This is definitely not an "RV ghetto", and the monthly prices are the lowest of any in the area. New RV spaces are being added on the west side of the park at this time and the shower/laundry building is scheduled to be remodeled, probably in 2016. The RV sites are occupied mostly by long termers, but without the usual junky appearance of a lot of long term RV parks. There is a little traffic noise from the busy intersection of the 238 and West Main Street, but nothing like those parks located right off a freeway. I highly recommend Cobblestone for anyone who wants to enjoy a clean, safe, friendly RV park in Medford.

I drove over Sunday to visit but took Hwy. 140 to 37 through the "Rogue Wilderness" which was a little gnarly. Having never been before, I was STUNNED at the beauty of this large, pristine lake. Many people come to fish for trout and bass. Others come for boating, jet skiing and canoeing. Still others come to hike and bike in the mountains. Some just come to kick back & chill. This is a very well maintained campground/resort with all the amenities you could ask for. The store at the marina sells just about anything you may have forgotten, smokes, snacks, food (gotta have those smores around the campfire) and sundries. The restaurant is absolutely lovely and the food delicious and reasonably priced. I enjoyed a creamy pasta, mushroom & veggie dish that was perfectly done, melt in your mouth divinity. The marina blew my mind ... there were yachts and sail boats in addiiton to speed boars moored! There is a regatta each year and this place is so mellow that many, many people leave their boats, fifth wheels and/or camp trailers here for the "season". Yep, you can store your goods here during the week for just a couple bucks, head up Thursday or Friday after work and rent your campsite for the weekend. Week after week, month after month people do this until they close at the end of October. Just a little ways off the beaten path, I highly recommend Howard Prairie Lake & Resort for a nice get away.

Sail boats, ski boats paddle boats and of course fishing boats. They have Friendly staff and host. Little store with mostly fishing tackle, cafe, soft serve ice cream and Marina. Clean restroom and 25 cent showers. We had no internet or satellite. Others had satellite dishes on a 100ft cable out in a clearing. We did have cell service. Very peaceful, even with it being a busy weekend. We will return.

I think the thing that's the best about this event is that you could literally go with only 10 bucks in your pocket and a kiddo or two and spend the day having fun. Almost everything here is free: parking, entrance, kids jumphouses, paper plane demo, 2 different flight simulators, bubbles, sidewalk chalk! With only the $10 you could easily feed a small group a light lunch with drinks. There were 3 food trucks and a small bakery table on site feeding the masses. I was super glad to see buttercloud showed up with their uniques delicious biscuit menu. We opted for for the taco truck (forgot who was there, oops) and sultans delight. We got 4 al pastor quesadillas for $8... fresh made masa and the kids devoured them. From Sultans we grabbed a piece of baclava for $1.50 to go with our chicken kabob gyro and a classic gyro for $6/ea. Only complaint was for the taco truck who was quoting 15 min wait but was more like 25. It was worth the wait, and sultans delight was super quick and efficient to help offset the wait. Pro tip: spend the extra dough if you have it. @ $40/person, the experience a little helicopter flight over Emigrant lake and taking in the nearby scenery is worth every penny... especially if you have littles who will remember it for a lifetime. I mean, come on, it's only money and you can't take it with you... spent it on good times to leave the memories for the next generation. #thegoodlife

Besides, most of the inns/motels in Ashland are ridiculously over - priced, especially during the Festival Season.... Best of all, it's short walk from any room here in Phoenix, to that Gloriously little Oasis for some refreshment and sustenance, I mean the one and only Pear Tree (aka Iron Skillet). My dog has stickers & pokies all over him because there isn't normal grass. ANYWHERE. My family & I showed up in sandals & had slivers/stickers all in our sandals. Very painful. Their website photos are either edited or were took a long time ago because this place looks nothing like it did on the website. If you're looking for a great family camping spot this is NOT a good one.

July 23-25, 2025 - Ashland, Oregon…read more The Point RV Park has 32 sites with full hookups overlooking the shoreline on the lake's north end. Each site offers water, 50-amp electrical service, sewer, and 14' x 50' pads. The RV Park is for Recreational Vehicles only. There is a locked restroom and 3 showers within the camping area. Look at your reservation confirmation for the code to the bathrooms and showers. There is a camp host on site. The campsites are arranged diagonally on a slope, providing a sense of space and privacy--you don't feel like you're right on top of your neighbor, even though you are very close. (The pads themselves are level.) There was no trail to the lake from our site, but the empty site next to us had a trail which a few campers were using to access the lake. This isn't a particularly quiet campground (except in the early morning), as it's located across from two docks, with boats coming and going throughout the day. During our stay, a helicopter was also conducting water release training, adding to the noise. Also worth noting are the many stickers, burrs, and foxtails throughout the area. If you have a dog, you'll need to be mindful of where they walk. During our stay, temperatures reached into the 90s, making the pavement too hot in the afternoon--and unfortunately, there wasn't anywhere sticker-free to comfortably walk our pup. A trail runs along the lake and leads to a rocky beach area--it's a nice walk. However, about a quarter mile in, there's a large poison oak bush encroaching on the trail. I didn't recognize it at first and brushed past it, so take care as you go. (Update on July 28--I did get poison oak...damn.) We brought our kayak, so my husband was up early each morning to go fishing. He caught a couple of fish, so he was very happy with this camping spot. On our last night, a distant lightning storm over the mountains treated us to a beautiful light show, which was a nice ending to our stay here.

They took out a cancellation fee of $ 17.10 when I contacted them to issue the full refund I got the run around telling me only the owner could issue it. It now has been many days and no refund. This is very poor business practice and they should not be able to get away with this. I am a retired veteran and they should be ashamed of themselves.

They have 50 & 30 amp sites, but on riverside is 30amp only. WiFi is generally good, but again we were really the only ones there. They do have some small cabin rentals. Didn't see or use any public bathrooms or showers, but the do have 1 washer & dryer. The General Store is pretty cool and has a Deli, but if you're staying more than a day, better bring your own food. Closest town with provisions is Yreka. There is no cell signal but we went there for peace & quiet and got exactly that. It was super great. Fished the river, saw turkey, deer, river otters, etc. Go here to relax and enjoy the Klamath River. Staff is really friendly and helpful.

We will definitely be back!

We were a bit worried by the road there (lots of fair sized holes) and the weather (California was experiencing a bad heat wave, and it was 105 here), and considered only staying one of our two nights. So so glad we stayed both nights. The wild horses were hanging out the whole time, and much of it in front of our trailer. I'm sure the heat drove them down to the river and tasty lawn. We also saw the blue heron, bats, and two river otters! Baby bird above the men's bathroom. Lots to see and enjoy. This place is pristine and quiet. We'd just come from a gross Thousand Trails and a loud state park. Coming here with the clean (and air conditioned!!) bathrooms and showers was lovely. The hosts were so nice. And it just felt quiet and relaxing, only punctuated by territorial stallions making a fuss. Nice additions are the giant shaded area with picnics tables and Adirondack chairs to hang out in- our space didn't have a tree so the shaded option was much appreciated. This is a way away from us, but we hope to come back and spend more time here. Also- shoutout to the hosts who spend a lot of time cleaning up horse poop to keep the roads clean for us!
