Then we ordered rolls which were $6 for four rolls. We were a party of 5 and ask for another one we would pay and she wouldn't add an additional roll after spending $500. Now for dinner we had the Lobster Roll (warm) it was amazing. Branzino was fresh but on drier side. Burger was supposed to be medium rare and it wasn't at all. Steak was supposed to be cooked the same way but was cooked medium plus instead of medium rare. Waitress came over and said it was perfect. Maybe for her but not for someone who eats it rare. She made him feel awkward about it and ate it anyway because he was hungry. The olive oil lemon cake was more like a cupcake wasn't wowed by it. Best thing was the lava cake it was the perfect way to end the night.

We brought along some of our own decorations to make it unique to us, like a banner, florals, and seashells to fit our theme. You have so much room for creativity and personalization at this venue! For a party in warm weather the outside is just as pretty. There is a gazebo, perfect for photo opportunities. The grass is well kept and gives a stunning view for enjoying cocktail hour outside. They were told ahead of time they would be accommodated, but the option that was provided was steamed, unseasoned, vegetables over white rice. They didn't bother eating it, considering how bland the plate was. It feels a bit misleading to say you offer a vegetarian option, when that option is as bare bones as it gets. I'd be worried about the options if the diet restrictions were any more serious than that. My significant other also wound up with a stain on her dress simply from sitting on the white vinyl chairs that they provided for the ceremony. Lastly, the practice green is right near where they host their outdoor ceremonies, but they don't restrict any access to using it while the ceremony is going on, which was a bit distracting as there were some golfers practicing their short game while our friends are saying their "I dos".

They started before our ceremony, played during our ceremony, and kept playing after. This is no fault of the Mansion because they don't own nor are they affiliated with the course, but it was a little distracting, especially when some people heard a ball being hit during a silent part of the ceremony & also when we were walking around trying to take photos. That being said, the golfers were quiet & respectful and otherwise weren't a problem at all. We also paid the donation to the Maritime Museum to use the dock for photos, it was a great, fun setting! We went with all outside vendors, but none of them seemed to have any issues with anything- the ceremony, cocktail hour & reception all went smoothly. We also had a vintage photobooth and they set up/took down & ran with plenty of space. What was nice was that I also didn't have to worry about having anyone in our wedding party hold onto & hand out all of the vendors' money/tips, Steve took care of all of that for us, which was a huge relief. I would absolutely recommend the Mansion at West Sayville for a wedding or any other event! The space, both inside & out, was beautiful and everything went according to plan & on time. We also loved the fact that the dance floor is somewhat separated from the dining room, but at the same time, it doesn't feel like you're in a completely separate space. There are 2 large doorways & large windows to separate the spaces, so you can still see just about everything, but not have to be out there if you don't want to be or can't.
