I ordered a cheeseburger, plain hotdog and a coke everything was scrumptious. I not a big fan of using a kiosk to order off of but I figured it out and the meal was prepared with no issues. They have lots of seating and parking. Facility was clean. Nice addition was after you got done eating and wanted a dessert Sarah's ice cream is next door. I would definitely eat here again.

Still my favorite place. Food is always delicious and just the right amount of fulfilling. Service is always fast and courteous. Im obsessed with sitting outside and having love music. Just wish the chairs were comfier outside or that i had something in my car to sit on with the chairs. My poor toosh hurt.

Ordered the Double on Wheels Burger and it was delicious! I would like to see an option for just plain fries like others have said. The food quality was very good though!

The food was nothing special, but the atmosphere is great. The garage fries were the best part--they're a combo of sweet potato fries, crinkle cut fries, curly fries, and tater tots. The Beyond burger was a bit under cooked and the presentation wasn't wonderful. This food felt like it's just a small step up from fast food, but I'd still definitely go back. We all enjoyed ourselves and ate outside at a shaded picnic table.

Now I get to enjoy these dogs and make new memories with my daughter. This was the first time I brought her out to this location. She's a plain Jane and just gets a bacon and cheese dog with fries. I normally go with the two dog special, one with chili and onions and one without. The whole onion on each dog is just too much for me. So this way I scrape half off right onto the other dog. I will always be a fan and come back as long as they are around.

It was a rainy afternoon, bordering on the evening, and we were returning back to Hanover after a…read moretrip halfway across the state. We knew that going home was going to result in TV dinners coming out of the freezer, so we opted to try something new in town (for us). We figured that a hot dog place that has been around for over a hundred years would be a good bet. We were wrong. Pulling up to the place, it met our expectations... building that has been around for a couple of decades, lots of glass windows to see out of, etc. I know we weren't at the original downtown location, but this one had been there for decades and we figured it used the original recipe that made it so famous, so we would be good to go. Walking inside, we were met with... well, low-key chaos is a reasonable word for what we saw. One of the wait staff said we could sit anywhere, but that proved to be a bit of a challenge as most of the tables were filthy, covered in onion debris and other condiments. The floor, of course, was also covered in the same debris. We would soon find out why. After having found (and wiped down to remove some of the filth) a table, our wait staff came up and provided us with menus. The menu isn't all that big, so it didn't take long to figure out what we hoped would be a good meal. My mother went for a simple hot wiener with the onions and chili sauce (no mustard, we knew it was going to be yellow mustard), and I went with the wiener special, one hotdog and one burger. We didn't have to wait that long for the food to come out. It was when the food arrived at our table that we finally understood exactly why the tables and floor were such a disaster. I am quite sure I have never seen that much diced onion placed on a single hotdog. Both of our plates were simply smothered in the onions and chili sauce that comes with these things, to the point where we couldn't really see the bun or hotdog underneath it all. It was definitely a fork and knife kind of meal, because picking something like this up in your hands was an invitation to disaster and the primary motivator for all of the onions on the floor. So I cut a bit out of the mound... found a bit of hotdog and bun, and tasted it. This is where the sadness and despair truly set in. The bun was just a soggy white bread bun that you can get an 8 pack of for 99 cents at Walmart. OK, I can go with that, part of the charm and all, except it was buried underneath all that onion and chili and it really was just a complete soggy mess by the time it got to our table. I could have let that pass... if it weren't for the hotdog itself. I don't know where they get their hotdogs, but they need to change suppliers, and fast. The casing for these hotdogs was hard and rubbery, not from overcooking, just from their production method in the first place. Once I got through the casing, the meat contained within was some of the most flavorless meat I have ever had in any sort of sausage. I would eat a vegetarian hotdog over this any day. The onions were just too much... perhaps if they had been cooked through instead of placed on there raw they would have been nice, but as it was it was just not a good thing. Combine that with a chili sauce that also had next to no flavor, and I was not in happy town at all. So... combine a place that is filthy with food that is flavorless and has the texture of a bouncy rubber ball, and I'm sorry but one star is all you are going to get. I almost never write one-star reviews, and I don't give that rating lightly. This is not to say that the staff were bad, however. They were pleasant, took care of our orders, and handled us just fine. I did wonder how the breakfast at this place would be, but after experiencing the dinner fare, there is little chance of my returning to try the breakfast.

I believe I found it at Big Ray's. My two dogs were just as yummy as I expected, but I could only eat one hot dog because I had to get the fresh-cut, homemade French fries. Very homey feel with friendly service. Al fresco dining is available when the weather is nice. The staff was very friendly, and I can attest that the food is great.

The only real question: Would Big Ray's chili dog treat me kindly? (Important considerations were made.) We arrived around 5:30pm on a chilly January Friday and quickly realized we were not alone in this brilliant decision. The dining room was already about ¾ full, which I take as an excellent sign when evaluating burger-and-dog establishments. After a quick menu scan, I locked in my order: a ¼-lb beef hot dog with chili, mustard, and onions ($4.99) plus a Diet Pepsi (because balance). Adventure Buddy went all in with the Honey Butter Chicken Club ($8.59) and an order of fried pickles ($4.99), washed down with an orange Fanta. Total damage? Under $27. Date night win already. The food came out fast and piping hot, which is exactly what you want when you're this hungry. My chili dog immediately delivered--solid flavor, generous chili, and most importantly, the hot dog was grilled, giving it that slight snap that separates the pros from the amateurs. No soggy sadness here. Adventure Buddy's chicken sandwich was also a standout. This was a legit chunk of chicken breast, not a sad, thin patty pretending to be something it's not. Crispy, juicy, and the honey butter added just the right touch of sweetness without crossing into dessert territory. The fried pickles were thick-cut, crunchy, and exactly what fried pickles should be--dangerously snackable. All around, Big Ray's absolutely delivered. Solid food, quick service, great value, and the kind of place you immediately add to your "easy yes" rotation for burgers, dogs, and sandwiches. I'll definitely be back--especially once the weather warms up and that front patio becomes fair game.

The total came to $14.79, which is an awesome lunchtime bargain. I honestly can't remember the last time I fed two people lunch for under $15. Major budget win. It had been 15+ years since my last chili dog from Jimmy's, so while running post-Christmas errands and finding ourselves nearby with no real timeline, we jumped on the opportunity. Things have definitely changed since my last visit. It's clear Jimmy's has dealt with some difficult customers over the years--numerous signs now ask folks to grab their food and head out. No eating inside, no public restrooms, and no replacing lost, stolen, or forgotten beverages or chips "due to a high rise in thefts and customer walk-outs." Back in the day, I remember a packed counter with customers chatting and eating. That era may be gone--but thankfully, the food hasn't changed where it matters most. My love for Jimmy's chili cheese dog remains completely intact. It's not the hot dog or the bun doing the heavy lifting here: simple white bun, basic hot dog, lots of onions and mustard. No, it's *that chili*. Good lawd, that chili. I don't know what magic is in it--maybe the greasy orange residue it leaves behind--but one bite instantly reminded me why Jimmy's holds such a special place in my heart. I demolished the entire thing in seconds, with only audible moans to signal that I had not, in fact, been transported to actual Food Heaven. The fries were a solid supporting act--thick-cut potatoes, perfectly fried, piping hot. They came unsalted, but salt packets were thoughtfully included in the to-go bag, so no real issue there. The portion size was bigger than expected for the price. The hot sausage with cheese was another win: perfectly grilled, slightly charred, and just spicy enough to satisfy. Served on the same basic white bun with American cheese, it was simple, classic, and done right. Plenty of free, on-site parking is available right out front since Jimmy's is located in a strip mall. Be sure to check the hours--6am to 4pm most days. Jimmy's won't satisfy a dinner chili dog craving, but it will absolutely fill your belly at lunchtime and leave you wanting more!

I've driven by Joy's a million times and somehow never noticed it before. It's tucked into a busy strip mall and easy to miss if you're not specifically looking for it. Spoiler alert: you should be looking for it. My quest for the evening included both a burger and a chili dog, because they both looked amazing and I wanted the full Joy's experience. My adventure buddy and I arrived around 5pm and I was honestly surprised to see only one other person inside when we walked in. We grabbed a booth by the front door and looked over the menu again to finalize our plan. Since it was our first visit, we decided to order a few things and split them so we could try more. We ordered the loaded chili dog topped with chili, cheese, onions, and mustard ($5.25) and one of the Big Block Burgers -- specifically the Joy's Burger -- which came with grilled onions and mushrooms, lettuce, tomato, LA sauce, Swiss cheese, and fresh cut fries ($12.99). Naturally we added bacon for an extra $0.99 because that felt like the right decision. We also each grabbed a Diet Pepsi (to maintain some illusion of balance) for $2.50 each. Our total came to $25.69 before tip, which felt like a pretty solid deal for a two-person Friday night dinner adventure. The setup at Joy's has a classic old-school diner feel. The grill sits right behind the seating counter so you can watch your food being made, and they mix milkshakes right out front as well. The place is simple and no-frills -- and in my experience, those "keep it simple and do it well" places are often the real heavy hitters. The chili dog came out first, and the first thing I noticed was that this thing was HEAVY. This wasn't your typical skinny hot dog -- it was a full ¼-pound dog absolutely loaded with chili. The flavor reminded me of a Cincinnati-style chili dog and it was really good. The chili was flavorful instead of just decorative, the mustard and onions were balanced perfectly, and the bun did its job without getting in the way. As someone who takes chili dogs very seriously, I have to give Joy's credit for delivering a straightforward, perfectly executed chili dog. Next came the burger and fresh cut fries, and when I say this burger was big, I mean BIG. Two patties tall with all the toppings stacked high. We sliced it in half and immediately dug in. The bacon was perfectly crisp, the mushrooms and Swiss were generous, and the whole thing just tasted like a real, proper burger. Not a chain burger that started life frozen and tastes like it could have been reheated in my microwave at home. This was the kind of burger you picture when you say you're craving a burger. The fries were exactly what you want from fresh-cut fries -- the smaller ones nice and crispy, and the bigger ones crispy on the outside with that soft, fluffy inside. Splitting the chili dog and burger turned out to be the right call. It would have been easy to eat everything solo, but my stomach probably would not have forgiven me later. Our server was super friendly and attentive throughout the visit. While we were there, a few more people came in to eat, but overall it felt relaxed and easy for a Friday evening. Parking is free since Joy's sits in a strip mall, but it can be a little tight because there are several other popular businesses nearby. We were able to find a spot without trouble, but I could see it getting tricky during busier times. If you're looking for solid burgers, legit chili dogs, and an old-school diner vibe, Joy's Grill & Burger House is absolutely worth seeking out -- especially if you're like me and always on the lookout for your next great burger or chili dog adventure.

Melissa took great care of us, upbeat, cheerful, and even singing Christmas carols while making sure every customer was happy. We ordered the burger and fried chicken based on Melissa's recommendation, and oh boy, it was soooooo good. Brenda, the cook, definitely knows what she is doing. The owner buys whole chickens, cuts and marinates them in a house seasoning, and it truly shows. The chicken was perfectly cooked, not greasy, not salty, just right. One of the best burgers and fried chicken meals we've ever had. We wrapped things up with cappuccino chip ice cream. They serve Hershey's ice cream, which is always a win. We always try to support family-owned restaurants when we travel, and this place is exactly why. Nothing mass produced here, just food made with care. I was hoping all the hype was true and maybe I'd even find a new spot to add to my breakfast places to try list -- but, spoiler alert, I won't be doing that. Pulled in around 5pm and found parking (miracle, since there are only about 4 or 5 spots). Inside, I was greeted right away and told to seat myself. The specials board out front caught my eye, so I went with the bacon cheeseburger croissant, upgraded my fries to chili cheese fries, and grabbed a Diet Pepsi. I was the only dine-in customer, but there was a steady flow of pickup orders. Still, a 20-minute wait for my food felt long considering it was just me sitting there listening to FM radio straight out of an 80's prom (hello, Mr. Mister's "Broken Wings"...literally). When my food finally arrived, the staff immediately realized they'd forgotten the chili cheese on the fries and whisked them back to fix it -- good save! The chili itself? Fantastic. Like, "I-need-this-on-a-hot-dog" fantastic. The fries, though...yikes. Grease was literally pooling and dripping through the basket like a leaky oil pan. The burger was fine -- solid flavor, but the proportions were off. Giant tomato and onion slices took over the show, and the croissant was way too big for the small patty. Loved the croissant idea, just needs a smaller bun or a bigger burger. Ended up eating the patty and ditching the salad-sized toppings and half the croissant. The check was the real surprise: $12.99 for the burger, $2.49 for the Diet Pepsi, and another $2.99 for the chili cheese fry upgrade -- plus a mysterious "conveenience Fee (2.99%)" for $0.55. Maybe time to run spell check before charging extra, Dad. All in all with tip, $20+ for a burger that didn't quite live up to the hype. It hit the spot for a burger craving, but not enough to make me a regular. Glad I gave it a try -- it's got potential and a great location (even if parking is a tight squeeze). But honestly, it might be time for Dad to roll up his sleeves, give the menu a tune-up, and maybe double-check that receipt printer while he's at it. Bottom line: Cool concept, great chili, and 80s prom tunes -- but for $20+, I expected a little more horsepower under the hood.

I felt it was a little too high for what we ordered.....and this is the only reason I awarded a 4 instead of 5 star review. I would dine here again. They are known for their Fried Chicken which looked delicious at another table, I will try that menu choice when I have more time because they cook to order and it's a 25 min wait for the fried chicken.
