truck did not come to the home nor did anyone ring the doorbell. So basically they stole $60 from me, yelled at me, and my mom didn't get flowers for her birthday. Never again. *Update* After telling me their driver had been there for years and that his word was more valid than mine, the woman then CALLED MY MOTHER to "verify" my story. I can not believe a business would find that to be an appropriate thing to do, and I'm horrified that they would drag her into this when it was supposed to be a surprise. After speaking with her they told her the driver was new, then called me and said they'd resend the flowers today, insisted on getting a signature, and yelled at me about how they wouldn't even consider a refund or upgrade in the arrangement. I recently ordered some flowers for a funeral service and when I googled the nearest florist to Fairfax Memorial Funeral Home and Greensleeves Florist showed up. I called and told them my price range and the style I liked. To my surprise, they did an amazing job, the bouquet was beautiful, elegant and look big just like the picture it was showed online. My friend ordered from them too and her flowers came out incredible as well. I'm so happy of their service and their honesty. I got scammed by Avas Flowers before where I paid over $120 for a $15 worth of flowers they gave me..please if you come across Avas Flowers, don't ever use them. WOW! I received a beautiful bouquet of yellow roses for my birthday that had a very short life span. When Greensleeves became aware of the short rose life they immediately send the most drop dead gorgeous bouquet of yellow roses with a sweet note of apology and assurance that their roses usually last for close to 2 weeks. Flowers supposed to be delivered on Feb 12 or 13 for Valentines day. Address was wrong but phone number correct. Found out about them from relatives in St. Louis on the 16th. After calls to Greensleeves they were supposed to be delivered 19th and 20th. Driver allegedly left them on door and said he had permission but never talked to anyone. When I went to pick them up on the 21st they wanted to charge $12.95 for a second delivery fee. I left with no flowers. read more

They promised my family that they will be able to deliver my anniversary flowers on time (which they did not). I received my flowers late and the balloons and teddy-bear were inside a paper bag!!! Am I suppose to sit here and blow 5 balloons myself!!! That is just terrible and ridiculous especially charging $118 for the flowers/balloons etc...the flowers arrangement is not nice either...very small and mediocre not something to pay $118 for! If I could give this place zero stars I would. I ordered flowers through 1-800-Flowers in hopes of surprising my wife with flowers for her birthday. Much to her dismay, not only were the flowers not on the doorstep when she arrived home; but they were left with the neighbors (who were not home). My wife called the florists asking where the flowers were and proceeded to question why they were not left on the front door. The representative on the other end claimed that it was the store policy to not leave flowers on the outside due to weather. I have never heard of this from any florist (and I order up to three times a year). The representative was not only rude and surly, but she yelled at my wife when my wife called out the bull crap policy. The representative then hung up on my wife. My wife called again asking to speak to the manager and the same woman answered and continued to be rude! Don't ever order from here unless you want to yelled at and hung up on. I'm launching a complaint with 1-800-Flowers in hopes that they investigate the matter and discontinue contracting out to this company. DO Not order from this place, they are the worst in Fairfax!!! read more

Terrible customer service! I asked for a delivery during the morning hours of Thursday and was told no problem, they didn't get it delivered till almost 7 at night. The recipient didn't notice it untilSaturday morning at her doorstep;. I called at 5 on Thursday and they couldn't tell me the status of the delivery right away. I asked for a manager and they didn't call me back. i had to call again on Saturday to talk to a manager and I got hung up on 4 times. Finally someone spoke to me and told me that her employees told her I didn't ask for morning delivery only not to deliver it during the afternoon. I will never give them business again and I will tell everyone I know they are horrible. I have never been treated so badly by a service provider. read more

If there were an option to select "0" stars, I would. I ordered a bouquet of flowers through 1-800-Flowers and they used this florist to assemble the bouquet and deliver it. First things first, they got the delivery date wrong. They were supposed to deliver the bouquet on Saturday, June 22nd but they delivered it a week prior on Saturday, June 15th. I called 1-800-Flowers to get the issue resolved and they offered to deliver a bigger bouquet free of charge the following weekend (when the original bouquet was supposed to be delivered.) Whomever processes the orders at this florist is a complete idiot because they went back THE SAME DAY, took the previous bouquet, and left the bigger arrangement. They got the delivery date wrong TWICE and took the original bouquet back with them. I called 1-800-Flowers immediately, demanded a refund and said I do not plan on using their services ever again. They handled it, issued me a refund, said they were going to e-mail me a $20 gift certificate (which I have yet to receive), and made sure to note NOT to pick up the bouquet that was delivered incorrectly the second time. I was appalled that they would even consider picking it up when they messed up the order twice. By that time, this florist had closed so I waited until the following morning to call and ensure that they were not going to pick up the second bouquet. I called right when they opened at 9am. Whether it was the owner or one of their employees, they were VERY rude and did not understand that they had messed up the order. First, she accused me of putting the incorrect date in the order when I had multiple forms of proof showing it was supposed to be delivered on Saturday the 22nd. Second, she asked me if I liked the bouquet and after saying, "yes, I guess so even though it was delivered incorrectly, TWICE" she said "okay, you can keep it." Really...? I can keep something I paid for and you delivered improperly TWICE? Why thank you, you are too kind. Third, after explaining to her MULTIPLE times that none of her workers better attempt to pick up the second bouquet, all she could say was, "yes, okay. You can keep it." She clearly did not understand that they had made two mistakes in the same day. After asking if she wanted to take my name or the name of the recipient, she said "no, I got a note from 1-800-Flowers this morning. I'm good." Well clearly the first two "notes" you received from 1-800-Flowers did nothing for you because you delivered 2 different bouquets incorrectly in the same day. I would NEVER recommend this florist to my worst enemy. They do not understand when bouquets need to be delivered, they are completely rude and blame their mistakes on their customers and I will file a complaint with 1-800-Flowers in hopes that they never partner with this florist again. read more
