I work in Norwalk and commute from Waterbury, so my schedule can be tough to work around. Right now, they only offer two 6 AM classes per week, and that's really the only thing holding me back. If there were more early morning options, I'd be there all the time. The owner/head coach is one of the biggest reasons this place stands out. Super knowledgeable, down-to-earth, and just genuinely cool as hell. You can tell there's a lot of experience behind the coaching, and the atmosphere reflects that. It's welcoming, authentic, and focused on helping people improve. I'm still trying to figure out how to make it fit into my schedule because that's how much I enjoy training here. If Jonesly expands their early morning class offerings, they'll have a member for life. Highly recommend checking it out.

Everyone is super helpful and patient and awesome to work with. Being able to get some really amazing knowledge from Dana, Chris and everyone else who stops in is incredible. I was a very intimidated at first with the lack of a "beginners" class, but once you get to drilling and learning from these everyone, you'll start picking it up. It's not easy, and you absolutely will be humbled when you're starting, but you just have to keep coming back and learning more. It's 100% worth it. If you're on the fence or just thinking about it, just come on in and try it out.

The adult classes are fun too. If you are new, you don't have to worry about not fitting in or being behind. The coaches will train you separately and you will quickly be with the main group, and the other students will support you, because that's the type of environment the school has. With BJJ, you learn the moves step by step, and at the end, you will understand and learn the final move! It's an extremely well prepared class. All these classes, as often as you want, will make you a well rounded fighter, or just pick Muay Thai or BJJ.

"Should I just move here?" "I should probably go home before my wife gets mad at me for training all day." Seriously though, amazing room. Everyone was super friendly, respectful, and very safe to roll with. The gym is really clean, and the level is high. Different training partners from white to black and ages from young competitor monsters to hobbyist parents. Chazz was the black belt coach that day--welcoming guy and great instruction. You can tell there's a strong culture and attention to detail. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area. Just make sure you check their rules/etiquette beforehand--pretty standard stuff (white gis only from what I saw, trimmed nails, good hygiene, etc.). Will definitely be back next time I'm in town.
