Nice shower, but water damage on ceiling
Terry W.

This was recommended by a friend. If you sign-up for their program, you can get a better rate. In our case, the program was less than the savings, so it was a no-brainer. The breakfast is pretty spartan, but there is a breakfast burrito. Nothing to write home about, but better than cold cereal and toast. Location was not bad. No carpet in the rooms. Room was clean. There were signs of water damage in bathroom. Not horrible, but a sign that maintenance is not top-notch. For what it is, not bad. I would stay here again on my way to somewhere else, as was the case this trip. If I were going to stay several days, I'd probably choose something like a Residence Inn.

Clean, inexpensive, pet-friendly, free breakfast, and free Wifi (though it is not super strong). Great place to spend a night or two while you're in Flagstaff. I never stay in my room too much anyway so I don't want to waste money on an expensive hotel. Highly recommend this place for budget travelers who want someplace safe and clean.

Showerhead pressure

The check in was smooth, and the associate at the front desk was very helpful and friendly. As I passed the pool on my way to the room, I saw it was covered with a tarp. A short call to the front desk confirmed my disappointment, as it is down for maintenance. But it's summer!!! ...a cruel, cruel summer. The room is a little dated, but I did get a deal booking through Priceline. It's not great, but it's not horrible either. Most likely won't return. The backlit mirror in the bathroom makes you look good, providing you looked good to begin with. The toilet is one of those low riders you'd find in a KinderCare or Tutor Time. It's like having a Squatty Potty without having the Squatty Potty. The shower pressure was on the low end, but workable. Got a little annoyed that the shampoo was empty. True, I don't have hair on my head, but I do have it in other places... rude! I almost killed a fruit fly, but my reflexes were too slow. Then bae saw it crawling on the ceiling. Let's just say, she don't crawl no more. If you hear a "boing" at random times during the day or night, it's just the mini fridge. However, if your headboard's a creaking, you might be a freaking. That bad boy is like a seismograph, picking up every little movement. Thanks, room 228

Stains all over our sheets

Love hate relationship! Pros: - across the street from Walmart - hot water - free parking - location - they let us check out late Cons: - DIRTY sheets! - not enough parking? We had to park handicap one night because they "don't know why they don't have enough parking" - breakfast was over earlier than promised - 24 hour front desk Overall, it was an okay stay! The location is great and we felt safe the entire time. Did not like the dirty sheets.. and our feet would turn black after walking around for a few minutes

Really comfortable king bed. Nightstands have charging outlets

Lots of good points- let's do those first: Great location and easy to find, plenty of parking Comfortable bed and bright white linens Floor is wood laminate (much cleaner then carpet) Updated bathroom and sink area Room feels spacious Efforts to be green - soaps dispensers rather than single use containers Staff is helpful, but you can't call from this room! Close to shops Breakfast included Dogs are allowed Needs Improvement: Room phone doesn't work!!! Adjoining door to next unit doesn't lock- but got fixed Sidewalk to office is really tilted and uneven- watch out!! Barking Dogs are allowed Rooms have minimal insulation - stay upstairs if possible

Split floors

STAY AWAY!!!! STAY AWAY!!! My wife and I have no clue how this place is rated so high. If I could give it a zero I would. Please stay away from this place. It is nasty, and the health department needs to do something about it. We stayed here one (1) night. From the second we stepped through the door we were both in ahh! The first thing we noticed was the wood floors were separated in multiple spots. Then came the smell from the couch in the room. It smelled like dog pee. As we walk over to check out the beds and plug in our phones the outlets have what looks like water damage all over them. The bathroom just gets worse. Mildew all over the shower, block mold that was once painted over is now coming back through. Dust collected all over the bathroom fan. I couldn't wash enough to fell clean. The window lock doesn't even lock the window so there is no way to actually keep yourself safe. This place reminds me of a Motel!

Paint missing from front door

We stayed here as an over night adventure to get out of the heat of Tucson! Let me start off by saying the gal who checked us in was very friendly and polite. Because of the pandemic, the breakfast was not available, however she did offer us a sack breakfast with 3 different options. We each got the breakfast burrito, which was OK for free. The room itself was pretty decent, until I noticed a stain on the sheets!! Gross!!! This just put a damper on the whole room. Also, the remote didn't work unless you were right up close to the TV. And, the toilet paper was so paper thin it came apart when you pulled it off the roller. There was also paint chipped off of the front door as you walk in. I think I would rather do a little more research next time we come to Fl

A nice hotel made of red brick. Pretty nice to look at. Pool and jacuzzi were closed, which is stupid because other hotels I have been to recently are all open and working just fine. Very disappointed in that respect. They told me up front that they will have breakfast from 6-8am so hopefully that is good and works out ok. The room is pretty nice but the a/c is way underpowered- even with it being this time of the year. The two cleaning lady's I spoke with were friendly and helpful. The front desk woman named Rebekah was nice and friendly as well. A nice place to stay for a night, but get that pool and jacuzzi turned on, what the heck!!!tv keeps shutting off saying error 225 signal interrupted so I guess cable tv is a no go for tonight

Shower

We stayed last weekend. While the room looked nice it definitely wasn't clean. The floors were filthy. My daughter had her shoes off and her feet were black like asphalt. I had to carry her to the bathroom sink to wash them. The refrigerator was very clean but the stove and toaster oven had crumbs left behind. It looks like the housekeeping staff does the bare minimum. We requested extra towels and they delivered them right away. The closet had empty water bottles and caps. The bathroom looked clean except for the corner of the shower. Breakfast burritos and bagel sandwiches were just okay. I would stay again if the rooms were cleaned better. We stayed in the suite.

Worn out. Tight parking. Like finding a space was extremely difficult. Indifferent desk staff. Meh. Wouldn't recommend it.

We decided to complete our spontaneous journey by booking a hotel once we arrived in Flagstaff. We decided to book at Hotel Elev8 as it offered great amenities at an acceptable price point. Upon arrival, we were greeted by friendly staff. Check in was a breeze. When we went to our room, we entered through a side entrance as recommended by the front desk staff. From the main hallway- I was a bit surprised by an abundance of maid carts and extension cords for the vacuums strung out all over the floor. I saw this as a major liability of a guest were to trip over a cord. The hotel does not have an elevator, which could pose an issue for some guests. This did not bother us though. Our room was clean, and updated. I was very impressed by how nice of a room it was considering the low price we paid. I loved that there was a 24 hour gym, sauna, large hot tub and pool on the property. All in all, I feel that this hotel was well worth it for the price. We would definitely book another room here in the future.

It's a downright rip off. $40 EXTRA for an $80 room, that's a 50% premium just because I have a dog. I asked what the outrageous fee was for and they could not give me an answer other than 'extra cleaning' which we all know is total BS. Housekeeping does absolutely nothing different because there was a pet in the room. Policies like this are just a blatant rip off. Anyways we went up the street to Days Inn where they don't charge exorbitant pet fees.

He seems mentally unbalanced and is not a good face for the business. I made a reservation online and arrived with a small camper in tow. Blue immediately assured me that it wouldn't be possible for me to park anywhere on the premises, though I'd already paid to stay the night. When I asked "surely you aren't that busy, the parking lot has many open spaces", he raised his voice to yell at me that as a policy they do not accept oversized vehicles and I needed to find somewhere else to stay. I am a young woman traveling alone and grown men yelling at me is scary, so I left the premises to find another hotel to stay at. I called the agency I booked the hotel through to cancel the reservation. Blue reassured them on the phone that he can't do a refund because one guest can only take up 2 parking spaces. My car and camper can detach and take up exactly 2 spaces. This detail would have been helpful to hear initially instead of being yelled at and shooed away so I could resolve the situation. Because I booked another hotel room at Blue's insistence, and then he refused me a refund. I returned to the hotel to clarify with Blue that I would have liked to know the bit about being able to take up 2 parking spots because I could have fixed the problem and stayed there instead of paying for 2 hotels, but he started raising his voice at me, telling me the blatant lie that he "was trying to tell me that, but I wouldn't listen", and continued to scream at me to get off his property. As long as this man is working here, I'd recommend staying far away from this business. I've added some photos of the space in the parking lot for reference.

This was two items they charged an extra $50 for. The "fan" was supposed to cool the room after 30 minutes but blew hot air out no matter what setting. This demonstrated lack of any oversight or care that a room in such deplorable conditions was even offered to a paying guest. I demanded my money back or that they make it right. We paid for a 6 night stay. The next room they moved us to was much better. The microwave was clean and the fridge worked. Turned on the "fan" and the room cooled to near freezing. We stayed our 6 nights. I believe this place has a long term stay area were there are sketchy people that I see holding signs on street corners. And I firmly believe they have substandard conditions there because they claimed their air conditioning was broken. Maybe in that one building but no fan will ever cool a room to near freezing. That's air conditioning. I believe they have a guest section where everything works and then a long term stay where they could care less that anything works. The location is convenient to a highway, Walmart, fast food and restaurants. Parking is plentiful. After a certain time you must speak to a kiosk with someone on video as the front desk is installed.

So when we had to travel to Flagstaff again for some appointments at the end of Feb this year, we figured things would be same. We had booked through Priceline a queen room in a smoking room as we vape. When we checked in, the woman was very nice and check in was fine. Our room however was not good. It was 2 double beds. One of the lights didn't work. The lights that did work had two different light shades. There was something very sticky dropped on the floor that hot water couldn't even get off the floor. One of the lamp shades was broken. The TV got maybe 10 tv channels. There was a dirty crusty washcloth hanging on the shower curtain bar. The beds were pretty hard. The biggest downfall of the room was how hot the room was. When we checked in, it was really warm, so we pushed the ancient (falling off the wall) thermostat all the way to cool and turned on the fan. Instead of cooling the room, it got to over 90 degrees. We woke up at 4 am dying in the heat. We had to open the door and let the cold air in to cool off the room. We were not able to sleep after. At checkout, you don't actually check out with a real person, it's a kiosk with someone across the world. It is so impersonation. I believe since Motel 6 has been acquired by Oyo, they have gone downhill. Also, look into the air vent. Ours shows the filter had not been changed since November 2024.
