This should be a 3 1/2 star! I had a really good lunch here! This restaurant is funky and fun, decorated with lots of cool stuff on the walls. I started off with a Malibu Baybreeze and we both ordered chicken fajitas for our entrées. The fajitas were sizzling, nicely spiced and really tasty. They arrived with a "tray of wonder" consisting of cheese,salsa, sour cream, avocado and tortillas. The chicken was extremely tender and juicy, unlike most fajitas. First when you go inside it's kind of cramped more so a place for regulars more than anything else. So me and my partner opted to sit outside to have some space. The waitress was nice enough and that's all I really want to comment on that. Now to the food I really enjoyed the sweet potato fries my five year old enjoyed and he's a very picky eater. The buffalo wings were okay I just think they were cooked a little too long which made it hard to eat. The garlic parm was nothing I ever expected tough to eat wasn't well seasoned . The Drinks is what saved it for me they were unbelievable I had to get two more. They are known for their wings so of course I ordered the Jack Daniel's spicy bbq wings and they were delicious. I thought it was going to be average but it was beyond average. We also ordered the sliders and the meat was thick, juicy and nicely seasoned. I guess the only reason for four stars is the lack of tabasco, el yucateco, louisiana hot sauce, etc. If you are like us, we need one of these to add some added heat to fries, tots, in a bloody mary, etc. We normally bring our own, but today I forgot it. So, while petty, it's important. I know why it's not there, COVID, but it's important to us and since a salt pepper shaker can come to the table, please add this option even if hidden behind the bar. I have a very love hate relationship with Brickhouse. The love- Brickhouse is about a minute walk from my apartment so I do find myself going here quite a bit. Mostly during the day, or a weekday night, the Thursday, Friday Saturday night scene is a whole different ballgame that I just can't handle. But, a nice beer and some food around 3pm on a Sunday (as long as its not football season) this place is actually great. Although known for their beer and drink specials (3 for 1 miller lite buckets, 2 for 1 absolute drinks, pitchers of beer, etc) I usually come for the great craft beer selection. They have some amazing IPAs from Singlecut, Sloop, and some other local breweries that I just love. Also the food is damn cheap, huge portions and literally I think the food runner is the hardest working service employee in all the area. My food has always arrived so quick after ordering and its HOT. The hate- Okay, not their fault, but the typical crowd here isn't much my scene. Its pretty young, rowdy, loud, etc, especially if its a game day or later in the night. Also, the smoking on the front area, I like having a beer outside on a nice day especially because there are TVs out there, but it tuns into a butt hut out front, like, don't you have to be 30 feet away from a restaurant to smoke outside? Maybe I'm wrong on this, but still the smoke sometimes lingers inside an that just drives me insane. The bar service sometimes is a bit lacking, the bartenders are distracted on their phones or chatting with their friends/taking shots with them rather than actually serving customers... anyway, I think if you're a burger and beer lover (my guy swears by how delicious their burger is) then this is a go to spot for you. And depending on what scene you're looking for choose the day or night, because it makes this a whole different experience depending on the time of day. read more

My friends and I visited your bar Saturday night 12/21. My friend bought 2 rounds of drinks, spending over $200. The lights came on at 1:30 for last call, at 1:40 I walked to the bathroom but was rudely interrupted by a large bald man with a beard in a camo T-shirt. He spread his arms and pushed me back, telling me bathrooms were closed. When I asked him why?, last call is now and I'm just using the bathroom and leaving... he became unnecessarily aggressive, pushed me, cursed, yelled and called me derogatory names. I am appalled, afraid and insulted by his behavior and physical assault. I called the Stamford PD to visit the bar and evaluate him as I fear he acted this way attacking multiple women and witnessed him strike another female in the nose as I was leaving. You need to take action to remove this man from your establishment and press charges of assault on your customers. Stamford PD will be in touch. read more

They have a 2 for 1 Smirnoff deal. They typically charge 11$ for a Smirnoff drink which is cool, a little pricy for smirnoff but not ungodly. I got the bill during their Monday special and it was $14. Not a ton of money, but very deceiving of a restaurant to do this. Why up the price and call it a special? It's not a special. I asked the girl Daly about it and she started getting all pissy at me and shouting. I told her it was a little messed up to say it was a deal and then charge more. They also have some outdoor spots out front. Frankie is one of the bartenders and she is sweet and good at making drinks. other drinks run you about 10-12 bucks but they give you a nice size pint glass full of alcohol goodness.
