WHAT A NIGHTMARE... NEVER AGAIN. I opted to go through my traveling self-booking company Beacon. Check in was quick and easy. The hotel air was scented & awesome. Upon entering the room, I recognized it looked smaller than the photos on the website. My husband noticed the TV was discolored and had a purple tint to the screen so he called the front desk to let them know and they decided to move us to another room. The new room was on a higher level and was a bit more spacious. So that was a positive. Apparently when I was showering, the TV in the room we had just gotten moved to also had some issue with the TV as it was automatically shutting off when my young son was watching a show. Again my hubby called the front desk to make them aware. No change as my husband was told we had already been moved to a new room by staff. No problem as we never asked to be moved from the first room - we simply wanted a working television. THE DOWNSIDE TO THE BIGGER ROOM: During bedtime we began preparing the suite. Upon walking into this suite - The couch had a gross strange white-type dirty appearance on the cushions (will upload photo). When pulling out the sleeper bed under the couch - the sheet on the mattress had already been slept on from a previous guest as there was long black hairs in the sheets and a couple disgusting yellowish blotches in the sheet. (Will upload photo) I ended up calling the front desk and to my surprise, Graecyn- fixed this situation immediately as she graciously and quickly brought extra clean and fresh bedding and even laid them on the couch as well as removed and replaced the dirty sheet on the sleeper. This really resulted in me feeling better about the cushions and the erratic TV. We opted to watch TV on our IPad. BREAKFAST OF DOOM Here's where things got ugly... During breakfast the next morning downstairs at the buffet while a guest was using the waffle equipment- the equipment became faulty and batter spilled all over the counter. Mind you there were two machines and the one on the farther left of me had issue. The one on the right (on my side) was still in working condition and a male in front of me removed his waffle once the machine timer signaled and he left the area. I was next in line.. I poured my batter and waited to the farthest right along the wall to give staff room to clean up the mess. I reached into the small trash hole within the counter on my side to throw away the disposable batter cup and just as I did - the younger staff member on the left leaned over on my side, (practically over me) bumping my hand while throwing away napkins and batter into the same small hole I was already in and got my left hand and diamond wedding ring (that I had professionally cleaned) drenched with batter mix. At this point I became frustrated and mentioned her error because she didn't even acknowledge her error. When I spoke up, she failed to even look at me, but instead said "Sorry" a little sarcastically. I then pulled out my phone with my right hand and snapped a photo of her (will upload photo). I thought, how could you not say, excuse me - pardon me or may I please get into your space to throw this away? But no... not a word, just a reach over me and got my hand and ring filthy. Later after my family got their meal and was eating.. I arrived at the breakfast table to join after I tried wiping off the batter that was now in my ring and on my fingers. I noticed my daughter looking at her food and asked her if she was ok. She then proceeded to show me the hair she found in her oatmeal. To me, this was the last draw. I walked straight away to the front desk and brought up these downfalls as errors to the front desk staff member on duty and a worker went straight to the oatmeal to remove it, meanwhile I was told a manager could speak to me regarding the issues once she arrived on site - but by that time, I was ready to check out immediately. I asked to receive a phone call instead. The manager called me approx 20 minutes later - but I was driving and couldn't speak as there was a signal issue so I asked her to please call me in a couple hours when I would no longer be driving so we could discuss the issues. She agreed and our conversation ended. I expected to get the call from her - though unfortunately she never called me back. Springhill Suites by Marriot in Flagstaff truly dropped the ball and that just showed me the lack of care for consumers/customers/guests time, money & satisfaction. Good hotel, spent one night and I only had one complaint. I got ready to take a shower, turned it on and then had to take a like 7min phone call. So the water had been running for a while by the time I was able to get in. And it was only warmish, I'd say borderline cold. I've been working incredibly hard for quite a while, and I was in great need of some time off. My daughter was too. To get a little break for both of us, I decided to take a mini-vacation with my daughter and revisit one of my lifetime favorite locations, the Grand Canyon. All my preferred hotels at the Grand Canyon were booked, so I decided to stay here in Flagstaff, Arizona, at the SpringHill Suites by Marriott. My daughter and I stayed here for a few days, and we had a really enjoyable time for the entire duration. Best of all, our entire stay here at the SpringHill Suites was free because I'm an elite member at Marriott, and I have a ton membership points to stay for free whenever I want. I love free stuff! A few days before our arrival, I reserved a hotel room here with two queen-sized beds for my daughter and me. Upon arrival, our hotel room met my expectations. I was very pleased with the level of cleanliness, comfort, quietness, safety, and value of our hotel room here. These five attributes are the most important ones for me when staying at any hotel. The SpringHill Suites is one of my favorite brands of hotel when I stay with Marriott. As is typical, they met all five of my primary expectations for any hotel, and they also offer free breakfast for their customers, as well as free coffee that is available 24/7. For this hotel in particular, I was extremely pleased with the level of friendliness and professionalism from the staff here, from the genuine and professional greeting upon my arrival to the sincere smiles I received from some members of the cleaning staff. Staying overnight for 4 people and this hotel offers the best layout for our family 2 Queen beds and a sofa bed was perfect. The bathroom is divided into 3 sections - closet, sink, toilet and tub - making it easy to use simultaneously between two people. We've stayed in other suites of the same layout and before and we always love it. Check in was a breeze with friendly staff who make it easy for us. They even delivered extra towels and blankets to our room. Breakfast has the same spread with most of Marriott's line. We checked out with heavy snow overnight. The worst Marriott property I've ever stayed at. Room was dirty when I checked in and made me disgusted. There was hair and some sort of fluids from the previous person in the shower. The fitted sheet also had what looked to be a blood stain on it. Staff were really weird vibes and didn't help with the experience at all. Opting to stay at this Springhill Suites Flagstaff due to brand name, it taking pets and frig, I would say that the property did not exceed expectations, but was decent and a comfortable, clean option while we were pit stopping for like 8 hours on our way driving East to Chicago. A nice gentleman checked us in as we arrived during the evening hours and a cold Coors Light bottle was available for purchase at their kiosk, so things are going well from the get go. On a side note, be it Coors Light or something else you need that may or may not be in the kiosk at the reception desk, know that this hotel is directly next to a Walmart. Rooms have a comfortable open feel, typical/standard with the brand. Bed was comfortable with adequate reading light on headboard and side table lamp. There is an odd circular end table on the other side which seems kind of goofy and a decorative afterthought by the Marriott design team, but whatever. No clock, no USB outlets. Bathroom is clean and comes with only a shower, which is not a problem for me personally. Full size shampoo/conditioner/body wash bottles attached to wall in shower. Room was as expected from the brand, clean, but nothing more. Lobby is kind of big, lots of seating. Our room includes with includes breakfast, which is a nice amenity for weary travelers. Waffles, eggs, yogurts, cereal...you know the drill. Pet relief area is about the size of a postage stamp and on a fake grass slope with a barred water drainage hole that your tiny dog might slip into. Pet owner beware. Being in close proximity to the university, I think this place might get university customers in addition to road side travelers like myself. Provided what we expected after a very long drive . Beds were clean and comfortable. Room comfortable fit 5 people, including a couch bed in the office area. Bathroom and surfaces were clean. The only cons were the coffee machine in the which was not cleaned but the breakfast downstairs made up for that. They offered an array of different foods hot/ cold, coffee/juice. So when you first pull in, there is ice and piles of snow everywhere. It's not maintained, they don't get much sun so just slippery ice. They charge for parking which is just greedy. There's no gate, no guard, but you want to charge a daily parking rate. Which I was not made aware of at the time of booking. Pool is closed. Most staff is amazing and pleasant, genuine smiles, opening doors, greeting you regularly.... then there's a few that clearly don't like their job and don't want to be bothered. Hotel room was clean. Some staining on rug, but it's a hotel, it happens. My biggest issue is with designer! The bedroom space is way too small, they put closet in the bathroom. We had to put luggage in closet, there was no where else.... But every time we had to go somewhere, there was a constant wait for the bathroom. No ideal at all for more than 2 people! I did very much enjoy the living space, couch was big and deep, didn't have to eat meals on beds. Fridge was very small, but fit all we had but no space for leftovers. My biggest issue was breakfast. There really aren't many allergy friendly options. Most hotels these days are offering gluten free pastries/bread sealed. Nothing at all here. Weekends are a nightmare!!! Everything was constantly out. Come back, then they were completely out of plates. Just crowds of ppl fighting for the last item. Toaster took a ridiculously long time. Best thing there was waffles, which on weekends you'd have to wait at least 20 minutes for! read more

We decided to stop here on our way to Monterey. We had never visited Flagstaff, so we stayed here due to the close proximity to everything. We arrived at 11, and they let us check in early. The staff was super nice, the room was very clean, but the shower/toilet room light is very dim. Plus, they charge $10.00 dollars for parking, really? Just raise your room rate by $10.00 and call it good. All in all, it was a good stay and we would probably stay here again, if in the area. read more

Breakfast had a good selection of sausage, eggs, muffins, breads, cereal etc. The staff were friendly and nice they did have to charge $10 a night for parking. Stayed here at the end of March with the spring break rush. The hotel was very busy but we were still able to find parking. The hotel is conveniently located next to a ton of restaurants and shops. Our room was large and the layout was perfect for our group, with two very comfortable queen beds and a pull out couch, as well as a mini bar and fridge area, and a desk. We loved that the glass behind the desk could slide, so we could have conversations through the gap. Haha! We had an early morning arrival, showing up very late due to an unforeseen emergency. Asya was at the front desk and she is a GEM! Not only did she hold the room for us, but she was so kind and pleasant to speak with. Not only was she accommodating and informative, but she was also concerned for our wellbeing. Her empathy and care really set the tone for our stay. So much so, that we decided to book a second night here. THANK YOU, ASYA! Breakfast options are decent, with oatmeal and all the fixings, including dried fruit, shredded coconut, nuts, etc. They have small containers of yogurt, although none were dairy free. There's a waffle station, scrambled eggs (the first time I've been able to eat the powdered eggs because they were still moist and tasted good!), and a healthier option of egg bites in cups (kind of like a crustless quiche). Bagels and toast were other options, but no peanut butter if you're a PB in the morning kind of person. There are also laundry services available, just ask the front desk for detergent. We stayed on the first floor, so I'm uncertain if there are washer and dryers located on the other floors. The coffee stations were always full and hot, with plenty of cups and add-ins on hand. We loved the hot and cold water dispenser to fill our hydration packs and keep with our evening tea routines. This was my second stay at this Flagstaff location and I will definitely be back in the future! Just a little over an hour to get to both Sedona and the Grand Canyon, and about 2.5 hours to reach the Havasupai Trailhead. This was a better option for us than staying in Henderson or Las Vegas, and cheaper too. The service, amenities and location are more than worth it. read more

Disappointed by a Marriott for the first time. We checked in early, then we ran in to get room keys and leave our bags in a hurry. At that time, I noticed the curtains were off the track, open on one end, and needed to be put up so we could have dark for sleeping. I nicely asked the front desk in person to have the curtains reattached properly, and left for an event. We returned hours later to have to call the front desk about it. After a long enough time my husband went down to ask again. An hour later we had maintenance out of our room and were able to shower, then sleep on the hard mattress. In the morning light, I noticed the shower hadn't been scrubbed in a long enough time to have mildew. See pictures. Ew, but it was better than camping so we went to breakfast. Hope it was a bad day for the cook, but another ew. The warmers were up way to high and the eggs sat in water. The sausages were not browned, but gray, and also dripping wet. The jalapeño souffle was dry but edible. Green fruit (and we were there early) No water in sight. After we threw away our plates, we found a water dispenser by the front door. Back in the room, packing up, opened the curtains to full daylight, and the attached pictures were what I found. Worn out furniture, terribly cracked headboard, which can't be sanitary. The walls had smudges, dirt and cracks. The floor grout visibly dirty. I'm going home to shower again. We needed this location, unfortunately, we won't go back. This hotel is amazing! It's really quiet, clean and the breakfast is plentiful and filling! The Keurig in the room worked amazingly (had to get cream and raw sugar from downstairs). The staff gave us everything we needed including extra blankets and towels. There was some minor wear and tear in the shower but it was a great experience with good water pressure and temperature. As advertised this is a 3-star hotel and no more. The room was adequately clean but could have been better. The room is a strange layout with a seating area doubling as a sofa bed but with no view of the TV. The 2 queen beds are so close to the wall at the foot of the bed that you have to turn your suitcase and shimmy in to the closet to hang clothing. That closet has a single dim bulb- so difficult to see your items. The bathroom wallpaper was peeling and the lighting is dim. I was charged for parking which I didn't need or use and they quickly reversed it. The breakfast was the typical hotel not appetizing spread. Checked it out but didn't partake. So....adequate. Courtyard by Marriott is in a Great Flagstaff location for our needs. Well equipped fitness center, and the pool is well maintained and kept at a comfortable temperature. The property is laid out a bit weird which requires a lot of extra time to get to you room due to the elevator locations, but you find your way eventually. Front desk staff is friendly and efficient, and got us checked in to our rooms quickly - and early as we arrived before check-in time. Just a short walk down the hill to several restaurants: Olive Garden, Freddy's Hamburgers: Red Lobster and Dennys. There is also a Chevron Food Mart for quickie necessary snacks if you want to save a few bucks from the hotel snack store. They have a Grille / Starbucks, but they have very limited hours, and I was never able to give them a try as my alive hours were opposite as theirs. I'd define stay here again, and happy to recommend it to anyone needing a comfortable stay in this area. read more

Overall this place was ok, but when it comes to fees they did NOT mention a lot. We brought our pup with us and notified them ahead of time and we were never told about a 75$ pet fee, which we gladly pay, the issue I have is that nobody mentioned it at check in, at checkout or any other time in the booking process. That feels scammy to me. Then THEY CHARGE FOR PARKING!!! How tacky is that! Of course I have to park there. Be FFR. Put it in the main cost of the room, don't charge me for it after OR at-least tell me about it when I show up and you ask if we have a vehicle! And if you're going to have fees billed to my card, tell me what they're for ahead of time. Don't make me have to call and find out. And if you're going to be that expensive, and tack on extra fees ATLEAST be clean. There was thick caked on dust in places, black stuff in the shower and it smelled funny. Oh yah and since I'm on one, the beds were super uncomfortable, the couch in the room was uncomfortable and even the pillows were like someone put two cotton balls in a tube sock. The elevators were shady, clunky and rough & with buttons missing. And the water pressure was terrible. I wouldn't have left this review had they been up front about the fees, that really was the straw that broke the camels back, but man did this feel good. read more

This is your standard SpringHill Suites. All of the rooms are studio suites and are spacious enough. I always like the West Elm trundle bed. There is a small fitness center and pool. Internet and parking are free while pets are welcomed for a fee. Enjoy a free breakfast each morning. It is nothing special, but there are some hot items - eggs and some sort of protein - and continental items. A SpringHill Suites is a SpringHill Suites. It is nothing fancy, but it works. The location is super convenient though. This SpringHill Suites is right off of the highway and next to Northern Arizona University. Downtown Flagstaff is only a few miles away. It is a good place to stay at whether are you going to be spending time in Flagstaff or whether you are passing through town. read more

The pee stains around the toilet, the toilet running on and off all night, the moldy shower that leaks all over the bathroom, the multiple long hairs floating around the room, the list goes on really made for a less than pleasant experience. So we are a die hard Holiday InnExpress traveling family but when SpringHill Suites came in a lot cheaper and with bigger rooms than the HolidayInn, we took a chance and boy were we surprised. The room was crazy accommodating and had a freaking walk-in closet to boot. Now we only stayed one day but I was literally planning a way to get another day at SpringHill. Alyssa got us checked in quick and we had an option of 1st or 4th floor, we took the first and was pleasantly surprised when we were 25 steps from our parking spot to the room (103). It made for easy smoke breaks and loading. And they have a cute little doggy run too. All amenities were clean and available to guests. Great surroundings too. I think there were dorms adjacent to the building because I got an ear full of teen spirit. Overall, will definitely be staying here again when we hit Route66 in the future. Thank you read more

Just about the same as all the other spring hill suites. The location is easy access to the edge of town, a five minute drive from all the stuff "downtown" and around. The location makes life easy. Parking isn't the best, if you show up late the lot in front is small and you'll have to park in the back. There is an ice machine on every floor at the elevator bank. Spent the last 5 days 4 nights here for my anniversary. Enjoyed everything about this place. My wife check how clean the room was and it passed the test. Mind you the couch was dirty but we covered it with a sheet. The bed was comfortable, in my opinion! I would say, the thing that made my stay great is the breakfast employee name Michelle, oh my goodness she's such a sweet heart. I told her the to go bag they were giving out has to much sugary items. She went out of her way to make sure I got something to eat, we went to the kitchen and open a brand new oatmeal box and gave me and my wife some, plus some walnuts. Thank you Michelle!!! The reason we stayed here was so we could charge our Tesla while we settled in for the night. The chargers are in the parking lot. First thing. I have a friends and family discount. It wouldn't let me apply online so I was told to do so when I check in. The girl refused to add it. Told me to go sit down and try again. And I said well. Am I going to lose my room? She said no. We have plenty. I said online it says you don't. She said that's wrong. The parking lots are full. So I said screw it and just paid the full price. Then she puts me and my husband in a handicap room. WE ARE NOT HANDICAPPED! someone else who is or the two elderly people before us could have used it. I should have just changed rooms but we were so tired I didn't. This morning my husband runs the shower and with the handicap room there isn't a tub it's just the floor with a drain. Okay fine. But who ever did this didn't think about it and it doesn't flow to the drain. It's going all the way to the sink. My husband slipped and fell. We have to put towels down. Now I'm here needing to take a shower and I need to blow dry my hair... I don't want to be standing in water while doing so. NOT SAFE. we went down stairs to let someone know. And he just said oh okay. That's it's. My husband had to ask for a card for a massager that's not even here yet. Then the guy said well I can move you for the rest of your stay. I'm only staying for another two hours. Also. The room is so large. And such a small air conditioner it was freaking hot the whole time. I just want my money back! Won't be staying here again. Not the worst, but not good. First room we got the carpet was soaked. Almost like from a bathroom flood. We called and they gave us a new room immediately, but with no help from the hotel. We requested daily housekeeping and it was confirmed, but we didn't get it. Bathroom door situation was really weird. Sliding door, but no individual door for toilet shower giving less privacy. Closet is also in the bathroom. Tv placement is in a strange place as well. Not very viewable from one of the beds. Not sure if the entire hotel ran out of hot water, but we did. No hot water for showering. Breakfast was okay for complimentary. We really likes the concept of having a suite with a small apt size kitchen. This is the third springhill we have stayed at this week... This isn't going to be your 5-star experience hotel but this is a completely acceptable hotel. Perfect for a night or two with a group or possibly longer if you're flying solo. The room was comfy. The breakfast is nice. I particularly loved the bathroom in our room. Usually, privacy is an issue when it comes to hotel bathrooms. With this hotel, I felt that it was close to the beds/general area while still having enough walls/layers to provide privacy. This is your basic hotel. It might not be a place you want to stay for a week but it's easily doable for a night or two. Being in Flagstaff an around the Ponderosa pines, I wish the view would've been a little bit better from the window. The last thing to note would be the location. I wasn't sure about everything that was around me but there seemed to be immediate things to do in all directions. Walking to nearby restaurants or department stores wouldn't be out of the question if you didn't want to jump back in your car after a long drive. read more

Definitely not the best Springhill Suites I've come across, but it did the job. Check-in was a breeze. Staff was very friendly. The lobby and elevators were an absolute mess - it looked like a pack of wet animals had just slithered across the floors. I'm not sure what happened, maybe some kids from the pool? I don't know, but it should've been cleaned up. The room itself was clean. I think some of the fixtures and furniture need a refresh, but other than that, no issues. Hotel is nice. They clean rooms every second day of your stay. My main issue is with there included breakfast. There are only two hot items and they're the same everyday. Scrambled eggs and very lame looking and not very tasty sausage patties with no potatoes. I would have expected more from a Marriott establishment. read more

We decided to take a road trip to Arizona and start the first part of our trip at the Grand Canyon. After we spent a few hours there, we decided to check into our hotel located in beautiful Flagstaff. The Springhill Suites by Marriott hotel in Flagstaff was not too far from the Grand Canyon and was centrally located close to other destinations during our stay in Northern Arizona. The hotel is nestled amongst some beautiful trees on a corner lot. As we entered the parking area, we noticed plenty of spaces available. Upon entering the lobby, we were greeted by the staff immediately and asked how they could be of service. We needed a cart to bring our luggage up to our room and there were some free towards the front of the lobby. After the seamless process of checking in, we loaded all of our luggage onto the cart and headed to our room on the third floor. To our surprise, the room we had was near the elevator making coming and going easy. Our room was perfect for four people staying for a couple of nights offering all the amenities needed. My wife was a bit stressed that first evening due to losing her phone during the first day. She decided to take a breather to call a family member, from our daughter's phone, and stepped just outside of our room to discuss the trip so far. A staff member was walking by and noticed the stress in my wife's voice as she paced in a short section of the hallway. The staff member asked if everything was alright. My wife told her about what she was dealing with and that we were visiting during our anniversary. She said she just needed to vent and that she was okay. The woman then continued on after making sure my wife was going to be fine. An hour or so later, we were all in our room relaxing and we hear a knock at the door. After a few questions asking ourselves if we requested extra towels or were expecting anyone, we opened the door to find a nice little bag with a card and two small bottles of wine inside. There was no one in the hallway when we looked. The card was signed by the manager and staff on duty in offering us warm wishes for our anniversary! When we headed down the next morning for a drive to the Barringer Crater, we thanked the manager, that had been the one who approached my wife the previous evening, as well as the staff for the thoughtful gift and card. It made our trip extra special knowing that someone took the time to listen and made such an effort to cheer us up. Waking up to depart the next morning, we found that it had snowed in the evening and that our vehicle was covered in about an inch of it. We didn't come prepared with an ice scraper as we live in Southern California. The hotel manager was offering an ice scraper to use to hotel guests who were caught unprepared as we were. After cleaning off the car, a snow ball fight between us all, we loaded up our car and checked out of the hotel. We thanked the staff yet again for making outrage trip even more special than we could have imagined and headed on our way to Sedona. If you plan on visiting Flagstaff and need a nice place to stay that won't break the bank, I highly recommend Springhill Suites! From the clean, spacious rooms, wonderful breakfast selections, indoor pool and endearing staff members, you cannot go wrong with your stay! This hotel is within walking distance of many restaurants and not far of a drive to the old town side of Flagstaff or Northern Arizona University. Regards, Jason read more

Disappointments from the get-go. Upon long day of travel, ordered one glass of house Chardonnay from lobby bar... was shocked to see the bill was $22! (House wine in Flagstaff, not top of the line in NYC!) Next, we were disturbed all throughout the night by constant equipment noises and/or maintenance issues of some kind above our room... it was loud! They don't offer guests free self-serve morning coffee in lobby. And lastly, one of the factors for choosing the hotel was guest laundry services. I got up to get our laundry done before checkout and guess what... the washing machine was out of order. :( The bed/room was comfortable however the overall experience was a disappointment. read more

The customer service was really great we had plenty of space all the workers were helping us and saying good morning and despite COVID the food was good, it was very spacious in the lobby and the gym and the pool was amazing. Nobody was noisy past 10 and everybody was nice definitely recommend, they were across the street from plenty of restaurants and gas stations read more
