Such a fun place to visit. Cute store, nice BBQ place and a great picnic spot with hiking trails. We came on a slow day and definitely will come back on a weekend or event day.

My family and I genuinely love visiting this area. It is far enough from the everyday hustle and bustle of big-city living, yet close enough to be here in under an hour, depending on traffic. This entire area is very relaxing, beautiful, and memorable. My family and I visited here with friends, and we had a fun, relaxing time. The store at Los Rio Rancho offers many goods made and grown in this area. From fresh, locally picked apples to various types of apple juice, flavored honey sticks, jams, sauces, etc. We purchased Arkansas Black apples, which, when refrigerated, have a shelf life of six to eight months. Some items, such as certain types of freshly picked apples, are priced high; however, the quality, freshness, and taste make every purchase worth it. The store is well-organized, always fully stocked, and the employees are super friendly and welcoming.

It was mine and my husband's first time visiting Oak Glen and we were so happy to find so many fun activities to do! We came on a Monday and luckily it wasn't too busy. We started in the petting zoo and pet cute goats, donkeys, bunnies, saw pigs, ostriches, cows, and other animals. On the weekends they have a wagon that takes you around the fields. After, we stopped by the gift shop and got ourselves apple cider to take home. They also had lots of apples, gifts, and baked goods inside. We saw the cider mill and pie truck outside but it's only open on the weekends. Next we walked over to go apple picking! From Los rios rancho, It's a nice trail walk to get to the apple picking, otherwise you can drive to it. The trail was nice with pretty flowers, big sequoia trees and lots of apple trees. Apple picking was a lot of fun and you're free to roam around and pick as many apples as you desire. I'll be coming back on a weekend to enjoy the other activities!

Finished apple picking and needed shaved ice to cool Down.

Lots of things for the family to experience. They have a petting zoo, apple, tomato, berry picking. They have a food truck and the bbq place. But the like was so long for the bbq we had Mexican food. The wait was not long and the food was great. The port-a-potties were gross. But they do have restrooms next to the bbq place. We didn't get to ride the wagon ride cuz it was too long, but it looked fun. Get there when it opens, then it isn't that long of a wait for things.

My friend invited me to Yucaipa, and since I'd never been, I was excited to check it out. We stopped by Riley's in Los Rios on the way to Snowline, though parking was a bit tricky with the crowds. Luckily, we found a spot pretty quickly. The atmosphere was lively with live music and a Farm Kitchen serving BBQ. I waited about 20 minutes for a pulled pork sandwich marinated with apple cider--worth it! Inside the big tent, they offered samples of cider and apples, which helped me decide what to pick later. I ended up with Royal Gala and Red Jonagold apples for $5/lb. Overall, it was a fun experience and definitely worth the drive. I'll be back!

We had a great time here. It's such a wholesome family experience to take your kids to pick fruits. My kid had a blast pulling apples off the trees with me. We also got lunch there as well and the food was really delicious. The tri tip sandwich was very tender. We also got a half rack of rips (no picture) and it was good. A bit on the salty end from all the rub but we still finished it all. Just a heads up if it's your first time, the dining area with the BBQ has parking but if you want to pick fruits then you'll have to walk back to the street and cross the road. There's parking on the other side too in case you want to save yourself the walk. There are carts that transport people to the picking spots but if you walk along that dirt path, then be prepared for the dirt to get kicked up into the air as the carts drive by. I had to shield my kids from this. The apple pricing also ranges from $4-5 per pound so it's very easy to find yourselves paying a lot of money for this. We got 2 bags worth and I ended up paying $60-70. It was a lot but worth it to me. There was no admission fee and the experience to do it with my family was priceless!

Apple season has begun! It is a family tradition of ours to make it out to Oak Glen every September. We love getting there early and picking apples in their orchard before the heat and the crowds. After Apple picking we grab lunch on site. We love their tri tip sandwich, tri tip chili, cornbread and our daughter loves their apple bacon grilled cheese. In their small tented shop you can buy apples that have been already been picked and bagged. They also sell hard apple cider, regular apple cider, t shirts and other fun things you can take home to remember your visit. They have a large parking lot and bathrooms on site. Lots of places to eat under the shade the trees.

Always one of my favorite places to visit when I'm home visiting. It's a short drive from Beaumont so it's always worth it for me. You can get so many different items. This trip I went for gifts and for breakfast the staff is always welcoming. The views outside for me makes me happy. I arrived at opening so there wasn't too much people

We wanted to go apple picking because our son loves apples! We decided to go early because we heard that it gets busy very quickly! We were able to get a good parking spot! Also we brought our stroller and it wasn't too difficult but next time I would definitely put our son in a carrier! We got a good amount of apples, they have a cute little shop that also holds apples if you do not want to go apple picking and they have an apple cider bar! We decided to get two flights and they weren't that bad. They also had some food like a barbecue spot and pie place! There is also a great trail that you can walk! We really do want to come back!

The food was okay. The cider delicious. The service was warm and friendly. The ambiance was very loud with children screaming and running pinball directions. The farm could use improvement for signage. We were lost but it's not easy to get lost. I didn't like having to walk across the main road cloaked in heavy fog to enter to the apple orchard and pumpkin patch.

10/13/24 Fun Family Day at Rileys at Los Rios Ranch!!! Especially on WEEKENDS, definitely get there BEFORE 11:30 parking is FREE BUT extremely difficult to find after this time. *****SPECIAL NOTICE: I really should've DOCKED 2 stars simply because the staff directing traffic/parking DIDN'T ALLOW my aged parents (with handicap placard) to be dropped off past the entrance to the parking. Our vehicle could've turned into the lot to drop them off because of their difficulty in ambulating. The staff said "it'll block traffic" As our van drove off, he proceeded to allow a couple of cars into the lot. That was extremely rude & uncalled for/-- especially for HANDICAP people. Due to this, my parents stayed at the picnic area and were not able to go apple picking with us. Despite this mishap, the rest of this trip was fun filled. Parking was a bust in the lot because it was full so we ended parking on the street. Highly suggest coming early on the weekends (before 11 am should be good) Entrance to the apple picking is free but the activities have fees (ax throwing, petting zoo (feed), tractor ride $6/pp to pick fuji apples (further up or maybe 10-15 walk uphill). There are other attractions & vendors that sell bbq, lemonade, apple cider tastings, kettle corn apple pies & cider, etc. There was a live band playing as well. The staff (except for the one who was directing traffic/parking) were friendly & helpful. For apple picking, it's $4.50/lb but it's less if you buy 10 lbs or more. You are not allowed to eat while picking (but who's watching? hahaha). There are many varieties, many of which I have not ever heard or encountered such as gravenstein apples. Do try the freshly made & chilled apple cider, very good & refreshing (for prices see photo please). Please bring water because water (16 oz bottle is $2.75 and it was supposed to be chilled, it was not, on a hot day, no less!). We brought our own food & drinks and had ourselves a picnic on the other side where all the other activities were. The botanical garden is free but we didn't get to venture out there, maybe next time if we decide to visit this orchard again. The kids & adults in our group had fun picking, looking for the bigger fruit to brag about (lol). The apple I tasted was okay, not sweet, crunchy, not juicy, maybe best for baking. Overall, for the first time experience, it was good, could've been better had we known to get there before 11 am due to parking issues. We almost gave up & we were going to Sky-line instead because parking situation there was much better. My sister headed there first & scoped it out but my brother said we had originally planned for Riley's-- so Riley's won this time. Knowing what I know now, perhaps we will give the other apple orchard a try next. My parents not being allowed to be dropped off & join us for this first time event (apple picking with family)? Riley's, that was a huge let down in my book. Better plan for next time, hopefully a better experience, at another orchard. So many to choose from.

Last min trip to oak glen and made the trek from the city to visit riley's at los rios rancho . It was recommended by a fellow yelper Stacy A. to arrive as early as possible due to crowds and heat. Also traveling with a toddler and a couple of seniors so there's that to consider. Arrived close to opening and it was recommended to go across the street while it's still early to pick gala and mutsu apples . The main area has mcintosh apples and the food and petting zoo plus shops . The area i'm referring to is across the street has a larger farm area and a cider press . They have a small parking area and you can either walk or take a tractor ride up to the official picking area .Tractor ride is worth it in my opinion . The farm is large and offered Mutsu and Gala apples that day . My Kid loved it and even though it was somewhat hot she had a blast selecting and twisting the apples off . Staff is super cool and helped us navigate our short stay with a toddler . We ended up back at the main area and this is where i messed up . When it was time lunch i forgot to take pictures . I had the ribs but let's just say if i could do it again id have the tri tip sandwich . We made it to the entrance of the petting zoo , but my daughter wasn't feeling it , so it was time to make our way back home . We did stop by Snow-line for donuts before heading back .

    Ready for some apples

Great place to have fun with a group of friends and/or family. Discovered this gem last year and it's now become a tradition. The apples are perfectly ripe and delicious to eat. It's great that they have signs that inform you what sections are open and tell you what area of apples are not ready for picking. I was lucky this last time because they just opened a section so there were an abundance of apples to pick and no one there. When I left, the crowd started to come as the word got out. Heads up: it is quite a walk up to some of the apples. Highly recommend wearing comfortable shoes as you will be hiking unless you're just there for the photos. There are apples to get your photo on in the front but those ones are often picked at and have barely any apples on them. Also, be prepared to walk in dirt from the moment you park to picking apples to whatever you plan to do on site.

The apple cider was good, but I would've preferred it to be colder and not served in a Styrofoam cup. I'm assuming that's because it was the end of the day and it looked like they were running out of apple cider and other materials. I also got the apple cider popsicle for $2 which was a good deal. It was good, but I didn't like how the juice separated from the water during the freezing so it tasted like regular ice by the time I got to the core of the popsicle. For food, I tried their Strawberry Banana Sweet Bread and that was my favorite thing! It was not too sweet and moist. It was $6.50, but not too bad for a whole loaf. The interior was fun and rustic. There are several things to shop for from different baked goods to nic nacs. The service here was pretty good and the staff seemed nice and personable. There's some parking out front as well as some picnic benches and tables with nice views of the mountains and foliage while you enjoy your treats. The farm itself isn't your typical farm,it's more of a historical village with different stations set up to demonstrate things like candle making, crocheting from that time period, how the judicial system worked, and even the types of games people used to play. One of the highlights was the Revolutionary War reenactment at the end, where the kids actually got to participate as soldiers. It was such a cool experience and also really educational at the same time. I went as part of a school group, but you could definitely visit on your own and still have a great time. It feels like stepping back in time in the best way. When you drive up to Riley's there are staff that direct you to either the Colonial Chesterfield Restaurant & Bakery area (lower parking lot) where they also have archery, tomahawk throwing, and other colonial-themed games and activities or to the upper lot where there's Heritage Homestead BBQ, an apple and pear u-pick field, and a little barn area with goats. You can also do a ride-a-long on a tractor that takes you around the farm. We stopped at the upper lot to pick apples & pears first, and had some BBQ inside the packing shed. We had the chicken cowboy plate ($27) as well as the tri-tip cowboy plate, with 3 sides each. We ended up getting ranch beans, coleslaw, potato salad, and corn bread. Everything was quite tasty, and the apple BBQ sauce was great. The cornbread was also great with butter and honey. Both the chicken and tri-tip were cooked very well and tasted great with the BBQ sauce. Within the packing shed, there were tables/seats and a bar in which you can order drinks and listen to a band while eating. After that, we went fruit picking which was a fun hands-on experience for adults and kids at an affordable price. We also went to the lower farm area where we had desserts. You would order outside, and you can either sit outdoors or go inside of the tavern to sit and eat (there's air conditioning inside) which was nice since it was in the 90s the day that we went. We ordered the apple shake and a blueberry turnover, which were both good. We ended up walking around the grounds to see the pond and the different activities they had to offer. We didn't get to do any of the activities since we went there late and they were about to close. There were also signs showing that they do themed days, which looked really cute and fun. We'll definitely be back again to enjoy the different activities.

Casa Solano Orchards is a spot we added to our list of "must do's" when we come to the area again. It's owned and operated from their own family home. The cider options were all delicious, the family made you feel so welcome and happy you were there. There was so much room to hangout & grab a drink! Dont miss the seats by the creek or balcony seating! There is truly no bad spot. They had music playing, a childs playground, yard games, orchards to walk through and pick during the season... we will absolutely be back!

The orchard was beautiful and had lots of fruit to pick. They had a couple of different varieties available, some that were really sweet. Right when we got there, we were greeted by friendly staff. Apparently they're known for their ciders, I think specifically the hard ciders. We got the flight and my favorite was the guamica, guava flavor. It was amazing ! They also have non alcoholic drinks available and a bbq vendor there. Great for a nice meal. I really liked the place even though it was a smaller orchard because I feel like it embodies what I'm looking for when I go to an apple orchard. It's immersive and nature-y with such great vibes. It was quiet, bright, and peaceful. Everywhere else I stopped by was WAY overcrowded and stressful, but not here. It's family owned and it had that personal touch. We had a chance to speak with the owner, and he knew so much about apples and was so friendly. This place was definitely my highlight of Oak Glen and I'm looking forward to go back.

Surrounded by nature, with fresh mountain air and birds singing, it's the kind of place that makes you slow down and enjoy the outdoors. We visited in December, so it wasn't peak season and not everything was open, but we still had a great time. Even with fewer attractions available, it was fun just being there walking around, taking in the scenery, and enjoying the quiet, outdoorsy atmosphere. It's a lovely place to visit, especially if you appreciate nature and simple pleasures. Even in the off-season, Oak Tree Mountain was enjoyable, and I can only imagine how charming it must be during peak season.

More importantly, we laughed and had a great time. When we arrived early in the morning, the temperature was 35 degrees and overcast. If you plan to visit here anytime soon, BRING a jacket as you WILL feel the chill the second you open your car door. It was pretty chilly, but it felt GREAT as the air was crisp and fresh. I read the many negative Yelp reviews regarding an additional fee to visit the upper area. Thank goodness they were not charging during our visit, as we would have done exactly what many other visitors did before us and left. The small shops were lovely to visit, as all the items sold are handmade and, surprisingly, very affordable. One shop was offering 50% off EVERYTHING, so my family and friends definitely took advantage of the savings. This is a fun place to visit and to get away from it all for a few hours, as long as they do not charge visitors any additional fees, including parking, which, during our visit, was free. Thank goodness for anything free nowadays.

Low-key and charming, with some unique surprises. Chief among them, the craft apple cider cocktails. I got a mule and my daughter and wife got a tasty, smoky Bourbon revelation in a glass. (Well, actually a plastic cup, but I'd drink either out of a rusty hubcap they're that good.) "Would you like some ratatouille crostini to go with that?" "But of course!" (Best call I made all weekend!) Sit by the fire or find a spot of sun at one of the scattered tables. Walk around and explore. Go to the creek at the back of the property and listen to the water go burbling along over the rocks and through the brambles. We were there early (just short of 11 a.m.) so it wasn't too crowded. If you want a commercial experience, go to the Village or else where on the mountain. If you want something truer, go to Stone Soup Farm.

This farm has always been a family favorite, we've taken the kids here year after year due to its beautiful scenery and very nice staff. The store sells awesome marmalade! The tour is relatively short, but very informative, which is perfect for kiddos, and there's very few people compared to busy weekends! The activities such as panning for gemstones and candle dipping are very fun for the kids, and I cannot say enough good things about their new children's garden! I highly recommend this farm, they have beautiful private picnics as well!
