Poor decision on moving bus station!! Cherry Hill mall unsafe location. Poor area for leaving your vehicle. Easily stolen left there overnight or during day. Westampton stop was convenient with parking access to the stop from 295, 541, NJ TURNPIKE. Besides NJ TURNPIKE was literally RIGHT THERE to go either North or South for the busses. If you were smart you would have moved Flix to that location or better yet left Greyhound on Route 73 in Mount Laurelvwhere it was in the first place! read more

Absolutely ridiculous and a joke of a service. I've never had such an experience with a transportation ever in my life. My experience has been beyond deplorable. I am here to hopefully help people here avoid the same terrible experience. I've never taken Greyhound before. I live in New York and as I am in university in Baltimore MD, the idea of traveling by bus was appetizing as the tickets weren't too expensive. So I bought a round trip ticket to come home for thanksgiving. I regret using this service with every fiber of my being. The trip back home was beyond disappointing. I spent extra money on an Uber to get to my bus stop on time at 9:45am. They didn't let us board until maybe 10:30 or so. When boarding, an older man I was supposed to sit next to took my window seat and refused to move and nobody did anything about it. Our bus driver for this trip was of horrible quality. She pulled over this huge bus on the side of the road and nearly caused traffic and a few accidents. Her excuse was that she had to get her phone charger, which was directly behind her seat. She also announced that she would not be stopping at Newark , which was supposed to be a stop for this bus for a sizable population of the bus. This was the day before thanksgiving, and of course people were upset that they would be in a different state because the bus driver simply did not want to stop. This caused an outrage in the bus and even the man next to me nearly shoved me out of my seat to go get up and plead with the bus driver along with another man to stop the bus because they had to go see their families. A young boy in the seat across from me frantically began to text his mother and panic because he did not have a way to reach her in time for the holiday. We were also supposed to be in New York at 1:05pm. We didn't arrive until 3:40pm, and while my ticket said arrival was at 3:25, I know what time I walked out of that bus. I have no idea how we skipped a stop and still arrived over 2 hours later than we were supposed to. My trip back to Maryland was ALSO delayed because the driver was seemingly nowhere to be found, again. When I asked the information what the holdup was about they lazily said they have no idea where the driver is. They then went on to tell the passengers of two other buses that their buses were also delayed and would not give them any updates. How can a big company like this not have backup driver or something similar? Had this only happened to my bus I may have neglected to comment about it but apparently this is a normal thing for greyhound, which is unprofessional and unethical. I am currently on the way back to Baltimore as I am writing this as well. Our driver just screamed over the speaker at a passenger to turn some kind of light off in a rude tone. She also commented that she has no problem pulling the bus over and could care less because she "gets paid by the hour". My seat is also very small and uncomfortable and is causing me pain. For reference, I am 5'2" and relatively in good shape. We are behind schedule two hours again . I am beyond disgusted with this service and the people that work for this joke of a company, I've never witnessed someone be so flagrantly crude to people who they have never met. I will be using another mode of transportation, even if it costs me triple of what I paid for this service. If you value your time or have things to do, Greyhound is NOT the way to go. read more

I wish there was an icon or an indication on YELP where a venue can receive NO STARS! Greyhound has been around for decades and should understand how business works. It seems as though they are truly not in the business of customer service, but in business just for revenue and profits! The station is titled the Wilmington Transportation Center, but it is a one room holding cell! It's dark, gloomy and dirty as hell! The staff is dry and without personality, and the bus driver was sloppy, abrasive and non-caring. We were on a bus that leaked water in the cabin! He told the he passenger to love to another seat! WTH? Bus driver gets on the speaker and tells everyone that he has a 12 speed clutch, but it's not working properly, so he has to break hard and often! Why is Greyhound using this damn bus? With the recent cessation of the Megabus NY - DE route, Greyhound now has a monopoly on reasonable transportation from NY to DE (still waiting for the day a one way ticket on Amtrak doesn't cost three figures!). As compared to Megabus, the Greyhound buses are roomier and there's actually a station (albeit a rather dingy one) with a restroom and seats for passengers to wait in. The drivers are also usually more courteous and have the appearance of being more professional. All that being said, considering the higher cost of a greyhound ticket (vs Megabus), I expect fewer inconveniences. For one, the Wilmington station has a stupid policy of requiring all passengers, even if they've purchased their ticket online ahead of time, to wait in a long ass line to check in at the ticket window at least 30 minutes before departure. This defeats the point of buying ahead of time and significantly lengthens what should be a 2 hour bus ride. If they want to institute this policy, at least have more than one overwhelmed employee working at the ticket window. As with Megabus, there is also a pretty good likelihood that the bus will be delayed. And usually no information is conveyed to passengers regarding when the bus will arrive and why there's a delay. It's 11am now. I had a 1:30pm appointment to make in D.C. Staff is rude for no reason. Can't provide any info about the buses. Amtrak is worth the extra money. Never riding greyhound again. It's recently been getting more disappointing to the point that I rather just ride Amtrak or SEPTA to 30th & board a Megabus to get to NYC. The ticketing experience: poor No mobile ticket within application. Buying your tickets ahead of time will usually get you a lower boarding number to board the bus earlier. However at this station, it's void as you also have to go into the ticket office and get re-numbered. Prices have recently doubled and all the more reason to use Amtrak. The travel experience: mixed If your bus by some stroke of misfortune, originates out of Baltimore and not Wilmington, you're going to have a hour+ delay. No one will give you a concrete reason why and that bus might pass this station completely, with the back up bus an hour behind your original bus. The Station: barely passable It is in desperate need of modernization & cleanliness. It's bright enough and generally safe. If you're a last minute planner, it is still the cheapest express ride out of Wilmington but honestly, just book Amtrak ahead of time and get there reliably. read more

I was assaulted by a security guard while sleeping and waiting on my bus. On top of this... I was only waiting on the bus because the first bus I was on broke down on the freeway and caused me to miss my connecting bus. So they rescheduled my trip (adding a whole additional day to my travel in the process) and I had to wait for approximately 12 hours before the next bus. I was in a place I was unfamiliar with and customer service told me I could stay in the bus station while waiting. I fell asleep and was waken by a security guard kicking me. Then he proceeded to kick my belongings and tried to snatch my phone out of my hand when I started recording him. One star does not even reflect my disappointment in the situation. I currently am seeking an attorney that will represent me in a lawsuit. read more

There is no longer a pickup or drop off Greyhound location in Mount Laurel. We found this out the hard way. When you book your ticket and even if you select seats in advance, there is nothing showing you that you now have to leave from Westampton, which is 12.7 miles away. I hope I'm helping someone by posting this. By the time we drove to Westampton and waited over an hour for the bus, the driver got out and was arrogant and told us all that even though we had assigned seats and our tickets in hand that she was going to pick who she wanted out of the 24 people waiting. We were 4th and 5th in line. She hand selected the 7 people she let get on. We had to end up driving a total of 175.8 miles total to New York, Lincoln Tunnel, plus $45. for parking, $42.37 for tolls, so that we didn't miss our reservations. The customer service agent I spoke to said that the driver reported that 17 people were absent! Such a lie. We are going to use Academy from now on which is right across the street from where Greyhound picks up. read more

My daughter and I where traveling from wilmington Delaware to nyc for a day trip. Saw an advertisement for Greyhound buses. The bus terminal was absolutely disgusting, the young guy at the window was very rude. We got on bus number 86723 - 8:30am Wednesday April 17 2019. Bus was already full off people. We sat at the end of the bus Seat 45-46. The bus smelled sooooo bad the stench of urine and odor killed us slowly. Couldn't open any windows. I WILL NEVER EVER AGAIN RIDE WITH GREYHOUND AND it's a shame that Greyhound company would let humans Endor that type of treatment. I had a packaged delivered and ready for pick up at the bus station. The online website stated they closed at 7pm on Thursday (5/22/2019) for package services. I also asked the customer service what time they closed when I spoke with her on the phone, they told me I had until 6pm to pick up the package. I arrived at 5:15 and the building was already locked up and closed. Prior to all of this Greyhound sent my package to the wrong station 2 hours away and it finally made its way to it's wilmington station today. Then to make it worse the parking lot attendant at the bus station would not let me leave parking garage unless I paid him $12 for a full day of parking, when I was only there for no more then 10 min. read more

If I could rate Greyhound 0 stars I really would. I booked a ticket weeks ago for a bus that leaves tomorrow. The past week I have been on the phone with the EXTREMELY UNHELPFUL customer service line. The bus that I booked apparently changed the departure time, and now is 30 min longer than original time- this is just the least of my problems. The customer service line told me I would receive my new tickets days ago. I have been put on hold, calling for hours throughout the day trying to get my ticket sent to me. They cannot guarantee anything, and told me to call back tomorrow morning (which is when my bus is) if I don't receive my tickets by then. I am never going to use Greyhound ever again. Greyhound is horrible. I purchased a ticket for my daughter to travel from Washington DC to Wilmington DE. The ticket cost $20. After I paid for the ticket I saw I was charged $39.50 total. I called Greyhound to find out what happened and "Charlie" told me that if I use my credit card to purchase a ticket for another person I am charged an extra $18! This is ridiculous. I asked to have the ticket refunded and was told it was not refundable. I asked to speak to a manager and was told that the manager was working on another call and that it would take a "long time" for him/her get back to me, thus don't bother. This is the absolute worst bus experience I have ever had in my entire life!! STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS!!!! I had a 1PM departure time and the station advised the bus would be there on time. At 1:30PM they advised it would be there at 2:30PM. It is now 7PM and the bus has never come! A 6 HOUR DELAY! Overall, it wasn't a terrible experience. But "Priority Boarding" is a scam and the bus was late. It was very crowded too; I didn't find out until later that the bus originated in Baltimore. They can take the reservation, but they can't keep the reservation. I wish zero stars was an option. Booked tickets online for Wilmington Delaware to NYC. When we got to the station, the inside doors were locked with freezing cold weather outside. Around when boarding was supposed to start, we are told the bus won't be coming since it was filled in Baltimore. Why are they selling seats they already sold? Then we are told it may be 1:30 hours till next bus, but not guarantee that same issue would not occur again. No refunds given when asked. Had to take the loss of 5 tickets. Went with double happiness but out of 4th Street, across from dtcc. Cheaper and more reliable. And mystery fees for stroller that have to be paid in cash like with grayhound. Terrible. read more

On bus now. The lady who works at the station and I just got into a verbal argument. She is never nice, and always seems put out. If you don't like your work quit. Don't torture the clients with your attitude and awful disposition. I have never seen her smile, sometimes she is ok but that is it, why do I need to check in and get a boarding number? I like the Greyhound buses. They're clean, have electric outlets, better seats and WiFi. The ride is smooth overall. But the old lady working the morning shift at the Wilmington bus terminal is rude and yells at customers. Despite repeated requests from ticketed travelers, she refuses to unlock the restroom doors. I waited two hours for the bus while the ride itself is an hour long. Cannot get refund for the ticket and the policy of Greyhound is not to refund even if the bus is late. The lady at the counter was so rude that it felt like she was yelling at customers. She also mistakenly announced the incoming bus destination. Again, absolutely NO explanation of what caused the delay. It's like daily occurrence for them. Oh, and this was at 1pm so no excuse for traffic. At the very least, the guy working there tried to call the driver and be polite but that lady is ugh. Adding into this mess is the repugnant smell of weed coming from the bus station's ticket booth all the way into the bus. You might instead consider Megabus route from Newark, U of Delaware or even Amtrak, Acela Express (15-20$ more expensive) than Greyhound. read more

The bus are Always more than 30 minutes late, or either cancelled. They charge fee if you are not using your own credit card, which is the most ridiculous thing ever. I purchased my roundtrip ticket to Washington DC months before. I saved the electronic ticket to my iBooks to use upon boarding. But, the sign said checkin at ticket window. So, I headed to the ticket window to check in. But, the ticket booth operator refused to take my ticket information because I did not print a paper ticket. I asked if she would print me a copy, but she said she could do nothing. I looked for a kiosk and there was no way, like Amtrak, for me to print my ticket. I wish I could give less than 1 star because I just had the most horrible experience with greyhound and I will NEVER be using it again. I was supposed to be on a 1:00 pm bus from Wilmington, DE to NYC. I got there at 12:35 and at around 1:30 the bus had still not arrived. The man at the station told us he had no information and gave us the number for customer service. About 15 of us waiting for the bus called this line and we were all told different information. One person told us the bus broke down and was running late but we were not given a time and one person proceeded to tell us that the bus was already on its way to NY and left at 12:39. We were confused why a bus scheduled to leave at 1:00 would leave at 12:39. I called back at around 2:45 to get a refund because I needed to get home for work and decided to book a greyhound. When I called at 2:45 the woman told me that the 1:00 bus was cancelled and she could put me on the 5:30. I explained that wouldn't work as I needed to back and would just like a refund. She then told me that I cannot call for a refund until 24 hours after a trip. I now paid $133 for an Amtrak ticket and have wasted 6 hours of my day. DO not ride greyhound. I will never do it again. WISH there was an option for negative stars. One of their claims is "extra leg room"....that is 100% not true. Got on a bus from North Carolina to NYC and my knees were touching the seat in front of me. Not to mention, our bus was supposed to BOARD at 2:30AM and we did not get boarded until 4AM. The bus station was super gross and unorganized, and why would they tell you to be early and then leave over an hour late? Not to mention, when we had a "Layover" in Delaware, the bus driver left a couple in the food court, when the people on the bus warned him he was leaving people he waited for three ladies and didn't wait for the couple. Meanwhile, their BAGS went to New York while they were left stranded in Delaware. He claimed he couldn't wait. But we could be over an hour late leaving from Charlotte?? But couldn't wait on two people to get back on the bus?....hmmm. After a great trip to NYC, back on the bus to charlotte unfortunately and this bus driver hasn't spoken to or informed the folks on the bus for the two hours we've been on the bus. No one knows where we are or where we are stopping, then the driver hits a deer and again, hasn't updated ANYONE on the bus what's happening or what's going to happen. There are children, elderly folks, and lots of people on this bus and yet we've sat for twenty minutes or more and have no idea what's going on. So yeah, don't use greyhound you will immediately regret it. Especially if you are trying to get somewhere in a timely manner. read more
