Two of the things I like about breweries nowadays is that there's (usually) a good food+cocktail menu- and you don't even need to drink beer. I either read about Marlowe's on Hoyt Ave in Mamaroneck in my Westchester Magazine while living in White Plains or it was somehow swirling on Yelp. In any case, the food caught my attention and mayyyybe their only 2 cocktail offerings. Plus it was wonderful coming to Westchester after living in the county for 22 years and meeting my friend Jason M. over laughs, life and of course, gossip. With two entrances leading up to their sit down area and large bar, we decided on hi-tops to somehow get a nice scope of Marlowe's- especially an eye-catching floral black and white wall on one side. The food menu is tempting and fierce and when the manager(?) repeatedly told us the cook makes tasty food- that was good sign. The Eggplant chips with a hot honey drizzle my friend and I shared were on thick side- but good. Somehow, I felt these would be on the thin side like the ones he introduced me to at Polpettina in Eastchester. My Portabella taco with corn, cauliflower+other veg was delicious. So was my shrimp taco with red cabbage, cilantro+other veg. Being that I'm not a fan of creamy sauces on some foods, I didn't even mind the crema on each of my tacos. Needless to say, both my tacos were filled to the brim with substance. My only qualm is that one tortilla was used and didn't hold much. Because of the single ply, I was in a bit of a mess- so a second tortilla would be perfect for added strength. Service was fantastic though. Since my friend and I aren't beer drinkers, there was no pressure to drink it.

Marlowe Artisanal Ales is a craft brewery that opened in North Haven, Connecticut in 2019. It was founded by brewer Zac Ross. After several years experience at breweries like Voodoo Brewing and Kent Falls Brewing, Ross accepted a position as a head brewer at Twelve Percent Beer Project in North Haven. He only agreed to take the job if he could simultaneously launch his own brand. He named it "Marlowe" after his maternal grandfather. In October 2022, Marlowe opened as a brick & mortar brewpub in Nyack (NY). Unfortunately it closed six months later due to irreconcilable differences with the landlords. When a location formerly home to Decadent Ales became available in Mamaroneck in 2023, Brian Barclay of Barclay Brewing (another gypsy brewing operation that had worked out of Twelve Percent) jumped at the chance to create his own brewery collective and invited Ross to come on board as a partner. The partnership was dubbed the "New York Craft Coalition" and opened August 2023. In addition to their own brands' beers, Barclay and Ross collaborated on new ones. The union was short-lived, however, with Barclay Brewing moving out of the space just eight months later. Marlowe Artisanal Ales took over the whole space and had their 'Grand Re-Re-Re-Opening' in April 2024. My sons and I recently visited Marlowe Artisanal Ales for lunch. I had previously visited the space when it was still New York Craft Coalition (and even earlier when it was still Decadent Ales). After looking over the menu, my sons ordered and shared the "Basket of Fingers" (chicken fingers, fries, choice of dipping sauce), I had the "Burger Special" (Koji aged beef patty, mushrooms, onions, pepper jack cheese, apple smoked bacon, garlic aioli), and we all shared the "Eggplant Chips" (thinly sliced and fried eggplant drizzled with spicy honey). Everything was fantastic! To wash everything down, I had a draught pours of "While We Wait" (English-style Pub Ale), "Ghost Signatures: Nelson" (New England IPA), and a can pour of "Psychic Cyberwolf 3005" (Imperial Pastry Stout collaboration with Timber Ales). The latter was my favorite! I really enjoyed my visit to Marlowe Artisanal Ales and I hope to return!!

Definitely work the trek to Westchester/mamaroneck! The food was amazing and the outdoor space is perfect for large groups with pets!

Marlowe Artisianal Ales had me briefly concerned if they went out of business or if they went distribution only. The location in Nyack, New York is closed. But I discovered a location in Mamaroneck. I was in luck and I was able to obtain one of their beers after all! Hooray! The beer that I had from this brewery was the William, a New England IPA. It's not too different than many New England IPA's out in this part of the country but was fun and enjoyable all of the same. Flavor highlights with this lovely beer is citrus and a clean snap which I found to my liking in the end. Glad I got to try this brewery and found out that they still existed!

My family and I came on a weekend afternoon. I enjoyed a bunch of the beers though was a little surprised by the size of the stout pours. They were delicious, but the price seemed a bit steep for the size. That being said, this spot has some of the best beer in the area, so I'm willing to pay it occasionally. The vibe is very thoughtful and sleek. I love the hanging plants. There are a few different seating options, which is handy for kids. Clean bathrooms! There is a short kids menu, which satiated the kiddos. The regular menu was also enticing. The Koji and Nashville hot chicken sandwiches were good, but I wish they had come with a side given the price ($16). (The hot chicken could have been a smidgen less crunchy.) You will order your food and give your phone number, and then you get texted to pick-up your food at the window when it's ready. There are board games and crayons. The music was mostly old-school hip hop, which worked for the vibe but might not have been the best for kids' ears. Oops. There's a small outdoor space near the entrance, which will be nice in the warmer months. So glad NYCC is here. I'll definitely be back.

So excited for this place! I stopped by with a few friends. We were looking for new spots in the area with beer and food option. We were all glad that we stopped by. The NYCC is a combination of Marlowe Ales and Barclay Brewing. They offer beer brewed by both places and they have a kitchen with lots of food options including burgers, sandwiches, tacos, wings, kids' options, etc. I tried William, Vibrations and Radius. I usually tend to order IPAs and I loved each of these. The smallest option was 4 ozs. for $4/5. These were large pours. I go to a lot of breweries, and I thought for small pours they give you lots of beer. I'd definitely come back here to try more of their food options. I'm looking forward to trying more of their beer, too. The space is more upscale than the previous space; and there is outdoor seating as well. The Nutella empanadas were also incredible. We got two orders. I recommend stopping by here!

So this is going to be a review for those that aren't "beer" drinkers. The atmosphere was lovely, the garage door was opened and we sat at the table in front of the big open door so we had the pleasure of having both shade and sun while being inside. We were traveling for hockey and came in with a bigger group (8) with three separate orders among us. My party consisted of two and we ordered the Street Chicken Taco with fries, the Torn Hearts Salad and another fry. We ended up missing the two fries we ordered initially but they made them for us right away and added an extra Street Chicken Taco. I usually take photos of the food we order but with a large group, I didn't do that this time around. The food was good and flavorful! My daughter loved the Street Chicken Taco. And, ladies, the bathroom was clean and had a real candle burning to make it that much more tolerable (because let's be real, who enjoys a trip to a public restroom)! The service is a "serve yourself" style where you order at the bar area and then you are sent a a text message when the food is ready. When you receive the text message indicating that your food is ready, you go up to the window and get the food and bring it back to your seat. When you are finished, you bring your dishes to the window and put them in the bucket. Overall it was a good experience and will return if we are in the area.

NYCC did a beautiful job making over the space into what it is now. The beers are excellent, lots of crowd pleasers and more interesting stuff for the connoisseurs. The food has been great so far, great kids selection too. Lots of games to play if you're into board games. Service is good too, only thing I don't love is you have to pickup food at the window. I wish they served the food to your table. Another thing - their coffee beans are fantastic, took a bag home and everyone enjoyed!

This is the table after they cleaned it

Disgusting experience and poor customer service. Cake in on Sunday afternoon and they had a band playing, decent crowd. Tables were dirty and filled with dirty dishes. We asked bartender if anyone can clean it for us as we had a big group. Nasty young girl replied: we don't have anyone to clean tables, if you need it clean it yourself. After the band left we were the only people in the fir a while. Why they don't have people to clean the place and why employees are so rude- who knows. Not going back and not recommending

The trio and their families all live in Greenwich. Collectively, they were all sick of taking their families out to dinner and the bill adding up to hundreds of dollars. They also realized that Greenwich was one of the few towns in Connecticut that didn't have a brewery. The business partners made it their mission to open their own family-friendly brewpub where consumers could get good craft beer as well as quality food that didn't break the bank. When a space previously home to LobsterCraft became available, the partners jumped at the chance to move in. I recently visited Greenwich Brewing Company for the first time. I was heading to a concert nearby, so I thought I would stop in a grab some beers and bites for a pre-show dinner. I noticed right away that GBC has a nautical theme. The logo features an anchor, and the entrance wall features the name of the brewpub spelled out in nautical flags. The place is a little on the smaller side, cozy and inviting; there's seating for about 52 customers. I pulled up a seat at the bar and looked over the menu. Some of the staff informed me that they were celebrating their one-year anniversary and had some menu specials. To drink, I ordered a sampler flight that featured "Day Sailing" (Strawberry Lemonade Sour), "Oktoberfest" (Märzen), "Hop Anchor" (New England IPA), and "Catamaranic" (Hazy Double IPA). My favorite of the flight was the Oktoberfest, and I ordered a full pour afterwards. I also noticed that there were no beer tanks anywhere to be found on the premises. A staff member informed me that all beer is currently brewed off-site. They hope to move to a larger location in the future where brewing can be done in-house. Overall, GBC's beer is ok. It's their food menu, however, where they really shine. I first started off with some delicious "Toasted Pretzel Logs" (w/ Cardinal Red beer cheese sauce & stone ground mustard). Then I finished with the "Hot Honey Chicken" (2 tenders, hot honey drizzle, shredded mustard slaw, pimento cheese, on a roll, served w/ fries). It was phenomenal! My only complaint was that the bun was a little too small; it was no match for those massive tenders. I ended up eating most of it with a knife and fork as it fell apart. That aside, it was a delicious sandwich! If you're looking for an affordable, family-friendly place in Greenwich to grab some good beers and bites, then head to GBC!
