A great big THANK YOU to Patrick Shea, Mike, Christina and all the rest of the team that made this epic night possible. The Beach Club at Lake Ronkonkoma is set up perfectly for live entertainment outside. Beautifully adorned with tropical palms, colorful flowers and spacious dance area. It feel Luxurious. Ava Della Pietra, a local senior here on the Island opened for Phil with her hit "Happy for You". Ava has a beautiful voice and I'm sure we will be seeing her name up in lights soon. He was very interactive with the attendees answering questions between songs and giving us stories of his life as a new Dad. He is charming and charismatic, as well as a talented artist. It definitely needed something. It might just have just been a bad night for the chef. Even though the food did not match the decor the place is still truly a Long Island Gem.

Our original wedding plans were impacted by the pandemic and there were small things that could have been handled better including us having to increase the number of guests in order to reschedule the wedding to 2021. While planning for the event, I would look up reviews intermittently and the negative reviews about the venue did cause me to worry about how things would turnout, but I tried to remain positive. I had also been in touch with Uncle Frank who was the first person we met when we booked, was the person who married us, and was always warm and sweet, so that did help me feel more at ease. From the minute we arrived up until we closed down the venue at the end of the night, everything was beyond my expectations. We had an incredible time, and the staff was great. Food: the appetizers and the cocktail hour station got great reviews from my guests. The bridal attendant and Vickie made sure that there were plenty of appetizers in the bridal suite and were great about making sure that I too, got to enjoy this part of the event. We selected a buffet style dinner. My guests loved the food, even the critical foodie friends and family said the food was excellent. I have to thank Vickie for making sure that I sat and ate, which is why I can also attest to how great the food was. The sausage and peppers were on point, the filet mignon wasn't over cooked, and the chicken francese was one of the best I ever had. Staff: Vickie, the bridal attendant (I forget how to spell her name), Jay, the servers, and Bill the Bartender were all awesome. The staff was helpful to my guests and made sure that everyone was comfortable. Vickie made sure that everything ran smoothly and that I was happy. If I got up and looked like I needed something, either Vickie or the bridal attendant were at my side asking if I needed anything. The actual venue is beautiful and speaks for itself. However, we ultimately went with another venue as this one didn't really fit our aesthetics. We were also worried that it was too tight to accommodate our guest size and the photobooth. It was a little chilly when we visited in the winter since it's near a body of water, so winter brides should keep this in mind. We also saw a fox in the parking lot! Apparently, people at the golf course usually feeds the fox, but in the winter time, no one goes golfing so the fox comes over to the venue looking for food.

The owners are very conscious of there neighbors and you sign a contract stating the noise ordinance fact, trash on grounds and neighboring homes. Its a shame there is not a parking lot to keep the cars off the street but it is what it is. A clean and spacious hall, is it beautiful? No but decorations make anything look good. You can rent one floor or entire building depending on your guest list. We have always rented entire building and in spring/summer you have the back to be outside as well. The required deposit is refunded when you bring keys back the next day. You are required to surface clean up all trash and litter and do a quick sweep. The nice thing is you get the key around 10am the day of your event which makes life easier to drop off all stuff when you get key and decorate then come back to heat food etc after your all dressed and ready! I understand the frustration of the neighbors and very surprised they allowed a Heavy Metal Party..they must have lied because they ask what type of affair and I'm pretty positive they would have said no!!

I've been to, and have had parties at the hall. The owners are a good bunch. People in the area, crying about parking, were probably also aghast to find out there was an airport nearby, when they moved in. They act like Ocean Ave is some nondescript cul de sac, tucked into a pine forest. Newsflash: It's a main drag. The Freedom Hall is Ronkonkoma History, and the way history is being removed as of late, it's nice to have them around.
