Overpriced and sub par service. We had a reservation for 4 and requested indoor seating for A/C since it was almost 100 degrees out. When we arrived at our reservation time, they told us they actually had no indoor seating left although we saw tables open. After insisting, they eventually seated us inside. We got the mussels marinara and caprese for appetizers which were pretty good however hard to balance the dishes as the two tables that made a 4 person table were uneven. The waiter took about 40 minutes between seating us and taking our dinner orders, and then took away our appetizers even though there were still two mussels left we had planned to eat. The food was pretty good, we got seafood linguini, ravioli, chicken parm, shrimp and vegetables. The portions were huge. All in all, it is an overpriced Olive Garden with not the best service and most people working there are not very professional. read more

We are blessed with a number of truly excellent Italians in the area, yet Gregorio's is establishing itself as my favorite. I find that they succeed in every respect by which I evaluate a restaurant.  First, the food is outstanding.  I've tried a number of dishes from them and each one has been first rate.  The ravioli di gregorio was probably my favorite, but the penne with proscuitto and vodka sauce wasn't far behind.  The pasta fagioli soup is probably my favorite Italian soup in the area.  And their double chocolate cake is by FAR my favorite dessert at any local Italian. It's truly exceptional, really rich and decadent (some other local restaurants have excellent entrees but don't do as well with desserts).   Second, while we have gotten carry out more than we've eaten in, they have excelled at both. In-person service was outstanding, quick, efficient, personable -- food came out piping hot.  But they're also a crack operation when it comes to getting food to go.  Again, not every Italian with an excellent kitchen handles the carry-out so well as this.  Gregoio's also has convenient parking spaces for quickly picking up one's food and driving off with it.  We find also that the dishes travel well, and perform well even when reheated at home later. Gregorio's is by no means the least expensive of the local Italians, but it actually winds up being one of the more economical because the portions are so large.  We always get not only seconds out of our meals but thirds -- sometimes even fourths!  So don't be deterred by any prices you see -- it's worth it. I also just very much like the vibe at Gregorio's -- it feels like a friendly local establishment, nothing impersonal, nothing institutional.  Just nice people running a great place.  That's why we keep going back! read more

Best Italian food in Montgomery county. The service is always amazing, the owner clearly cares deeply about his business and chats with the customers regularly. Most importantly, the food is out of this world. It's semi-pricey for pizza but hey it's Potomac right? Best pizza I've ever had by far. I got pepperoni, sausage and meatballs. I order an 18 inch everytime so I can take half of it home it's so good. Had their lasagna and baked ziti, both equally amazing. The food was decent but the service was terrible. Our waitress was not attentive at all and we had to flag down many other servers, only to be met with attitudes from every single one. Service wasn't that great. Waited like 10-15 minutes after being sat before anyone came over. As for the food... the Fettuccine Alfredo was mild. It was kinda dry and not very creamy at all really. A month ago, my family had dinner at Trattoria. From the beginning, our server, Yaneth, took care of us just like we were her best friends. I have seen quality service from James Beard awarded restaurants, but this was more than just attentive and graceful service. Yaneth actually cared that we had a great time as well. Yes, the food was tasty and well-prepared, but the rating was all due to the quality of our server. I hope that Trattoria knows how great of a front-of-house server they have in Yaneth, and do their best to take care of her as well as she takes care of their guests. Gregorio's food is fresh, delicious and prepared with care. It feels like a neighborhood Italian restaurant with all the traditional menu items but there are also many creative dishes fit for 2023. They deliver, and it's consistently GREAT! These guys do their own delivery - not through any service like doordash or grubhub and what that does is insure things are delivered as ordered and in pristine condition (not upside down and destroyed). Teetering between 3 and 4 stars... Food is pretty good. Soups is very nice. They'll even let you mix it... Surprisingly very tasty! The chicken piccatta is good. Could be more lemony. Not my fav but still good. The bread stix were also good but get a little greasy near the bottom.... The sauces can be a bit on the either sweet or tangy side. So if you have a preference try them first. Also if you are not partial to the bread stix sauce you can ask for marinara sauce for dipping. The desserts are pretty good. Flourless chocolate cake!! Apple tart!! Mmmmmm... The service is hit or miss. My most recent experience was a miss... So disappointing. Barely was at the table. Didn't even get a chance to order dessert... Really... Sigh. We have been here a total of two times and, both times, we have been very happy with service. Our fine in experience was AMAZING! Our server was attentive, the ambiance was quiet for a Saturday afternoon but, it was warm and welcoming. We ordered takeout on a Saturday night and our order was over 5 entrees. Every single thing was perfect from our appetizers to our desserts. All the food was very flavorful, chicken was tender and the meatballs are out of this world. This was our first experience with Gregorios and it was fantastic. We ordered pizza and a chicken dish to-go. The online ordering was a breeze. Delivery Review: For some reason, my expectation when we choose Gregorio's Trattoria was not that high. After a long week of planning our upcoming relocation to Atlanta, dealing with a 5 month old and such we just wanted delivery. We ordered our Spaghetti Pasta dishes; my wife got the Gamberetti Fra Diavolo which was Wild Caught Shrimp in Spicy Marinara Sauce Served Over Linguine. I got Spaghetti al Fungi which included spaghetti in a tomato sauce with mushrooms. My entree was absolutely delicious. The mushrooms were cooked into the spaghetti to perfection! I was literally raving on how great it tasted with every bite. We ordered through Grubhub and the estimated time was the time they came. This is an easy 5 star review. read more
