    Hall & Oats

I visited Brooklyn for a work conference and wanted some great coffee. If yall know anything about conferences their coffee sucks and I'm much of a coffee snob. After searching on Yelp. I found this and it's a hidden gem! I returned 3 different times. Twice for myself and a third time with a friend because I hyped it up. I tried the Iced Fall Oat Boy and Hall and Oats. Both were perfect! It was an even balance of the listed ingredients and oat milk done right. Often it's lost in my opinion. I love that the vegan options and wished there was one back at home. It's a small and busy location but the service is fast and efficient. The only downfall is they do not sell the blend they use for their cold brews.

Trying to kill some time so I stop by this great coffee shop. The gentleman at the cashier was very friendly, welcoming and informative. I asked him a few questions about the new drinks. He bought my meal yo my seat. Thank you for being such a warm welcoming person. My drink was delicious and I enjoyed my croissant.

I try the ham and cheese croissant and a ice matcha with oat milk. It was excellent. My ham and cheese was freshly bake with 2 pieces of ham fully stuff inside with yellow cheddar cheese melted on top of the ham. Delicious. Ice matcha was really good. Service was welcoming and informative. I ask about the new drinks and he informed me. It's small coffee shop with few seating areas

I stopped in while commuting to work. Service was pretty decent. I wish they gave the option to substitute the type of bread and or protein. Small cafe sitting area and lots on sunlight with the windows facing the street.

    Blended Salted Caramel

I tried to give this place another shot, but the morning crew is so slow it's unreal!!!!! I placed my order on the mobile app at 10:44 it said my order should be ready by 10:51, I got there 11:00 & it still wasn't ready smh. What's so crazy about this is the salted caramel is already premade! They literally are taking it from a jug & just putting ice with it in a blender. There are times I even got here at the time when my order was suppose to be ready & they were starting on my order at the time I was suppose to pick it up. There's just no sense of urgency. This is an extremely busy area with A LOT of commercial businesses over here. You have the court house, post office, DOJ, MTA, social security administration, law offices etc it's a lot of businesses. They cannot handle the volume in this area. I really enjoy the blended salted caramel but I can't keep dealing with the slow morning staff. Today I had to ask for my order to be refunded because I didn't have time to wait, which is why I placed the order in advance which is suppose to be "convenient" but it's far from it.

This is my favorite coffee spot in this Downtown Brooklyn area. I'm a die-hard cold brew drinker and hate when places try to pass off iced coffee as cold brew. Gregory's puts those places to shame. Their cold brew is fantastic and I love it so much that I've bought their $35 jug / growler to have at home. I typically drink the Honey Badger but I like their plain cold brew as well. I'm even curious about trying their smoothies (specifically the Purple Rain). Their pastries are also VERY delicious. I'm partial to a croissant but even if I wasn't, the smell of them baking when you walk in is purely intoxicating. I've tried some of their bites, muffins, and cookies and nothing has disappointed me yet ::knocks on wood::. Lastly, major shoutout to the service here. I typically order about 5 minutes in advance and my order is always ready when I arrive. They've kindly exchanged things I disliked (like their Yuzu Tonic, I don't know what was i thinking :/ lol). They also very sweet in answering my questions whenever they change their specialty menu. I usually just pop in here, grab and go, but the couple of times I've stayed, the music and energy were great for a work session. There's not much seating but I've been able to grab a seat whenever I need one and I appreciate that. I love this place and I'm happy to have it in the neighborhood!

This is a cute little coffee shop near the kings county courthouse. It is a quick, clean spot for professionals and others to pop in for coffee and refreshments. I enjoyed the strawberry hibiscus refresher. I will be coming again.

Came by to grab a quick coffee as I was staying in downtown Brooklyn for a work trip. Ended up ordering the seasonal pumpkin spice cold brew which turned out to be oddly sour. I wasn't a fan and perhaps it was the combo of the cold brew + cinnamon which impacted the flavor but really all I got were sour notes which I really didn't like and I ended up tossing it away. The pastries looked good through and I would come back to try another drink.

Stoped by since I was in need of a pick me up . Service was quick and easy . And the salted caramel cold brew was just enough. Not too salty or sweet .

    Biscotti Testarossa

This place consistently gets my order incorrect. I have ordered a biscotti testarossa latte twice that has actually been just unsweetened coffee and milk that I received. No syrup, no zest, no cold foam, etc. I have ordered a cherry blossom matcha latte before that I received as just milk and matcha. This can't be a coincidence. This is the 4th time. See below the biscotti testarossa latte that I ordered compared to what it's supposed to be.

Small little no frills coffee shop close to the subway. The peanut butter balls are delicious! Found it a bit River for what it was but then again so is everything in nyc!

The banana and strawberry not so much as to me that didn't really have much of a taste, but maybe that was because the rest of it was super flavorful and over powered the fruit. Having a dessert spot in the neighborhood that is open late night and is serving flavors of our culture is nothing short of a dream come true. Not so great for my weight loss goals, though haha. Thank you, Moose. I came in here, and the place was absolutely buzzing, with groups of people enjoying their late night desserts- a testament to how much we needed this spot to just open and thrive and exist. I don't personally like cream Kenafa so I haven't really tried anything off their menu yet, but the Dubai chocolate crêpe is really calling out my name, and I am just going to bite the bullet and try it one of these days. I did go in to sample their Dubai chocolate. As a chocoholic, I am on a low-key search for the best Dubai chocolate bar in the city. This bar did not disappoint. The filling to chocolate ratio was perfect. However, I do feel that there is an over balance of crispy kanafa in the filling. I think it could use more pistachio cream and be a little on the runnier side. Can't wait to come back and try that crêpe. Until I am able to make that trip back, do stop in and enjoy a sweet treat in this cute little dessert shop. It's also Palestinian owned so you know you are supporting the right people and the right cause while satisfying that sweet tooth craving. What more could a customer ask for?

Anyway, I was in Brooklyn with my brother to see a concert and had just finished dinner. We had some time before doors opened so we decided to grab a little ice cream before heading over to the venue. Farmacy was steps away - it all seemed like it was meant to be, so off we went. Farmacy aims to capture the nostalgia of an old fashioned soda shop and ice cream parlor. Immediately upon walking in we were greeted by aesthetics - the tile, fixtures, and decor totally give off that vibe. There are a few tables to sit as well as a large bar area with stools; I also noticed a few tables set up outside as well. The traffic flow is set up so that you order first and then have it served to you after sitting. Browsing the menu, I noticed they have a selection of ice cream scoops, shakes, egg creams, specialty sodas, hot chocolates, and a large variety of sundae creations. Since we were there for ice cream, we decided to split a sundae -specifically the Sir Twix-a-Lot. This was chunks for shortcake tossed in caramel and topped with vanilla ice cream that was coated in a chocolate shell. Overall I thought the sundae was solid - but the combinations of textures weren't my favorite to be honest, mostly with how the shortcake played with the ice cream. It wasn't bad though - the flavors definitely gave the Twix aesthetic. My only other issue with the dish was that because chocolate shell was used, any residue at the bottom was hard so you have to chisel it if you want to savor any last spoonfuls; I guess that comes with the territory. Service was good - everyone was friendly. It wasn't too busy when we were there so we had our selection of seats and our ice cream was ready pretty quickly. Overall, I'm glad I finally tried Brooklyn Farmacy out - they have a large selection so I would definitely return when I'm in the area again.

It was a bit warm at our table, and the friendly staff moved us to a cooler area. To drink, I ordered the Wolf's Fang for $18, a blend of rums, falernum, arak, passionfruit, orange, and oat milk. As described, it was their take on a milk punch, and wasn't too sweet with a bright hint of citrus. I would recommend it. The hummus was good, being thick with a strong tahini flavor, though I have preferred others. Outside of the hummus, the daily salatim included a mix of mostly pickled items. First, there was some pickled cauliflower and carrots with a bit of turmeric. The second salatim was a more unique and spicier pineapple slaw, which was refreshing, and had some herbal flavor from parsley or something similar. The third was a cabbage slaw, which was alright, as I found it a bit too lightly seasoned. The last was a mix of cucumbers, olives, and other pickles, which was standard and tasty. Alongside all of this, the pita was warm and fresh, and the staff refilled everything when we asked. For the main course, I chose the Steak Shashlik, which they spell as shishlik, for $46, which came with tahini and some pickled onions. The steak was tender and well seasoned, and the tahini added a distinctive nuttiness. I especially enjoyed making a mini sandwich with the steak, tahini, pineapple pickle, and pita. Others at the table ordered the Spicy Lamb Kofta and other shashlik options, including Chicken and Trout. In terms of sides, someone got the $15 Fries with tahina ketchup, which they enjoyed. Overall, everyone enjoyed their meal, with no one ordering dessert as a few walked over to the tasty Bertoni Gelato nearby. This place is a tad expensive, but I wouldn't mind going back. Even as a fan of pickles, I wish the salatim were a bit more varied, such as including an eggplant or bean-based mezze. I presume the dinner version is a bit more varied, as there are many more salatim, but they should put a bit more effort into the lunch one as well.

The extra dollar for marshmallow made the chocolate even sweeter, so it was overwhelming and I wouldn't recommend. But. The extra dollar for whipped cream would be nice because the their homemade whipped cream isn't sweet, so it will just thicken up the drink and give you that extra texture oooomph that you'll appreciate. Flavor-wise, I tried the masala chai, black cherry cardamom, and the saffron soft serve. The saffron soft serve reminded me of the leftover milk from ras malai turned into soft serve, which was interesting and nostalgic. The masala chai and cherry cardamom were more subtle than I hoped. Some tasted unique upfront but left a slightly weird aftertaste that kind of lingered. I respect what they're trying to do and can see why people love it, especially if you're easing into more globally inspired desserts, but for the price, I wanted stronger flavor payoff and a cleaner finish.
