My boyfriend and I attended a wedding here on a Friday evening for our friends. It was a beautiful wedding! From start to finish everything was great. The staff was wonderful. Food was delicious! Cocktail hour and dinner...chef kiss! For cocktail hour there were three stations and then a table in the middle. Stations including two different pasta bars and then a carving station. The table in the middle was meats, cheeses, olives, marinated eggplant and some other yummy things. Staff also walked around with more yummyness...cheese balls, spinach artichoke bites, chicken and waffles, bacon wrapped scallops, Caprese bites, cocktail franks, short rib and whipped potatoes...so much! Dinner included choices of chicken, salmon or filet mignon. I had the salmon and it was so good! Our friends also had their own signature drinks which were delish. So the location is very nice but I wouldn't throw a kids party at this place if they were paying me to be there. The location was running an hour behind schedule...there was a line out the door to check In and hand in your covid screening forms and it was raining but no tent. 30 mins into cocktail hour they were pretty much out of food and the people serving you at the stations just left. The staff was miserable, they look like they were doing work release at the end of a prison sentence. Bartenders were slow and unfriendly. The food wasn't good at all. You'd be better off having your wedding at Chuck E. Cheese instead of this place. read more

I just had my wedding here this past Saturday (7/7/18) and I do not have 1 bad thing to say about Timber Point. From the moment I met with Maureen I knew this was the place we were going to be getting married. Everything was FLAWLESS. Maureen answered all of my questions leading up to the event and made sure all of my requests were handled. On the day of we were greeted to an immaculately clean space which was perfectly decorated. The bridal attendant, Brianna, was unbelievable. She made sure every single request of mine was handled immediately and she did it with a sense of urgency and professionalism. Matt the Maitre'D made sure the day of operations went through without a hitch. The food was incredible, we had the chateaubriand, swordfish, and roasted chicken. People are raving that it was the best swordfish they have had in their lives. Excellent service, food, and atmosphere. I would get married here all over again. read more

My friends bridal shower was held here and everyone really enjoyed it. From the moment we went to check out the venue, Maureen was a great help and answered all of our questions so we booked. It's a very cozy and intimate venue. The fireplace adds a nice touch especially for winter events. The food was delicious. The only thing I would change would be the table cloths which did have a lot of threads coming out of them and they were a little wrinkled. Overall, beautiful venue and great food!! read more

Sad to day our Easter brunch was a terrible experience. We ended up leaving after a $1300 bill and ordering Chinese food. We were a party Of 22... we were stuck in the corner of three forgotten sunken room... the table they gave us barely fit 20 my dad and I stood the whole time to eat. Waitress did not know what wine was... The food was average... well the little I ate do to having to stand. There were piled up plates on our tables that were dirty and were not taken away . Getting out of the room we were in was terrible constantly crowded my mother fell going up the stairs with her 2 grand daughters in tow. Eater bunny was dirty I didn't even want my children to touch him .... overall a terrible experience. Definately not worth wasting a holiday here and spending over $60 a head after tip and gratuity. read more

The location is beautiful but that was the only good thing they had going for them! This was the most disorganized, chaotic place, and unfriendly staff I've encountered at a wedding. The venue was running behind schedule by close to an hour and had us all sit in the cocktail room with nothing to drink- not even water. One bartender ( the older man with the face shield) was extremely rude- horrible service and very unfriendly. The cocktail hour was disappointing to say the least.... barely enough food and not enough seating for everyone to actually sit and eat. The lady at the pasta station barely wanted to give a spoonful of pasta - very stingy with the food! The food wasn't even good- The best thing about the cocktail hour was the carving station. Bathrooms could use a makeover but that would be overlooked if it was a better experience. When dinner was served- one dish at a time was brought out by 8 staff members- making it take forever. Usually they bring a tray of food and this moves much faster. By the time my table was finished eating some tables were just getting their food. Serving dinner took over 30 mins and the later served people got their dinner at the cake was being cut. The prime rib was not bad. Very disorganized and unprofessional! I would never recommend this venue unless you're looking for a memorable experience that's very negative! read more

This is strictly a rating on Beach Bum Monday's. Its a shame I can only give this 2 stars mad because the atmosphere, band and DJ are all fantastic. But the guy on the Mic (I think his name is Steve) is loud, obnoxious and annoying. Off the Mic he is also rude, mean spirited, and has a "self importance". If they got rid of "Steve", this would be a 5 out of 5 and out of everyone I talked to- the crowd would double. read more

We came here for a wedding. The golf course grounds are nice. The indoor decor is in need of a refresher. Surprisingly the staff was not good at all. The bartenders were very rude, inefficient and sloppy. They poured more alcohol on the bar than in the glass. The food was terrible, all fried items were super oily, many items were missing the appropriate condiments. Dinner choice included filet mignon but not a single person was asked what temperature they wanted it served at. I wouldn't recommend this location for anything other than golf. read more

I got married here summer of 2016 and it was amazing! The planning process was so easy and the woman Maureen I worked with was very accommodating and helpful. On the day of everything was perfect. My sister and I are both engaged and we both attended a bridal showcase here. The staff members were super helpful, the building and grounds were beautiful, and it was the only (and we went to many) bridal showcase that we attended that served TONS of food. Waitstaff frequented the entire venue serving appetizers and pastries throughout the event. Timber point put out a spread of food as if an actual wedding was going on. Not only did the venue serve hot and cold food, they also served wine, beer and some non alcoholic drinks. Every vendor that attended the showcase handed out something besides their business cards. This was the first time we left a bridal showcase feeling like we weren't "pushed" to signup for anything. We were able to view the venue and the vendors tables without any high pressure sales. We each left the showcase with some information packets, a few pens, key chains, hot pretzels, soda, chocolate truffles, cake pops, two slices of red velvet cake from two different bakeries, a compact mirror, and a dozen flowers. My sister left the showcase with all of the above, plus she secured her wedding venue. I will be sure to update this review in 2018, after my sisters wedding! read more

I had my reception at Timber Point 7 years ago and recently visited with my husband and our children. Let me start by setting the tone, I had been to weddings at almost every catering hall on Long Island and had a very critical eye when it came to choosing a location for my own reception. Over the top gaudy is not my taste, and that is big on Long Island. We were looking for an elegant spot but were frustrated by many of the halls that just looked cheap and out of a Sopranos episode. Timber Point my husband and I had stumbled upon without any prior knowledge, and once we visited we absolutely loved it. If you are going for a classic, refined aesthetic, overlooking the Great South Bay with character and charm on the south shore (hard to find) this is an absolute must see. Classic white fireplaces, moldings and box wainscoting in the entry, updated decor aligned with the architecture of the building. The food is by Lessing's and we were able to taste the entrees prior to the wedding (steak was delicious). The staff was excellent including Tio and we honestly had the most amazing day. Anytime we are in the area we make a point to drive by or pop in and I am always impressed with how truly spectacular this location is. They only cater one party at a time which was a big deal because I had worked in multiple catering facilities in high school as a waitress and bridal attendant. I have seen how large catering halls can rush through parties and not pay attention to the details (as they should for the prices couples pay). A+ nothing but wonderful things to say! read more

Son's wedding was held earlier this month and in a word - PERFECT. All staff members that we encountered went out of their way to make us and our guests feel welcome and taken care of. Our day of coordinator, Jake was nothing short of EXCELLENT. The food was spot on and everything went off without a hitch. I cannot tell you how many of our guests wrote and called to tell us of the great and memorable time they had at the wedding. Excellent wedding venue. The setting is a mansion on a beautiful golf course facing The Great South Bay. The service is extraordinary. The cocktail hour was in a room adjacent to the main dining area. In warmer weather there is an outside terrace. The wait staff were attentive to the bride and groom, their families and guests. The main courses were "stations" which were open all evening. Each station had different fare with accompanying sides. The food was delicious! I would highly recommend Timberpoint for a wedding or any special event. read more

My husband and I were married at The Mansion at Timber Point on 10/29/16. Our initial meeting with Maureen was different from every other venue appointment that we had attended. She immediately put us at ease, answered all of our questions thoroughly, and pretty much read our minds. My husband and I quickly developed an inside joke that Maureen was the best salesperson who had ever lived, and we believe that to this day. She was responsive, reassuring, and flexible throughout all of our planning. Maureen also made it a point to check in with us when we arrived at the venue for our wedding. She was consistently thoughtful, warm, and gracious! Timber Point was such a beautiful venue that offered us so many options at a reasonable price. We had the time of our lives there during our wedding ceremony and reception, thanks to the incredible staff. Our maître d', Julio, quickly repaired a groomsman's shoes when they pretty much imploded just minutes before the ceremony. My mother made multiple comments about how our bridal attendant, Nicolette, flawlessly managed all the details. I would recommend this venue to anyone, but I reserve my highest recommendation for the staff. They truly gave us a beautiful wedding that we will remember always. read more
