My wife and her family have been life-long customers, and I can now see why: amazing customer service and overall professionalism. I purchased a pair a glasses through them less than a year ago. They had a great selection and were very helpful with navigating it to find the best pair for me. Moreover, they were great with my insurance (VSP) and transparent with what my out-of-pocket would be. Fast-forward to now, my glasses broke through a fluke accident (my toddler). When I took them back to Greenwich Optics they replaced my frames. While they could have charged me for the new frames while I waited for the vendor to refund/credit for the old ones, they instead waived any immediate charges until it was resolved. I am a poor, lower middle class midwesterner lost on the east coast. I have VSP insurance, and live in mamaroneck. I tried larchmont optical and a couple others, but didn't like the frame selection. Also the help was uninterested in helping me. Greenwich optics impressed me, not only their service, friendliness and enthusiasm to listen to me, but prices were reasonable, MUCH cheaper than when I lived in Queens. None of these things did I expect at a greenwich storefront. Their frame selection is not big, but they have picked out a terrific selection of tasteful eyewear, their selection is better than places with twice as many frames. read more

Best Service!!! I have been using Greenwich Optics for years, however, they went over the top for me in 2016. My husband accidentally threw away his favorite Theo's. The excellent, speedy, and friendly customer service here was enough to convince me to leave my very first yelp review. I came in to get a pair of sunglasses fixed and case repaired. The sunglasses were badly bent out of shape and I worried they could not be salvaged; 15 minutes later, I was out of there with a new case and good as new glasses. Fitting contacts is part art, part science and Dr. Bass really takes his time and pores over detail. He has changed my contacts 2x (over 3 years) and I am comfortable, happy and seeing well. After examining my eyes, Dr. Bass really worked to understand how I use my glasses, so that he could present all my options and make suggestions. I decided to abandon progressives, which I had used for a decade, and have mid-distance lenses and distance lenses put into three pairs of frames I already owned (third pair was sunglasses). He adjusted my prescription slightly to accommodate my improving distance vision, so that my new lenses would last longer. I'm very happy with my new glasses, and thrilled to have found Dr. Bass.
