We did not process what she was telling us which was a very EPIC experience. The staff was nothing less than friendly and amazing. They told us all about Wisp's best kept secret which is their water rafting. We watched them pump water into the course and walked around exploring what we were about to do. Mike was our guide on the raft and made the experience EPIC. He was super friendly and made sure we were having fun the entire time. Seriously Mike and the entire staff make you feel like you are a part of the gang. To not come here and experience rafting at the top of the mountain with Mike and the rest of crew of Adventure Sports are fun memories and experiences missed out on. I cannot praise these guys high enough. 10/10 Will return! We booked our raft with Mike the day before because the spots fill up fast.

When we got the boat, we were told to arrive 30 minutes earlier than our boating time, and when we were arrived the establishment was closed and we had to wait outside for 30 mins before they openeded. once we were able to get inside and sign our paper work, they STILL DIDNT GET OUT OUR BOAT ON THE WATER UNTIL 10:15 AM. OUR BOATING TIME WAS 9AM. We paid full price. When we came back with the boat (an hour late like they gave us the boat an hour late) the staff was INCREDIBLEY rude. The one staff tried to run us over with the tractor and didn't apolagize when we all went running out of the way. Spend your money somewhere else. HORRIBLE establishment. If you plan the rent from this company... please read and take pictures of your boat before departing. I reserved the boat on Friday 7/11 for use on Tuesday/Wednesday 7/13-7/14. When I called it seemed like was interrupting something.. he asked if he could call me back. Didn't ask for a name. He did call back. He was polite on the phone and was able to quickly make our reservation. I still felt like something was missing. I wasn't asked how many people. I had to ask. Wasn't told no pets. Or ANY rules/regulations. I asked how early I could pick up and that was pretty much it. When we went to get the boat we were told our reservation was canceled. No one in our group canceled that reservation! They said someone called and claimed to be getting deployed for military. I was told we could pick up as early as 9AM, but we came to pick up after 11AM. Thinking they just gave our boat away??? The people in front of us did not have a boat reservation. Took over an hour to get the boat. They gave us a "consolation" boat. The thing to pull rafts on the back was broke. They gave us a rope to try to figure another way to tow a raft. Boat was dirty. Canopy was taped together. No anchor. Kids ended up having fun so the day was a success. Day two it was raining off and on. The lake was a little choppy. We stopped to fish and jump in. Our boat wouldn't restart. We called into the marina and the helped us trouble shoot. We had to tighten the battery terminals. Then the canopy started to fall apart the last hour. My daughter's boyfriend was trying to hold it together as we were trying to get out of the rain. It was just falling apart. My husband and daughter were both hit with the bar when it came down. When we returned to the dock, it was like they were waiting to charge us with damages that they knew were going to occur. There was a lady there who was not there when we picked up the boat. She was yelling at us about the canopy and blaming us for the battery wires becoming loose. She said that happens when you hit bumps in the water. We were charged over $200 for gas. The gas gage was broke so we didn't realize that it was low. We were still fine with that charge. They charged us a $150 fill up fee on top of the $200.. also fine with that. We misunderstood the return boat time. First night was 7:00 and second night was 5:00. We returned at 5:30 the second night so that was a $50 charge.. our fault! The guy running the desk was nice, but not super informative on a lot of their "rules". The lady when we returned the boat was horribly rude. She left but the called into the desk. We could hear her telling the guy to "deal with them". She told him that we owed over $1400.00. Added an additional $900 for the broken canopy which was already breaking when we took it out. After reading all these reviews from over 7 years ago, I can't believe they are still in business. Lesson learned.... Read the Yelp reviews! Take pictures when something seems wrong. Go with your gut when booking!!!

Our experience was HORRIBLE. Rent somewhere else, and here's why…read more.. Spending your hard earned money will get you this: * Algae on the boat floor (even though the sign out front says "Cleanest Boats on the Lake") * No anchor! * Masking tape "reinforcing" the bimini -- seriously, they tried to fix it with tape. We had the bimini down and when we went to put it back up, the tape snapped and the pole hit my dad in the head. * A boat that sometimes doesn't start, leaving you floating toward a $30K boat with no anchor to stop you. We rented a boat for two days. First, they canceled our reservation -- so when we showed up, we had to wait an hour just to get on a boat. The one they gave us was junk: algae on the floor, broken bimini, crusty leather seats (I could go on). We rented a tube, and they gave us the wrong rope. We had to go all the way back ourselves to switch it out because no one was there to help. On Day 2, we took the boat out and stopped to fish. When we tried to start it again, it wouldn't turn on. The boat started floating toward shore -- and guess what? No anchor. We fixed it ourselves (and even told them how to fix it, hope they listened). When the wind and rain started, we headed back. We tried to raise the bimini with the motor, but the tape snapped -- and a pole smacked my dad in the head. When we pulled in, the owner walked up with a clipboard, sighed, and said, "So what are the damages?" Like she expected the boat to fall apart. Then they tried to charge us for the bimini and claimed we must've hit big waves and broke it ourselves. They scam their customers -- plain and simple. Spend your hard-earned vacation money somewhere else. This place does not care about you or your experience. Have a great trip -- just not here.

Customer service was apologetic, but offered little solution for this huge (and disgusting) inconvenience. After many calls back and forth we did get an air mattress that we place in the dining room for the rest of the stay and offered a partial refund. The house also seemed like it had not been cleaned properly. The bedding and bathrooms had hair all over and some were stained. No paperwork has been received, so at this point, who knows if they will honor their word with the refund. Bed bugs aside, the house was in a quiet neighborhood and close to the lake.

Large pontoon boats available. They speedy enough for skiing / tubing!…read more Friendly helpful staff set us up with a large pontoon boat for 11 adults and 3 kids. We first saw some areas where people were either speed-boating or sailing. The sails were great to watch, but we were faster than them, and they need to set their course to catch the wind. So we scouted out areas where people were tubing and skiing. Everyone was good about making their runs while mindful of others, so they tended to follow eqch other doing runs around a long arm of the lake. Jet skis tended to follow different routes. We took turns, about 15min per run, tubing in the two-person tube provided with the pontoon boat. After about two hours, we took a facilities break at the state park and did some swimming at the beach. About an hour later we were back to tubing! Late in the afternoon, some of us headed home to get dinner going, and the rest went back for more tubing. We spent about 6 hours on the lake! The rental staff was very helpful in getting us docked and unloaded. It cost a pretty penny to rent, i wont lie, but splitting the cost among five couples wasnt bad at all. That's how we do it! And It was so much fun!

We asked if we could upgrade to a larger engine and pay the difference. We were told that it was not possible, unless we were to rent an entire other boat. It is worth noting that there were boats with larger engines that sat in the marina all day. The radio and depth finder did not work during the rental time. We found out later, the marina staff did not turn on the power for the depth finder, which is why we thought those devices were broken. Once the boat's interior, the tube, and life jackets got wet, they smelled of urine. When we returned the boat, we informed them that the devices on the boat were not working. They asked who helped us. We asked if we could at least apply the rental property coupon to the cost of the rental for the inconvenience. We were told no. I think the customer service there could be improved, especially on a weekday when the marina is not crowded. We were also charged over $100 in "fees". We asked for an itemization of the fees, and they said they could not do that. So, know whatever price you see, add $100 to that price, and use coupons up front. All that said, we did have a nice day on the water with our kids. They had fun, and the boat was safe. We will probably try a different marina next time.

There is not much to do here, so this would be great for a stopover (just to get a night's sleep as…read moreit is very quiet) on your way to your actual destination. We were lucky enough that there was a County Fair going on when we were there (although very costly admission) that we could walk to as there was nothing else near that we knew of to do. If you don't own property around Deep Creek, you cannot go down to the water's edge because it's all privately owned property, unless you go to the State Park (or rent a boat from one of the shops), which the State Park is about 13 miles (we were told) from there. There are four networks for IT connection (only two showed up on my laptop), but I could only get on once for a few minutes (and it knocked me off). It's so far out, I even had a time tethering into my laptop, which I normally do not have issues doing this. You cannot stream any shows from their internet per their sign, but if you are lucky enough to get on, it's too slow to even worry about trying to do that. They had one restroom/shower building for the entire RV Park, which is crazy, and most that stay there, it appeared, owned boats and were seasonal campers. It's actually so far out that I'm sure we will never go back to here again! If we want to go to Deep Creek, we'll plan well and get a place at the State Park. I think the accommodations there would be much better, with more to do there.
