Under no circumstances should you take the Greyhound bus. The part where the bus broke down and needed a parked regen, cost us an hour an a half, wasn't the real problem. When we arrived at Albuquerque we were told to get off of the bus as they were sending it to rescue another broke down Greyhound bus. One bad situation made into two, nice. After several hours, I'm good and pissed, they tell me "should be" two more hours until it gets back and we can board and be on our way. Hmmmmm. We we're supposed to be in Las Cruses when I was talking to them about "where's the bus". Some of us have schedules to keep. I rented a car and drove the remaining 225 miles. Unbelievable. They said they would give a me a partial refund, stick your partial refund. Lame. Don't get on. I'd give them a 0 star if possible. read more

This was the most unreliable bus trip I've ever been on. I'm not normally one to write bad reviews (as I understand that sometimes things JUST happen) but this situation was much more than just something being out of someone's hands. First, I was almost directed onto the wrong bus. Thank goodness the bus driver actually looked at the ticket (something no bus drivers ever did again at GreenRide) and she told me that I was at the wrong gate. So then, on my way back to where I was coming from a few days later, our bus was first delayed. No big deal. And then they told us it would be delayed until 3 pm (over 3 hours late). And then, it was totally cancelled. Completely. So basically, the company is cheap, but I wouldn't trust it. WORST experience ever. The bus terminal is dirty and people are very weird. Staff is unfriendly, only the bus driver was amazing. The bus itself came 1.5hrs late- we were never told when it would arrive and why it was late. It was a very old bus that then broke down in the middle of the highway after 20 min. driving. After a while the driver decided to go back to the terminal where another bus would await us. I got to my destination 3 hrs. late. The even bigger disaster was on my way back from Vail to Denver: I got on time to the transport center where I luckily enough asked a lady where the greyhound buses would depart. She said they were always late, and should not even provide service any longer to people. Passengers would always have to wait for hours. That was my case as well: we called at Great Junction and it turned out that the bus hadn't even arrived there. That meant it would be at least 4-5hrs late for my departure from Vail. Worst thing: nobody from greyhound there or a mail/call to advice passengers. I finally had to take an expensive CME back to Denver (airport), and then go to the city center. I am a huge public trans person and I have grown up on trains and the subway...never in my wildest dreams did I think that a Greyhound bus from Denver to Vail could be so traumatic. It's horrifying! The station itself is an armpit and the lines...Greyhound doesn't seem to ever publish their full schedule, so for some reason, I thought that this bus' final destination would be Glenwood Springs. This is why I could not believe the length of the line of people waiting to get on the bus! On a weekday afternoon. Well, as it turns out, the final destination was Las Vegas and they overbooked it. To their credit, they said another bus would be along in 30 minutes and it was...I got on it, thinking that it wouldn't be crowded. WRONG! The types of people that ride are really straight out of central casting. I could have driven but was meeting my boyfriend in Vail and we didn't want to drive back separately. Anyway, I'd probably drive next time. We were supposed to get to Vail at 2:05 but instead rolled in closer to 3:30. I sat with my tote bag in my lap, just frozen. We even stopped in Frisco so that the bus driver could take a smoke break. I could not believe it. Who knows when the next bus of people with this destination were able to leave the station?? Greyhound sucks- disgusting stations, bad drivers and a practice of overbooking. UGH. read more

TRAVEL AT YOUR OWN RISK!! My adult son's flight was cancelled, due to fog at his destination. I booked him on the 1:35 am bus from Las Vegas to San Diego. In addition to the ticket cost of $53, Greyhound charges nearly $20 to purchase a ticket for someone else. Even the airlines don't charge that. Due to overbooking on 2 earlier buses (10:30 pm and midnight), people were being forced into later departures, THEN there was no bus driver for the 1:35 bus. How does that even happen? My son did not depart Las Vegas until 5:00 am. Everyone should experience Greyhound at least once, then they would be far more tolerate of the "minor" inconveniences caused by the airlines. read more

First come first serve policy means the following: If you are taking an afternoon bus from Albuquerque to Denver and the bus coming from Phoenix is full with nobody getting off in Albuquerque, the bus is canceled. When I asked the ticket counter what my options were they told me the following: I could come back for the midnight bus, or my tickets would be good for up to 6 months. This means that if someone in Phoenix had tickets from the month before, they would have boarding priority because they literally boarded the bus first. Don't book tickets with greyhound if you need something reliable. read more

It's the worst bus line in the world I will never use it again I lost my flight from Colorado spring cause of them

After our experience this morning I am shocked this Co. can still be in business. In a quick nutshell this is what went wrong. We purchsed 2 tickets for the 5:40 pick-up in Fort Collins. The lady told us to be there 1 hour early. We got there at 4:45 to find no one. We sat in our car till 6:30. No call, no text no sight of anyone. I called their 800# at 5:30 and they assured me we were in the right location for pick-up. At roughly 7:00 a.m. I finally got through to find out and I quote "oh that pick-up was cancelled" Are you kidding me? We now have 10 people waiting. No one had gotten a phone call or a text. There response was we don't have any notification system to tell people. Seriously 2016?? No technology to set up a auto-text notification on the status of your ride. We then had to call a cab and get a ride to Denver. When asked about reimbursed for the 1st leg of the trip and the very costly cab fee they said "that's not our fault.. the bus got cancelled" Unbelievable!! Never Again will I take or advise anyone to waste their time and money on this joke of a Company..... Maybe you should get your Boss on UNDERCOVER BOSS so he can see 1st hand what really is going on.....instead of rewarding his employees with a raise and promotion they would all be fired! read more

I can actually say this bust station is better then most of the others I been to. What I found very funny was the black lady behind the counter. She would announced everyone's bus information in Spanish and english. The interesting part was that you cant understand her english from her spanish, its horrible. Horrible experience. I bought my dad a bus ticket to get to Colorado Springs from Idaho Springs and the bus arrived 2 hrs late. We had no other choice but to wait. Package Express packages that were supposed to be delivered to a station an hr and half away got delivered here instead. I have been calling every phone number in the book for this station for 2 days now and no answer, no voicemail. Just ringing until the call is disconnected. I think the only answer is to make the drive and hope someone works there and they have my boxes. :( Even calling the main Greyhound corporate numbers just tell you "call the local station." Station was actually really clean. Let me get that out the way. But the LADY WORKING TODAY in the ticketing area was VERY RUDE. 9/18/19 Got off the bus coming from Sacramento CA and needed to use the restroom. They used codes to open the door and had to ask ticket booth for the code. There was a line and there was 3 people ahead of me. I tried to get the lady's attention since I just needed a bathroom code. When I got her attention and asked her "can I please just get the bathroom" she looked at me and says "you have to wait in line" here I am doing the potty dance in this lady said I have to wait in line for a damn restroom code! I was livid and actually raised my voice "for a restroom code?!" She just looked at me. Good thing the other passengers just yelled it out to me cus they saw how bad I needed to go. This has to be the worst company in the entire country for customer service. I swear I'm so over these drivers/reps and their f*****g attitude. Everytime I've taken a greyhound I received the worst service in my life. The people that print the tickets won't even look u in the face. Their rude af and always have a sh*t face. One of those clowns asked me to sign a paper and didn't hand me a pen. I waited for a pen and he asked again and got even more rude lol. I asked him if he want me to sign the paper with hopes and dreams since he won't give me a pen. The drivers are also d-heads . I can't even describe how polite I am with everyone and how nicely I speak to people. Never riding these old raggedy a$$ buses again. I rather pay $200 for an uber than receive the service I've experienced with you guys. And this isn't the first time this is the 3rd incident already where your employees are trash. If I had the choice to choose 0 stars for Greyhound in the Denver area I would have. Terrible service and disgusting attitude to customer service and support. We booked return trips from Denver to Idaho Springs and buried in the fine print 'service provided by partner company Bustang'. There was no warning about this during the booking process. The Bustang bus arrived 1/2 an hr late at Idaho Springs (it happens) but the bus driver said we are full and can't take you - even though my husband hopped on the bus to talk to the driver and saw several empty seats. He then looked at our ticket and said you are a Greyhound customer and I can't take you anyway and left us!!!!!!!!? Numerous calls to Bustang and Greyhound and each passed the buck. After 35 minutes Bustang said 'sorry we have no more services tonight - get a taxi!!!' Greyhound said ok you can catch our bus that arrives at 6.30. We stayed at the bus stop from 5.15 to 7.30 - it was a no show. Numerous phone calls again - and each time got through to a Philippines based cal centre. If our calls got too difficult for them - they simply hung up on us. We were not rude just trying to find a solution. This happened 4 times! We found a lovely lady at the petrol station who kindly agreed to drive us to Denver as she was heading that way or we would still be in Idaho Springs. Bustang is a total BUST. And Greyhound is a a bunch of total HOUNDS. Will never use them again. read more

My gf purchased a tix online for me to travel from Denver Co to Santa Ana CA with a transfer in Las Vegas. I am a handicap person who requires lift and wheelchair assistance because i am unable to walk and currently ride a scooter. My tix was purchased as a handicap tix with priority seating. Upon arrival at the Denver station, I checked in and indicated that I needed assistance, yet I still boarded last, had to carry my own bag, was mocked by luggage carrier guy that I could not lift my bag, mocked by the bus driver because apparently nobody told him I needed the lift although I told the tix counter, security, baggage and the driver, made to squeeze through seats to board off the lift because the driver did not move the seats so that i may board correctly, made to jump down off the bus on my own on every stop because the driver was nowhere to ask for the lift to get food and had passengers carry my scooter off and on the bus while I jumped the stairs causing me pain from my injury of screws and plates on my right leg. Not only could I not put my foot up on my scooter per doctors orders because i had no room for a wheelchair because they never moved the seats as I indicated, but I also had to hold my scooter on the aisle the entire time i rode from Denver to Las Vegas witch is a violation of safety for all passengers. I was ignored when I asked for help to the diver but also was told "not to worry about it". I had to finally ask for help from a passenger to switch seats so that i may pt my leg up on the seat on the opposite side of the lift and a nice lady placed my scooter in her sitting area. Once I was in Las Vegas, again I was made to jump off the bus and had somebody help me with my scooter. I had to carry my own bag although I asked for help yet again. The bus from Denver was 1.5 hours late so everyone missed the transfer. I went up to the tix counter indicated again I needed assistance and that my tix was a handicap tix, they sent me to an express bus that stopped in San Bernardino and then LA in witch at that point I would take another bus to Santa Ana. Again everyone boarded before me because once i got to the bus driver after being in line, he put me aside and was upset at ,me for not letting him know I needed the lift...although I told, the tix count, security, baggage and the bus driver. He continued to argue for a long period of time with me about how its my responsibility to let him know although I did. Not only was he not able to figure out how to move the seats for the lift and for my scooter to fit, he called a tech to do the job and still the where able to move it just enough for me to use the lift and board. Once on the bus, no seats are available at this point so I had a lady sit next to me who was nice enough to allow me enough room to place the scooter in front of me to place my leg up yet I was falling off the seat. After an hour, I had to ask her to move and she was really nice to find another seat an allow me the room for my leg. We got to San Bernardino and was not able to get off because of the pain I experienced from not having my leg up from Denver to Las Vegas. We eventually got to LA and finally the lift was used here to get off the bus. Here in LA, everything was different in a great way...luggage carriers grabbed my bags, I boarded 15 minuted before anyone on the bus to Santa Ana, they used the lift, they respected me and actually moved the seats correctly to allow my scooter and my legs to remain up. Once I got to Santa Ana, again people were courteous and the lift was used to unboard correctly off the bus. I arrived in Santa Ana on a Thu I believe,...by Friday, my leg was swollen and I had to call the surgeon and doctor regarding the pain. Ended up in the ER Room for a DVT (blood clot)....this is an onset due to the uncomfortable sitting from Denver to Las Vegas. I called Greyhound customer service and filed a complaint. Information was taken down and I indicated I was going to contact them a couple of days later to get a status and resolution on the matter. I did call back Monday and was told nothing will be done about the situation and that they had already taken my info down. I asked to speak to a Supervisor and was given the runaround being told they don't have one available. After I threatened to sue, I was connected to a senior supervisor according to customer service in witch I had to explain yet again in depth of the situation and the supervisor told me he will be compensating me for the trouble and experience I went through. Yet, he could not because I was not the purchaser and to have my gf call and give the case # so that they may do so for the inconvenience and not to worry that everything was notated so she can speak to anyone and they would compensate her. I had my gf call one day after witch was Monday 3/20/17 and she explained and gave the case #. The rep indicated that she could do nothing and that the information was incorrect. They are a joke. read more

I do NOT recommend traveling through this company My boyfriend who lives in MT recently booked a trip through Greyhound to visit me in CO. First off, the trip there was supposed to take approximately 13 hours but instead took 16 hours. He had to sit in a bus with people smoking cigarettes around him for 4 hours. People were laying on the floor of the bus with newspaper under them. The bus driver was extremely rude and unaccommodating, people kept getting their luggage lost in transfers, and the driver would not confirm that my boyfriends bag was put on the next bus, which contained all of his belongings. On the way home, the company lost my boyfriends bag (as he was worried about) and left it at the previous stop in Wyoming, so he had to wait until 5am to get it back. He had a horrible experience and walked away sick, exhausted, and frustrated. Please DO NOT GO THROUGH THIS COMPANY. It is a waste of your time and money. read more
