Worst service department! I bought my car new. I waited for it to come in and for the service department to check it out. When I got home, I realized there was a tear in the roof and the tailgate sensor was not working . Since then, I have had numerous issues that they cannot figure out how to fix on the first second or third try. After I get home. I realize the problem is not fixed and have to bring it back. Recently brought my car because the emergency breaking and lane assist was not working, they told me a bracket was cracked and needed to replaced for $800. I brought the paperwork with the part number to an autobody who ordered the part. when they went to replace it realized it was not cracked, and was in perfect condition. I brought the old part that was in perfect condition back to the dealership when I went back because lane assist and emergency breaking was still not working. They said the computer needed to be calibrated at $225. The next day I get a call that it is a sensor that needs to be replaced and will cost even more money. Long story short, the service department has no idea what they're doing and tried to charge me $800 to replace a part that was not damaged. I was told by many people when I bought my car do not go to the service department in Peabody because the mechanics are the worst! I have experienced this first hand. As much as I love my car, I will be trading it in at another dealership. Having a car that can't be serviced is pointless and dishonest service technicians read more

In my opinion: Worst car dealership I've ever dealt with. They even gave me a random mini van as a loaner and falsely billed me for replacing a strut they did not replace. My wife dropped her car off at 10 am on Saturday to diagnose an issue with her land rover discovery. When the car was dropped off, we were told they would keep up in the loop on what was wrong so we could figure out if she needed a rental for work on Monday morning. NO information was given until my wife reached out the next morning to find out what was happening. The service gentleman then responded an hour and 15 minutes later telling us they need to keep the car For a few days. So we had 1 hour to find a rental because "we can't give you your car back, nor can we get a loaner because we only take care of customers who bought their car here." - seems like a great dealership. So here we are, Sunday 11:41, no rental car, no car we dropped off. I will never use this joke of a dealership again, nor will I hold back any negative comments I have anywhere the public can see. UPDATE: I received a text from my wife this morning at 11:53 stating that landrover called her, not to update her on her car but to get my contact information. At 11:58 I received a call from the general manager of Land Rover of Peabody, I Dave. He was abrasive, arrogant, and flat out rude. He began stating that my claims were false (even though the screen shots and time stamps prove otherwise), told me I was lucky the service manager ever got back to us on Sunday because they're close... if he had just gotten back to us on Saturday we wouldn't be in this predicament.. then he continued to ask what I do for a living, to which I told him and he asked "would you answer your phone on a Sunday", quite frankly if I left someone without any answer yes, yes I would. After he continued to try and attack my character he ended with " this is a private dealership, we have the right to refuse service to anyone we choose to. Come pick up your wife's car by 5 o clock we're not working on it."... great ok that's all well and fine, but when my wife called back, because it is in fact her car, he told her she should be embarrassed to be married to a man like myself. Now that is the type of person Land Rover has as their GM for their Peabody location. All because he didn't like the fact that in my review I called them a joke, to which all of the facts add up to it in fact, being a giant joke. My dad has a Hummer and has been raving to me about dealerships that take you for a ride on a "test terrain" so when I found out my friend was checking out Range's I decided to go along for the ride. The lot had a ton of new and used Range Rovers and Land Rovers (note to my future husband... I think white RR w tan leather may be the best for us................) Matt assisted the search and was more than happy to take us for a test drive over the terrain - seriously, drive by this place and check out the rock wall out front, that is what you drive over. The service here is lousy. First of all they don't answer the phone. When you're able to book an appointment it's at least a month wait. Makes me wonder how good can their cars really be if people are booking for repairs a month out? When I asked if the issue becomes an urgent matter before my appointment, what should I do they said check with another Land Rover dealership to see if I can get in? In other words, they don't care if your car breaks down. The most infuriating part is that I wasn't asking for an appointment sooner. I'm trying to understand the urgency of the issue so I don't find myself broken down somewhere. instead they put a scheduler on the phone that knows nothing. That said, if the issue is determined to be urgent they should be accommodating those customers and prioritizing them. Customer service is not hard, but seems to be a foreign concept here. read more

First time I've ever purchased from LR Peabody and definitely the last! Our three experiences with the Service dept. have been awful. It's one excuse after another and nothing is ever their fault. We purchased a brand new LR Discovery in December and it's already been in the repair shop 3 times, one of those times it had to be towed! After the latest repair (oil leak and the car only has 12k miles on it) my car was returned to me absolutely filthy. It smells like oil, diesel was dripped down the side that even a car wash couldn't take off and the rims were covered in mud. The latest excuse was that they changed detailing companies this week...again another excuse. They talk a really good talk about the exceptional service you will supposedly receive when purchasing from them. Trust me, it's ALL talk. We will for sure be using Land Rover of Sudbury for all service and maintenance going forward! I took my Discovery there once for a quick software update and the service department was fantastic. My car was returned to me an hour later, update complete and sparkling clean. We regret not buying from Sudbury!!! read more

Thank you for your excuses but as I stated, the window sticker's mileage was lower than what he was trying to convince me of and even still im no where near that doing all highway driving and never during heavy traffic times. Also, if I had any interest in having him as my sales man I would've approached him. Obviously there was a reason I approached a different sales man after my sister went the day prior, and obviously theres a reason my sisters did not end up buying from you guys. Yeah my car does come with a remote starter that I am well aware of how to use, but as you guys have openly admitted on the phone while trying to get me in for service "these new cars are having a lot of issues". Perhaps you should focus on correcting the issues with in your establishment instead of excusing them and making your high paying customers feel worse about their experience. read more

So my 2014 Rover broke down on the highway the other day, luckily i was able to move it into the breakdown lane. It wasnt the first time that it's broken down, but its the first that required a towtruck (the first time the car was fine again after a few minutes of restarting,I brought it in and they said it needed an "update" lol yeah okay. anyways I waited 3 hours for the tow truck, but I suppose it's not this dealership's fault. it was towed Saturday night, I called Sunday morning and requested a loaner, since I need transportation to and from work. Sales told me that service was closed so I have to call Monday morning. Fine. Completely understandable. Called Monday morning and they said that I need to "schedule" for a loaner car. How the hell am I supposed to know when I needed a loaner car?? I didn't know my car was going to break down! To make matters worse, the dealership is off Route 1, a very busy highway. Only accessible by car. So I have no car, and had to beg for rides to work. I picked up my car today and had to uber to get it. No loaner, no rental. Upon purchasing the car I was promised "loaners for when you come for maintenance" but I guess not for when your car breaks down on the highway. Luckily it was late and wasn't busy, who knows what could have happened. It's a three year old car with less than 30k miles. It's been back to the dealership for more "maintenance" and "updates" than my father's Nissan Pathfinder, and that's at 50k miles! for half the price!! Don't get me wrong. these are some baller cars. they look good, and can leave a good impression. However, you'll end up paying more for maintenance than the car itself. Thank god I have warranty. read more
