My first few gripes? I let them slide -- I wanted the car. But after this experience? I would NEVER go back. We agreed on a price, but somewhere along the way, the doc fee mysteriously jumped up by $100. I pointed it out (credit to the one kid there who was actually decent) -- he said "No problem, we'll fix that." Cool. Then I had to wait around for 2-3 hours to sign the paperwork -- because they only had one finance person on duty, and she was busy with another customer. The other finance person had called out sick, so I just sat there, waiting. Again -- I'm patient. But when we finally get to the paperwork... surprise: they never fixed the doc fee. My fault for missing it during signing -- but not exactly a confidence booster. Dropped off my $10,000 down payment check the next morning. They told me the car should be ready later that day. Great! Except... nothing. The next day? "Oh sorry, the registration person is out sick." Fair enough. But funny thing -- they still cashed my $10,000 check. I go to the dealership in person. "You can cash my $10,000 check but you can't register my car?" They suddenly scramble to "handle it." After several insincere apologies and another 3-4 hours of waiting, the car is finally ready. I'm visibly annoyed, moving my stuff from my old car -- which they generously gave me $1,000 for (I regret even trading it in). Finally, the manager comes out -- the first sincere apology I got -- gives me his number, says to call if I need anything. Fast forward -- car fails inspection for emissions. Turns out the battery is from 2020 (same year as the car), not new like I was led to believe. I call the manager -- he says he'll call me back in 10-15 mins. Never does. Now the fun part: after driving the car for a few days, I started noticing weird noises. At first, my mechanic thought it might be pulleys related to the turbo -- but to be safe, I scheduled an appointment so they could put it on the lift and check it more thoroughly. When they did, they heard additional noises coming from the transfer case and transmission. Nothing catastrophic yet -- but concerning enough that they referred me to a transmission specialist to take a deeper look. I figured -- hey, I'll try one more time -- the manager DID say "call me if you need anything," right? I call him -- he immediately asks if the check engine light is on (it's not) -- and basically tells me "we don't do anything for noises." Lovely. He texts me later saying it's still under Ford warranty (gee, thanks). Meanwhile, I'm doing some digging -- turns out the Buyer's Guide lists a warranty but with zero actual info on it. I had to formally request the warranty details (which should have been provided at purchase), along with the details of the extended warranty I paid for. That was last Wednesday. No response Thursday. Reminded them Friday. It's now Tuesday -- still nothing. And just to top it all off -- they didn't even bother resetting the oil life indicator. After supposedly changing the oil as part of their prep, the car is already showing 8% oil life. Just the cherry on top of an experience that truly screams attention to detail. Summary: If you love doing your own warranty research, chasing managers for info, discovering surprise fees, and hearing "we don't do anything for noises" after dropping $10K -- THIS is the place for you. Purchased a 2019 GMC Yukon. Overall experience was ok. They tried to sneak in a tire and wheel package in my purchase. They told me to get the inspection sticker at my local state inspection location, which I did. My car failed due to unsafe tires, ironic... because of the tire and wheel package? So, I called to let them know and to make it right. They stated to bring the car to them and they would pass my car. So they're willing to put a sticker on an unsafe vehicle just to avoid making it right and putting new tires on the vehicle. I do not recommend this dealership. read more

BEWARE: DEALERSHIP DOES NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR USED CARS. I bought a used van from this dealership in October of 2024. In short, this dealership sold me a van with a bad battery, drained by add-on equipment they left in the van. I called the dealership 32 days after the car was delivered to let them know and they refused to fix the problem. It was very clearly "my problem." In fact, the sales manager told me that "cars don't start unless you drive them regularly." Wow! Thanks- 30 years of driving and I guess, as a woman, I never figured that out. I bought a Jeep there. The experience was terrible. We agreed on a price, and I left a deposit. When I came back to get the vehicle, lots of hidden fees had been added. While we were doing the paperwork, someone performed "glass etching" and I was forced to pay an additional $400. I didn't want this, but even if I did, my insurance company will do this for free. Now their sales dept calls me about once a week harassing me to buy a new car. I have repeatedly asked to be removed from their call list. Don't ever give them your real phone number. Like many people, I dread the process of buying a car (I worked in a car dealership for almost 3 years in college, so I know a bit about how it all works and the kind of employees that you sometimes have to deal with!). I bought a Jeep Liberty on 7/30/12, and my salesman Jonathan was a great guy. He was laid back and humorous, listened to what I wanted and could afford, and in the end encouraged me to buy what has turned out to be the best (used) car I've ever owned! Jonathan followed up with me several times about how I was enjoying the Jeep, and when I called him over a month later with a question (I had left something in my trade-in, oops!) he remembered who I was and even inquired about something that I had mentioned to him when I bought the car. This past Thursday, after the big 'storm', I had to bring my Jeep in because it was acting crazy... I did not get the name of the service manager that I worked with... I was quite distraught over the thought of having to put a ton of $$ into repairs... but he was wonderfully kind and helpful, and gave me a fair deal on the diagnostics and an oil change (turned out I messed something up when using the 4wd, an easy fix!). So, I'm a lot less apprehensive about the whole process now, and look forward to working with the Clark dealership more in the future! read more

This place was incredible! Sales and management was so nice and helpful. My husband and I drove down from Merrimack NH and didn't realize that they had closed a half hour before we got there. We walked in and was asked if we needed help and I said that I saw a Jeep Wrangler on the web site that I wanted to see. The sales guy said that they were closed but he was nice enough to help us out anyway. The place is a dump and a ghost town. The sales staff is rude. I should have known I was in for a bad experience when I drove in. The Customer parking area was totally empty. There were sales people hanging around outside (probably because they had nothing to do). I went in and the lone sales guy in the whole empty showroom didn't know much about the vehicle I was interested in but he was the only person in there so I didn't have a choice. They only had two of the vehicles I was looking for (one two-door and one four-door). We went for a test-drive in one even though I didn't really care for it, but I figured they could locate one with options I liked. We got back to the showroom so he could look up features I asked him about - all he had was a 2009 book even though it was a 2011 vehicle. He suggested I look into a $48,000 Grand Cherokee instead of what I was looking at which was about $25k cheaper. I asked him to run the numbers on what we test-drove anyway just so I would have an idea. Not even two minutes later he returned telling me that the guy didn't want to "waste his time" running numbers for me because I am unemployed (which I had mentioned when I told him I couldn't afford the $48k truck). I was shocked and asked if he was serious and he said yes and just sat there. So I left. I will never return. read more

My brother (a local firefighter) bought a BRAND NEW Ram 2500 from this place and noticed water on the floor after a rain storm. Turns out Ram has a history of leaky back windows. So after a half dozen trips back to the dealer and their repeated failed attempts to fix it, they pretty much told him to pound sand. The worse dealership EVER!!!!!!! In 2014 we purchased a 2013 CERTIFIED Dodge Durango. The next day we drove to Florida and all the problems started! The A/C/heat vents were lose (1 year old car!!!!!), the right front tire was always leaking we took the car to Clark and they "fixed it" and it continued. We took it to another shop the problem was solved. The front bumper was lose. Clark fixed it. The A/C was making weird noises, Clark "fixed it". The A/C back lines needed replacement, we took it to 495 because it was to much driving to Clark, we are from Lowell. The A/c now is leaking, apparently transmission was rubbing on the line. They say it's 495's fault!!!! When we hit 70 on the highway the car starts shaking so bad. How can it be?! Not even 5 years old and it has so many problems! In one of our visits we were willing to get the same kind of car, same year, same adds on, and pay the same amount. Our suggestion was declined because the cars were more expensive. We spoke with both "managers" and the way they treat us and handle the issues makes us not want another Dodge EVER. Bad, bad, bad. The car was in an accident and they say they have no knowledge! I am not an expert and I can tell it was hit.... Honestly, if I felt we were supported and understood by the people working there we would lease from them.... read more

Salesperson Rick was knowledgeable and informative but did not pressure or waste our time with phony pitches. He provides a relaxed environment .... like sitting on a front porch and just chatting. Worst service ever!!!! I had an appointment this morning to have a recall serviced on my daughters van. I get there and they tell me "oh we're sorry we never ordered the part"! That's after waiting for about 15 minutes. I ask them if they could at least run a test to see why my check engine light is on and I'm told it would cost me $100. I wait another 45 minutes for that. They tell me it's my erg valve and it would cost me $500 to replace it. I left and went directly to my mechanic who is doing it for under $200! I will never go back there! This service department had our Jeep Compass for three days last week and after all that time determined a pvc valve needed to be replaced. Three day later the car becomes disabled again and took it back but got no credit at all for the original part they fixed. Instead they replace a totally different part. I was very disappointed in the trade in we got from the manager on our car. Unfortunately I had to bring in the vehicle 3 weeks after I bought it for service.
