DONT TRUST GRAYHOUND FOR SAFE TRAVEL. My name is Wm Bissell, We bought a ticket for our family friend to go from Harrisburg, PA. to El Paso Tx. ( Booking Number 329 582 1507 ). Now Ms. Pena is here from Cuba, She arrived in 2023 & was given asylum paperwork, a work permit, & a future court date. She was traveling just fine & made it all the way to St Louis bus terminal & boarded a transfer bus to Dallas. After arriving in Dallas she needed to transfer again to another bus to El Paso. Well between St Louis & Dallas they make multiple quick pick up spots usually 15 or 30 minute stops. At one of the stops armed ICE Agents boarded the bus & told the bus driver they were performing a ID check. Then proceeded to ask random people for their Identification. upon removing a couple of people already, Ms. Pena showed the officers her paperwork, then they removed her off the bus & sent her to a detention facility & now nobody knows where she is. 1. Why is a Grayhound bus driver allowing ICE agents on a bus just to perform random ID checks without a warrant. This is illegal, there is no probable cause. Especially in the middle of the united states, nowhere near a border city or town. Ms. Pena is a caregiver, not a criminal. My advise do not take a Grayhound bus anywhere, they are working with immigration at major bus stations all throughout the US & allowing ICE to board buses at random places with no warning & without warrants and just taking people off & disappearing them. I always seem to forget why it is that I don't ride greyhound.. I then book my ticket, make the trip, and then ugh I remember why I don't ride Greyhound. I booked two tickets from El Paso to Phoenix. Tuesday at 2:30 am with an arrival time in Phoenix at 10:30 am because it was so cheap. My mistake, you get what you pay for. We got to the station at 12:00 am just to be safe and went to the ticket counter to get our tickets. We waited.. and waited... waited some more until finally a girl comes running from the back. We seriously thought no one was working the front.. we get the tickets and sit down. Oh and she lets us know the bus is an hour late! Ugh!! I've got to say though that this is probably one of the cleanest stations I've ever been in. It didn't smell like BO and I saw the employee sweeping up the trash every so often.... The bathroom? Don't ever use it. I think they mop the floors with pee? Did I feel safe? NO. The person sitting behind me was bragging about how they had just gotten out of jail after being locked up for 12 years... the person sitting next to me was nervous and scared and asked me 362828 times if he was going to get robbed and if the bus was safe. Most greyhounds aren't that great just bearable, but this by far has to be the worse. The customer service sucks and food service doesn't follow instructions. When re-boarding for my trip, I was given a ticket prior to. I presented my RE-BOARDING ticket to the driver and he asked where is my ticket I presented him with my ticket he said it was wrong it wasn't. What can I say. It's a bus terminal. I wasn't expecting any special treatment or a pristine facility. Instead, my friends and I had a subpar pre-travel experience. Customer service: Not that good. There was one lady at the main counter to give tickets so there was a wait. There could've been a much longer wait if there were more than two people in line though. She wasn't straight up rude, but she was definitely in a hurry and wanted to move us along. She also wasn't helpful at all when we needed guidance about how to travel appropriately. There also was literally no one around to help us when we were confused except the lady at the counter. Facility: The facility was decently cleaned. There were crumbs, rocks, and soda spills but nothing else too big. The trash cans weren't full which is a plus. They had a good amount of seats so that almost everyone could sit. It was very convenient that they had a lot of TVs that we could watch playing CNN. They had a decent game room for kids and a food station. Overall, it was a subpar experience but I wasn't expecting anything more from a bus terminal. This place needs better customer service, or at least someone around to help people who are confused. Extremely poor customer service. Can't get a human on the line. The six questions they allow you to choose from do not give any way to reach a person. Apparently Greyhound thinks March 15th does not exist. It claims I ' need to enter a VALID date'! To the best of my knowledge for all if my life there has been a March 15th every single year. Greyhound also insists that there is no Palm Springs, California even though I used to visit there on liberty about once a month. Of course after 40 minutes of trying to book a trip. I gave up and tried calling. When I found out the almighty greyhound system is infallible. You cannot speak to a live person to find out when the space aluens stole part of California. Do your thorough investigation when searching for a bus line! Had a terrible experience today at this location. We were boarding a trip from El Paso to San Antonio. Baggage claim or carry ons were not checked, no security looked at the baggage. Security was just entering and exiting the premise without securing anything! When checking our tickets, no ID was checked; anyone could get on the bus. Upon going inside the vehicle, there was a specific passenger who was sitting besides us, and entered the restroom to inhale some type of drug. He was very protective over his bag and hid something in his jacket. My husband and I felt very uncomfortable because this individual was very tense, and paranoid; looking at everyone. The bus smelled, passengers smelled, the passengers in front of us, the mother had throw up all over her with a loud child. My husband and I felt very unsafe and insecure, we ended up getting off the bus and renting a vehicle to drive to San Antonio. Also they don't offer refunds. So double think before purchasing a ticket to greyhound. Overall, no security whatsoever on the bus or prior to getting on the bus. The bus smelled, passengers are shady. Security MUST be enforced, baggage' and carry ons MUST be checked before entering; just as an airplane. Identification of all passengers MUST be checked with a valid ticket prior to boarding the bus! So if you have family I would highly stay away.. I had a horrible experience. read more

Horrible!!! Bus was scheduled to leave at 3:50 but was announced an hour delay. Well the hour came and went without an update or anything...bus still not here! Smh! And the bathroom is filthy! Looks like it hasn't been cleaned in a while. Called both customer service hotlines, still waiting for a call back. Will update later. It is now 6:23 in El Paso...Still sitting here at the bus station with no update from the front desk. Several buses must be delayed because now there is standing room only. HORRIBLE!!! Not that this is the cleanest station around, but our bus boarded early and left right on time. This was surprising to me since we had just come from the Albuquerque station which was disgusting/filled with terrifying people. We had a 5 hour layover there which turned into 6 because the bus was late. Our driver from El Paso back to Albuquerque (David) was extremely nice and very helpful. read more

Bus took off 20 minutes early on 5 guests.  Loud speaker there was crackly and deafening.   Employee made one announcement (unless already waiting, no one understood). Eventually arrived in El Paso, and requested refund, and my baggage back and got nothing.  This trip was not worth 1/2 star.  Consider other options. read more

And I get down here to Greyhound and for one there's no air conditioning so I don't know if the air condition is broke or they just decide not to use it. I've been taking the greyhound about a handful of times in my life and it never fails to disappoint. The bus leaves late every single time. I have been told by staff here that we can't leave Becuase the bus driver simply "doesn't want to go" are you serious? It ended up being a Five hour delay. I'm standing in line now, again, delayed Becuase staff here said they needed to clean the bus. Do people even work here? Bus stations also smell like death, and bathrooms are a mess. Omg I havent even got on the bus yet and I hate this place. This is my first time riding a bus and I'm only doing it because my car is having minor issues and I don't want to risk driving it from El Paso to California and end up getting stranded somewhere. Right now I wish I had taken the chance with my car because even being stranded in my car somewhere on I-10 would be better than this. This is the most disorganized place ever. The lady at the desk is slow and rude and hates her job and griped to me about how she's the only one working the desk. She couldn't even tell me what "gate" I should wait at for our bus and the display monitors arent much help either. It's just a bunch of long lines of confused looking people. I got here 2 hours early and they just made announcements that a bunch of busses - including ours - are going to be 2-3 hours LATE so the drivers can "get their rest" because they are short on drivers. So my bus that is supposed to leave at 8:15pm is now going to leave at 11:30pm. So that's 4 1/2 hours we are stuck sitting in this nasty, smelly place. And let's talk about how DISGUSTiNG this place is. There is literally NO PLACE in here that I don't feel gross touching. The people in here are some of the grossest, dirtiest people - many of them are coughing and hacking and sneezing witbout covering their faces, and the entire place smells awful. There is a "Restaurant" in here that I wouldn't eat in unless it was the Zombie apocalyse and that was the only place left that served food. Try your best to use the restroom at home BEFORE you come here. This bus station is a 5 min walk from Juarez, Mexico, and I'd say about 95% of the people in here are from across the border. This is significant because in Mexico, they do not flush their toilet paer. They throw it on the floor in the restrooms for some reason- I dont know why, maybey it's a water pressure issue over there or something. Whatever it is, they bring that habit over here and as a result the bathrooms here have used toilet paper all over the floors. If you are not from Mexico and are used to American restrooms where you flush your used toilet paper, you are in for an unpleasant surprise here. The bathroom here is disgusting - it's like a third-world country in there. And you would think, with that happening so much, that they would stay on top of keeping the restrooms clean and maybe put signs up in spanish asking people to please flush their toilet paper but nope...no signs and the bathrooms are filthy even besides the piles of used toilet paper eveywhere. Taking my 5-year old to use the bathroom among piles of used toilet paper all over the floor was the most infuriating thing ever. I didn't even feel clean after washing my hands and I can not WAIT to get to our hotel and take a proper shower and scrub this place off of me. Also, don't waste your money buying "priority seating" tickets. Everyone is just lined up first come first serve, and when I heard them announcing bus arrivals they just anmounced the bus and said for everyone to have their tickets ready and people just started getting on board. I didn't see or hear any calls for priority seating like you would in an airport. Also, for drug dealers, criminals, and illegals, this bus station must be a best-kept secret. First, there are no cops here - just a couple of those cardboard "security" fake mall cops that walk around doing absolutely nothing. No ones bags are checked and we weren't even asked for our ID's when we checked in - just the confirmation number on our booking. I could have been anyone and I could have had anything in my bag and I wasn't asked for ID and theres no TSA searching bags and no bag scanners for checked bags. How do they get away with that especially in a border town on the edge of Mexico? This place sucks. Like I said, as I'm writing this I haven't even boarded my bus yet because it's been delayed THREE hours. But at least that gave me plenty of time to sit and write this review and warn everyone to stay away from this place. I wolk never ever do this again. I'd rather hitchhike to where I have to go. I have ridden busses in South Korea -- where they poop in HOLES IN THE GROUND --and it was still a better experience than this nasty, ghetto place. read more

I am sitting at the Greyhound station as I am writing this. I am I. Complete utter dismay! I have not been very been treated so bad at a business as I was here!! What happened is I went to get some ice, just ice, from the soda fountain and of course not a single employee was around so I figured I would just get the ice and tonstsnd at the register. This rather very rude female employee came running out and said i was stealing soda! Now ho could I be stealing soda if I wasn't even at the register yet and the fact I didn't take a drop of soda. I was getting ice! I said ma'am u need to calm down I plan on paying for the ice u weren't out here at your station so I was going to wait at the register. She just.kept freaking out saying she seen me get soda! I was like whatever how much is it? She then flipped around on her heels and was back off to the kitchen and was mumbling something in Spanish as she so rudely exit the counter area. Well that isn't the end of my " wonderful" visit to the great El paso! I go to get back on the buss and the driver or whoever he is was rude again! Don't these people know what customer service is? He said if u would have stayed off your phone u might of been on the bus already. I was like wow. Is everyone in this town all so kind? So I am on the bus now heading to my destination. Well let me start by saying if you plan to travel I suggest anything else but greyhound. They are the worst way of traveling I have ever taken in my life. I am on the bus as I am writing my review and I am in El Paso TX 4:40am just boarded my bus that was 40 min late but that is usual for greyhound. I get on the bus take my jacket off cause there is no air coming threw the vents and the driver asks me if I have a top? I was like excuse me a top, he says yes a top because it's cold out and I might offend other riders on the bus. So I have a lot of tattoos but none of witch are racist or derogatory, no naked people or anything negative. So the only reason I can think he wanted me to put my jacket on was becouse I am tattooed. So I put my jacket on and didn't say to much, I didn't want to be rude or cause a scene but I feel that if a person is paying for services does it really matter if your wearing a tank top? So anyways this is just one bad experience I have had on the bus that I thought was petty but wanted to share. So if you are tattooed and plan to ride the greyhound bus bring a turtle neck cause you might have to cover up. read more

Greyhound. Connecting 48 states one bus at a time! This location is relatively close to a major public transit center. It is a big indoor station and appears to be a major hub. There is also a business office here to purchase tickets. I found customer service to be professional and friendly. Considering it's an indoor station, it feels safer than an outside stop. However, I found it to be pretty run down and dirtier than other indoor stations. This place could use a remodel or better cleanup service to say the least. Overall, though this is a big Greyhound stop, I wouldn't stay any longer than necessary. read more

When booking I guess I hit the print ticket, instead of will call. So it's a $20.00 cash fee if they print your ticket. Plus ATM machine isn't working. They weren't too nice & with the lack of communication from the woman who spoke English horribly. So Ms. Supervisor speaks better English, she said go to the library to print my ticket. Which I did. At 1st they didnt want to hold my bags but Supervisor agreed to so I can sprint my way to library. They need to get there crap together & make this shit compatible with smartphones. Long lines to check in and really slow service. We missed the bus because we were in line to check in our bags for more than an hour. The other two times we traveled with them we had bad experiences too. They use "Camiones Americanos" for some of their routes, and if you are going to Los Angeles -El Paso or vice versa or anything in between, that's going to be the case. They over sell tickets and there is no assigned sits, and since the buses arrive with people already on board its not uncommon to not be able to board the bus you buy the ticket for. If this happens they simple tell you that you have to weight till the next bus arrives, and this could be minutes to a couple of hours. read more

I am writing this review and I first have to say that This is my hometown where I was born and raised. I dont use the bathrooms that much but I have yet to see really clean bathrooms in any Greyhound Stations. There is a really rude bald man who unloads the luggage whenever my bus comes from Dallas. I complained to the station but nothing was done because he still works there..I called the main Greyhound phone number to complain but they told me..The customer office is closed on Saturday, have to call back on Monday..By Monday, most people wont bother..Also there are some vagrants who hang around the side of the station and ask for money or cigarettes..They are not my homies as I asked them where they are from, and none is from here. This is the worse staff I have ever dealt with. Here it goes... My husband and I purchased tickets on site with the front desk friendly girl "Cindy" who runs my debit card for $124. She then proceeds to say that the transaction machine broke and is unable to give me a bus ticket nor a receipt and request to see my bank account if the $124 went through successfully (which it did & I showed her & her male coworker my bank transactions). After she verified, she calls her incompetent supervisor on site "Maria" who is hiding in the restroom for over 20 minutes on her phone. Keep in mind, I lost the bus by now because of their system. The supervisor Maria proceeds to call her manager "René Fernandez #915-544-5245" to which she then comes back and states the following in the rudest manner "Call your bank if you want your money back". Both, Cindy & Maria stated this is not the first time this has happened to customers. So.... to be safe, I go online to purchase AGAIN the next upcoming bus tickets. I approached the next supervisor on site, "Jesse" who I had explained in detail the entire scenario and rudely repeats "DO YOU HAVE A TICKET!?" after I had just finished explaining "YOUR SYSTEM & STAFF DIDNT GIVE ME A TICKET". This is absolutely unacceptable and pathetic! I truly hope the so called manager addresses this in a professional manner! read more

First of all you shouldn't travel with Greyhound in Texas. But I have to say this station is by far worst station I have been at. 1) There's only one person on the counter helping out million people on line. Not to mention the customer service is non existence and that one person is also the manager, loading crew, and the janitor. 2) The staff does not know what the hell is happening. Why would you sell bus ticket when there's not enough seats for everyone. Seriously what the hell. Even if that happens, at least SOMEONE should know when the next bus is coming. But no one does, not even the customer service/manager/janitor. 3) This place is disgusting. The bathroom itself is a pig's house: the floor is wet, covered in gooey stuff, and apparently they don't have enough toilet paper to restock. 4) Apparently we're not allowed to lie on the bench that no one is sitting. Coming from 12 hrs of bus ride, apparently I'm not allowed to sleep on the bench while the guy who is a lot more intimidating across from me is allowed to sleep. Only thing that is decent around here is the food court: only thing that seems to be functioning normally. That's about it. Everything else sucks. The two women who work at this location are rude and clearly hate their job. I never feel the need to make reviews but what I saw today, now I know why people do. I have been to this location many times because I use the package service. Usually I pick my packages up and the designated location but because it was closed, even though the hours stated that it should be open, I went inside to collect my package like I have some times before. I waited almost 2 hours in a line just so that the lady working would lie to my face and pretend that she didn't know how to help me. Mind you, she has helped me before so that's how I know she was lying. I get that the place was busy and clearly you are overwhelmed, but I waited in line just like everyone else. Greyhound needs to hire better people to represent their company, I wasn't the only one that complained about their rudeness and I was only there for 2 hours.
