We visited Lion's Pride twice for lunch since we were in the area for work. We always visit Lion's Pride when we are in the area. As usual, our meals were good and the service was friendly. My coworker, who has never been here, really liked the place and her food. She got a taco salad yesterday and I had baked chicken pie. Today, we both got chili and a salad. We enjoyed both our meals but especially the chili. Mya waited on us yesterday and Kelsey waited on us today; both our servers were friendly and available when we needed something like a refill or extra napkins. After coming here for years, I've found that you either get really good service or the worst waitress you'll ever have in your life. My husband and I have hit a streak of bad luck when it comes to the servers we've received the past few times we've visited. Some of the servers seem to be not all there in the head... which is fine... unless they're on drugs or alcohol. Yep- that's how bad the service can be . One time we went for breakfast on a weekday and our food took over 45 minutes. Our server, Jamie, approached our table multiple times to refill our coffees, but never once apologized or even acknowledged how long we had been waiting. We watched other tables (who were sat after us) order, receive their food, pay their tab, and LEAVE before our food arrived. No acknowledgment from her even after our food arrived! The same woman was our waitress for breakfast a few weeks later. The food came out within a reasonable time, but after she took our dishes away she disappeared! (I also took notice that other tables she was serving were as confused as we were and looking around for her during this time.) Coffee cups empty and all, we sat and waited for almost 30 minutes before she finally walked out of the kitchen. We had to flag her down and ask her to give us our check! To which she looked confused after we asked Like girl we're not trying to stay for lunch too! Bonnie and Jalen are 2 servers who are notably very, very good every time we come! They're very kind, always smiling, and leave us feeling overall happier when we leave! There are other great servers who I can't remember the names of, all very nice! Food is good! I like their lunch/dinner better than breakfast, but they have a lot of creative breakfast specials that are worth mentioning. The pumpkin pancakes are a favorite of mine, along with their breakfast burritos! I also enjoy the wraps on the lunch/dinner menu, the chicken bacon ranch being my fav! read more

Lion's Pride is a quintessential small town Pennsylvania restaurant with great food. It's a family restaurant so there's no alcohol options available. People come here for the food, however. It's definitely a locals favorite in Red Lion, PA! They serve breakfast until 1PM and the Lunch menu starts at 11AM. I was in a group of three and some of us wanted Breakfast stuff and others wanted Lunch. Lion's Pride was able to deliver on both! All of the food that I have ever had from here has been great. Stopped in for a late breakfast with my daughter today. Has an old school diner feel with random decor all over the place. Fun little thing I noticed is I saw at least 3 Coke signs on the walls but they serve Pepsi. My daughter got a pancake which was bigger than her head with a side of bacon. I got the sampler which was 2 eggs, a biscuit with sausage gravy, home fries and small portion of bacon, sausage and ham. We both enjoyed our meals. Do not order the Maryland crab soup! It is filled with potatoes corn and vegetables. We found one recognizable hunk of crab. It did not taste like crab. It tasted like vegetable soup. We told the waitress there was no crab in it and she said oh yes there's lots of crab. We did not see any. And they charge extra for crab soup! read more

Food not great, service mid, front end much worse. They have little coin operated machines in the lobby. My children (3&8) both were given $0.50 by their grandparents to use in the machines (I don't carry change). Both kids had their money stolen by the machines. I went to the register at the front, as the little one was crying and I was hoping to get a dollar back after our table of nine spent over $150 for dinner. I was informed that they don't own the machines (not a surprise) and they were unwilling to help (seriously?). I was told that maybe there's an 800 number out there (there isn't). Really? The machines are in YOUR lobby with no signage that you're going to refuse to give a toddler back his money if it gets stolen. If they're in YOUR lobby then they're YOUR responsibility. Even if they aren't it isn't like I came in off the street. I just ate dinner there and paid my bill and left a 30% tip. You're going to let your customers leave with their kids crying over a dollar that was stolen? I asked them to at least post a sign on the broken machine so other families don't have to have kids upset like that. They refused. Zero stars. Zero humanity. read more

This is a solid option for a family restaurant. Their prices are good their portions are excellent you really can't complain. If you do because of lack of staff or time to get your order, They might be short staffed because Covid or whatever. But I had nothing but good experiences at Lions pride and a plenty of regular people that go here. They have pretty awesome chipped beef gravy. Most of the times I can't decide what I want so I just get single orders of maybe French toast and chipped beef gravy, or a Belgian waffles and strawberries but also chip beef gravy. But then a chef adds things in a sandwich that wasn't on the menu and I find this is a problem what if I had been allergic to the sauce ( they it on ) Chipotle sauce very hot and now I missed lunch which at 2 was my first meal of the day and I am hangry and infuriated with this restaurant. Hands down the best breakfast in the York area, and I'm reviewing based on that. Quick and friendly service, and delicious, hot breakfast offerings. Hashbrowns are always fantastic, and the croissant stuffer is a personal favorite. Prices are fantastic for the food you get. As for dinner, it's a step above your traditional diner in my opinion, but I'd probably rate 4 stars versus 5. If you want to change your chips to fries with a sandwich or burger they charge you the full price for an order of fries (not just an up charge) then they do not give you the chips you already paid for. The side of fries is $3 and very small. Got 1 small soda cup about 10-12oz full of ice for $2.40 then waitress returned after our meals and drinks were gone so we asked for a drink refill but in a take out cup so we didn't have to just sit there to drink our 1 refill and we're then charged another $.90 for a "to go refill"! read more

You need to bring the oatmeal back to the breakfast menu. I have dietary issues and that is the only item I can eat that agrees with me. I have eaten here twice and this is my new favorite local go-to restaurant. They serve comfort food. The French onion soup has onion rings on top, and is DELICIOUS! The buffalo chicken wrap is also very good. My only problem is that I ordered both in one sitting and each could be a meal by itself, so I wasn't able to finish my food! I knew better for the next time, and I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap with fries then. The French fries were perfectly cooked - not floppy, not greasy, just right. My kids also enjoy the fact that the kids meals come with dessert included. My daughter loves the clown sundaes. Everything is priced very reasonably and affordable. I will definitely be back again.
