    Cheese board

Stopped in Fort Stockton on the way home to Austin and am so glad we dropped by Grey Mule for dinner! It was so pleasant and a highlight of our road trip. The cheese board was delicious and wines were reasonably priced - got to try a variety of things.

Laid back, fun wine bar featuring wines from Texas, California and Europe. They offer wine flights so you can try several! Reasonably priced and friendly, welcoming owners.

I am 100% sure I left a positive review about this establishment and have a few turned a couple of times and do not understand why Yelp has it removed. I am 100% sure I kept with all of the guidelines, that is dirty for you to do that to the people that write reviews for you, Yelp. There is not much to do in Fort Stockton and if you are from a large city, this is the closest you will get to a venue of that caliber. I will always find a way to return to this establishment when I come around here whether to be work wise were passing by. The gentleman that usually serves me and the owner are very cordial people. Parking is limited so you might find yourself at a stupor at peak times. Yelp staff behind the computers, stop deleting people's reviews just because of an establishment does not pay the monthly going rate that y'all desire.

Best thing about Fort Stockton. Sorry to hear they've lost their local winery. Still enjoyed a bottle and cheese & fruit tray while passing through. The wine cocktails looked great, and the sangria was flowing. Our server was delightful.

A great patio if you have a dog and enjoy wine. The cheese and meat tray was yummy and the service was great.

Great little local place. Excellent drinks and food. Play music on Wednesday night is also a lot of fun.

Sue and Adrian were great! Nice atmosphere and fun customers (the locals). We had some wine and a meat and cheese board.

This is a super cute find! The bartender was knowledgeable and fun to socialize with during our tasting. The wine is decent.

I've visited the winery twice now and it's a permanent stop on the itinerary I plan to Marfa. If you're a red wine drinker - you're in luck - as yummy reds are the bulk of the varieties you can enjoy. I recommend doing a tasting to fully enjoy - especially if it's your first time visiting. Plus - if you end up purchasing a bottle, the tasting fee is waved. While the property itself is still a bit in progress (they were putting the finishing touches on an AirBnB section the last time I visited, it's more about the wine and the views, right? And there's no better way to pass your day than by enjoying a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains as you gaze out over the grape vines. The staff is ALWAYS super friendly, if you're lucky you'll spot one of the roaming pets on the property, AND there's a really awesome food truck on site (Too Hot for TABC). If you find yourself in the area, don't pass up a visit to Chateau Wright Winery.

The way they do things and the things they try here are gonna be big news very soon I assure you. The reds are amazing and the GTM sweet red are stunningly good wines here. It was really interesting and fun to try. The plate we got it with looked pretty good, but the bread was stale and the homemade pickles were not very well pickled- Tasted like they were put in vinegar that same day. We mentioned to the staff that our bread was stale to see if we could get a fresher one but they said it's because it supposed to be like a crouton/ toast. We have had many croutons and toasts in our lives ofcourse that didn't feel and taste like stale bread but we just took it as a funny part of our Marfa stop experience. Not a place I'd come back to consider the quality for the price but definitely a memorable end to our short stop in Marfa. My general rating system: 1 star: I would stay away 2 stars: Has some good things about it but I generally don't recommend. 3 stars: Pretty good. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back but a decent place 4 stars: Great place. I would go back. 5 stars: I highly recommend stopping whatever you are doing and making plans to try it out! An Evie favorite!

We also got the tasty smoked salmon tinned fish plate, which came with pickled carrots and radishes, castelvantrano olives, and crackers. It paired nicely with their funky orange wine. The owner/server was friendly, and nice to chat about their Texas wine. I ended up buying two bottles, my favorite being their rose. This is a place the locals go to hang out, and you get a real vibe for Marfa's small and close-knit community. It was fun to be there and be part of the action.
