I think this is…read morebecause the grocery stores offer the convenience of custom cut meat or a decent meat selection as well as the rest of your grocery items, so their one-stop convenience killed the independent meat markets. This is where Steve's Meat Market steps in. Outside the city limits, between Mishicot and TR, you'll find this meat market situated on the west side of highway 147. It might not look like much from the outside, but inside they have some of the finest cuts of meat that a person could ask for. If you get a steak, you'll not only find excellent marbling that makes for good juicy flavor, but it is cut fresh and not something that has been sitting in a display for days. Bacon is something I don't like to compromise on and the big brand bacon you find packaged and sold in a grocery store just doesn't cut it with me. Even their "thick cut" variety pales in contrast to the bacon you can buy at the local meat shops out in the country. Steve's bacon is excellent. Ten times better than the stuff you find from the store packages. Smoked and cured to perfection. Once you taste good bacon and have it easily within reach to purchase, there is no going back. Their weiners or hot dogs are excellent as well. Wisconsin is blessed with some good meat markets and Steve's is one of those.
