I come here every year with my boyfriend's family to cut down a christmas tree. :) They have pre-cut trees too, but we like picking our own. The trees already have a price tag on them. You tell them which one you want and pay for it. Then they cut down the tree for you. They can also net the tree for you. I remember they have a drill here too if you need your tree mounted on a stand. There serve snacks like baked goods and hot chocolate. There is also a play area for the kids. I think I saw a small petting zoo too. My boyfriend and I got a 5' tree for $20. Is this place super cheap? No, but we like coming here for the experience. read more

My family has been look forward to a pumpkin patch visit and our regular place is closed (bc of the dark times) This place was cute and pretty big. We stuck to walking around and looking at the animals. There was also a tractor ride for everyone and smaller train type rides for the kids. There were bounce houses and little activities. These things we stayed away from, we weren't comfortable with the lack of distancing available. I really liked the bee house, you could see the bees being busy. And the kids did the panning for gold activity. That was cute. There were plenty of pumpkins in the patch and at the little store area. On our way out it did start to get too crowded for our comfort. Its all outdoors yes, but people waiting in lines for things started to interrupt the walking areas. Over all it was a decent pumpkin patch experience us. read more

I came here for the haunted hayride. The hours are 7-10pm. They have a couple of vendors out for coffee and pumpkins u can buy along with ppl dressed up walking around trying to scare u. Tickets are 20.00 per person for the hayride and 30.00 for hayride plus trail u can walk. I am a complete scaredy-cat so I opted for the hayride only. They load u and about 15 other ppl into a trailer with 3 rows of bench seats that is pulled by a tractor. (Tip.. if u want to be scared sit at the end)They take u on about a 20min ride up a mountain where it's dark, there's spooky scenes to pass along the ride up and ppl that jump out at u along the whole way. Right before it ends they stop and make everyone get out and walk the rest out thru a real cornfield with all these scary ppl hiding and chasing you. They did an awesome job!! I was freaked out!!! Don't knw if i would hv the courage to go thru again but it was a great experience. read more

Went today with my family for the first time. Cute place and perfect outing for young children. We had a great time until we witnessed something that pretty disturbing. A young teenage blonde haired girl yelled at a horse and then proceeded to hit it with a leash. My 7 year old began to cry and 2 boys even walked over and told her to stop abusing the horse. This place is amazing , the farm is free to get in and visit the farm animals they have many Christmas decorations for sale and honey , fresh farm avocados and other fruits , we stayed till sunset and got these amazing pictures , we talked to Kim the owner and she informed me that the Holiday lighted hayride will start December 1st from 5pm to 8pm through the month of December . We will definitely be coming back ,This place has already started with many Christmas lights all over the main ranch area and it's trails . My 7 year old is excited to see the other Christmas lights at night along the hayride tour . So relaxing and peaceful here and you can also get a fresh cut Christmas trees ,a huge tree for around 89 dollars is really a great price . I came here for the Haunted Trail and let me tell you, it was amazing! I was screaming the entire time. I arrived at 6:30pm to get in line for the ticket sales at 7pm. I highly recommend doing the trail if you want more of a scary experience. From talking to others around they said the Haunted Hayride is still scary but more for kids. Also the price for Haunted Trail can't be beat! $15 per person. 10/10 YOU HAVE TO GO! read more

This year for our pumpkin patch visit with our kids, my sister and I decided to opt away from Live Oak. We found Greenspot Farm in Mentone, Ca. Just the cutest pumpkin patch & farm! Up against the hillside with tons of big beautiful trees for lots of shade. Free parking, and best part...actual real (clean) restrooms rather than smelly portables . The location is fantastic and tucked away but easy to locate. We took a fun little tractor ride through the farm and got a bit of background of the property. The kids were able to play in the hay maze, the old school playground, pumpkin patch, pet horses; there are goats, a llama, an alpaca, chickens and a rooster and other farm animals. Beautiful scenery with lots of fun photo ops for the whole family. Highly recommend! Very friendly and nice staff. Free entrance! Tractor trailer ride is $4/per person. Came here with my husband and daughter to enjoy my babys 1st pumpkin patch. Bought overpriced tickets for the tractor ride, driver kept trying to put more and more people even though there was not much space. So many families with kids completely unsafe. While going up the hill tractor stalled out due to overloading the tractor. Tractor began going backwards and pressed into a pole with people still in the tractor. People got off the tractor. Little kids jumping out. I had no choice but to jump off with my baby in hands driver didnt even bother to turn and see if anyone was ok. If it wasn't for my husband that grabbed my daughter and i, i would have fell. Tractor kept on going. Im so upset that something like this would even happen. Horrible parking. Starting to overcharge. Went from $5 per kid, free for adults 4 years ago to $10 per person. Steep price jump. One year they had store bought pumpkins placed in the fields for kids to pick. You can still see the stickers on them. Somewhat overrated. read more

I went to the Green spot farm last night to do the haunted hayride, we were very disappointed. We paid $30 each for literally less than 10 mins on the hayride. The scary people didn't even scare us, it was more sloppy then anything. The woman in the front where we were climbing into the hayride was was super rude, she asked us to turn off our phones and was telling us how to turn off our phones in a smart A kinda way. This wasn't my first time at green spot but this will definitely be my last. Expensive, uncoordinated, and didn't deliver to our expectations. read more

My husband and recently got married here in May. And it was perfect. The family that owns the farm are so incredibly sweet and helpful! Even though it rained that day it was still the perfect spot for our wedding! I even had a guest tell me that when they renew their vows that they wanted to do it there! Leaving this review due to their lack of care during this pandemic. As a business, you would think they would take more responsibility to keep their customers safe. I went on their website where they claimed they were taking extra precautions due to Covid. So my family and I drove almost an hour to find that is completely a lie. No one had a mask on; employees or customers. No one followed social distancing. They had a very small selection of pumpkins and to purchase them you had to go into a very small shop where once again no one had a mask on and was impossible to keep the 6ft distance. I wouldn't even let my son do any of the activities because there was no sanitation between patrons and didn't feel safe. These are different times right now and for a business to claim on their website saying they were adapting to them when they clearly aren't is misleading and completely unsafe. We were there for 20 mins and were so uncomfortable we just left. Extremely disappointed to see a business take zero responsibility in keeping their customers and employees safe. read more

Go to Live Oak Canyon Tree Farm Instead!! None of the staff at Greenspot wear masks!! Despite information about COVID on their website and posted signs at the farm requesting social distancing, none of the staff wear or even have masks on them. They do not adhere to COVID safety protocols. Hardly anyone was wearing a mask, NONE of the staff wore masks, not even those serving food or working in the tiny store where customers were purchasing pumpkins and tickets for activities. People were packed into the tractor ride like canned sardines and no one was wearing a mask! A bunch of different families, complete strangers, shoved shoulder to shoulder into the tractor without masks... It was as if there is no pandemic happening. We even double checked to see if maybe SB county was in a different tier, but, nope! They are in purple tier just like LA county is. Lady working the check out was rude and, of course, not wearing a mask. It was bad.. we were uncomfortable and regret driving so far to visit. Come on down to the COVID cesspool that is Greenspot Farm. Went there Saturday for the haunted hayride and there were more people than I'd seen in one place since COVID started. The only reason I went was because the website said masks were mandatory. Only about a quarter of the people walking around were wearing masks. None of the employees were even wearing them. There was no one at all regulating the crowd or keeping track of how many people were entering. You only had to pay to do activities and it seemed there were a ton of teenagers just wandering around spreading germs. Our group paid for a hayride/maze combo right at opening and then had to wait to be called for our turn. While waiting, the crowd continued to grow around us and got bigger and closer until every person there waiting was touching a stranger next to them. We ended up leaving before we got called and I still feel extremely unsafe about how many people I was exposed to. Disgusting facility and I'm furious I gave them my money. If I had paid with a card, I would've disputed the charges. Places run like this are the reason good, clean businesses can't re-open now. Owners should be ashamed of themselves and embarrassed. read more

The Haunted Hayride and Maze has has been my family's Fall tradition for 8 years and this year is our last. First, the payment type that use to be accepted was cash/credit/check. This year it is cash or check only. Use of their ATM will cost an additional $3.99. Second, the tractor-pulled hayride attractions are all the same from the previous years. I did not understand the purpose of the attempting- to-be-scary pseudo Native American and probably did not serve a purpose there at all but just a poor choice of filling space for a scary attraction. Third, the maze was a disappointment from previous years with less attractions throughout the maze. I understand this is clean, family-oriented fun; however, the cost is too expensive ($120 for 4 adults for both the hayride and maze). Perhaps Greenspot Farm needs to either reduce the price (I was told "the monster" are not paid, it's voluntary) or add more attractions for the price. Thank you for the 8 years! read more

My daughters (2 and 5) and I go here almost weekly. When I saw it's bad reviews I couldn't help but chime in. Like their website says-they are open DAILY, year round. GF is a wonderful place to visit and feel like you are away from the hustle and bustle of life. We visit and pet the horses, play on the playground, wander around the property and enjoy the clear views. It's seriously one of our favorite places to visit (it ranks just below Disneyland in their eyes). The staff is always super friendly and willing to offer up fun insight into the grounds or the animals. It's also a gorgeous place to have a wedding (we've been there while they were decorating and it was beautiful). We LOVE Greenspot! read more
